The space

Gîte du Couchant:

On the plateau of Valensole, in the heart of Haute-Provence and lavender fields, in the Verdon Regional Natural Park, we welcome you all year round in our 18th century bastide, listed in the general inventory of monuments and artistic riches of France.

Surrounded by 120 ha of truffle boxes, Clos de la Tuilerie is located on the edge of the hamlet of Saint-Grégoire, on the old transhumance road (draille) of the herds of Arles.

The calm, authenticity and panoramic views stretching from Sainte-Baume to Dévoluy and from Luberon to Verdon characterize this unique place. You will have the opportunity to discover an often unknown corner of Provence with an exceptional climate: more than 300 sunny days a year and a sky renowned for its purity, paradise of amateur astronomers.

You can relax in the garden or by the pool, practice many sports activities (hiking, cycling, horseback riding) or cultural in the immediate vicinity of the cottage.

Completely restored in 2012 and classified three ears by the Gîtes de France, the Gîte du Levant, with an area of 120m2, offers unusual volumes (vaulted room on the ground floor, high ceiling on the first floor).

It has an exceptional view of the garden, and beyond, on the Plateau de Valensole and the Southern Prealps, from the Pic de Bure (91 km) to the Verdon.

Functional and very comfortable, it can accommodate up to four people and has an independent entrance, terrace and garden.

-Internal equipment:
- Living-dining room furnished in the old window with stove, television (wall with exposed pebbles).
- Terrace accessible from the living room, with a garden table and chairs, for aperitifs or holiday meals

- Fully equipped kitchenette (electric oven, ceramic hobs, hood, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine).
- Separate toilets
- Two bedrooms : the first with a bed of 160x200 cm, the second with 2 beds of 90x200 cm. All beds are equipped with duvets.
- A bathroom with walk-in shower and retro sinks.

The cottage is rented with bed trimmings and bath towels.

- Outdoor equipment:

In front of the cottage, you will find a private garden, furniture (table, chairs, deckchairs, umbrella) and a barbecue.

- The family swimming pool is available from 8: 00 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m. and from 2: 00 p.m. to 7: 30 p.m. Open from mid-May to late September (depending on weather conditions).

- For your comfort, parking is provided for the vehicles of our guests.

To make your stay more enjoyable, if you come with children, we can provide you with a crib, high chair.

You will have access to the cottage, its terrace, its garden with 2 parking spaces.

The sky is remarkably pure: ideal for astronomy evenings!
