We had a great two nights here. Highly recommended. Great location on the River and very nice apartment. It was everything you need available. The contact was straightforward and very friendly.

Comfortable stay, only criticism is small items missing like salt, pepper, tea, coffee. Most self catering places have the basics which would have improved the stay.

We had a great stay at 6 The Bridge, despite the constant load-shedding, and one night's total power failure. The place is very neat and probably has the nicest view of all the river facing units. The stoep/balcony is lovely, but be aware of the monkeys and don't leave the stoep door open and unattended for too long. We had a kitchen raider on one occasion. The cleaning lady (I forget her name now) was also super friendly and helpful. Being St Lucia, all the shops and restaurants were in easy walking distance from the unit. Heard lots of hippos at night, but never saw one up in the unit's gardens.

We really enjoyed our stay. Elri was very responsive and friendly. The apartment had a few little things that made a difference during load shedding, a small gas cooker and kettle was the life saver for early morning tea and coffee! The apartment was spacious for our little family of 4. The aircon was a godsend on a stinking hot day! The apartment amenities are great. There is no WiFi, but we made do with the DStv bouquet. It was a welcomed surprise that the unit came with daily cleaning but I felt the cleaner wasn’t great, not entirely sure what her remit was but she didn’t appear to clean much but rather just tidied. You could see this in places in the apartment. While The apartment location is far enough away from the “bustling” St Lucia town that it’s peaceful but close enough to walk. A river cruise is a must if you haven’t done it before and a trip for an experience to the famous banana box shop for delicious biltong and ice cream and pretty much anything else you can imagine 😂

We stayed for 5 nights, the apartment is a great size (there were 5 adults staying) and well equipped however there were a few things that needed repairing/replacing. I have let Elri know. The listing was also not accurate, it mentioned it was on the beachfront with a private beach area. The beach is a 30+ min walk or a 10 min drive. The apartment is well situated next to a supermarket and a very short walk from all the other shops and restaurants. The security guards were very friendly and helpful. The apartment is situated next to the river which was nice, as we got to see Hippo's from the balcony. There is also a nice swimming pool on the complex. There is no wifi which is a shame as many of the apartment blocks a few doors down offer wifi. I feel a welcome pack would have been a great addition, as we arrived in the evening and was handed the key by the security guard so we were not sure where all the facilities were. The washing machine and dryer is in the garage outside the apartment but is only open while the lady is there (around 8-2pm). You have to make sure you do the washing yourself with your own powder otherwise the lady in there will expect to be paid. She will also offer her services for cleaning etc but again, this is at an extra charge. Watch out for the monkeys too, they arent afraid to enter the apartment while you are there. We squirting them with some water once and they stayed away the rest of the holiday. Lots of fantastic restaurants a short walk, so make sure to try them out!

    The Bridge is a family orientated wildlife retreat and is not a suitable party venue for adult only groups wishing to consume alcohol. No more than 10 persons may gather at one place on the common property. No gatherings over unit capacity allowed in apartments Only paying guests allowed on the property – all drop offs and collections must be made at the main gate. No alcohol may be consumed in the common property, including braai and pool areas. Guests under the influence of liquor are not allowed on the common property. No music or speakers on the common property. Music / TV’s may not cause disturbance outside your unit Please be aware that raised voices from inside the unit and balconies may disturb other guests. Masks are to be worn at all times in the common property. Please wear a mask and maintain social distancing if staff enter your apartment to clean etc.
