The space

Step outside and you're already in the middle of one of Barcelona's most lived-in neighborhoods - the Sant Antoni market is right on your doorstep, and the grid of Eixample streets fans out in every direction, full of bakeries, wine bars, and the kind of café where locals linger over a second coffee.

Living space & entertainment
Inside, the apartment has real character. Original furniture and oil paintings brought from South Africa give the space a distinct, personal feel that sets it apart from a standard city rental. Settle in after a day of exploring with the 42 inch HDTV with Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, or simply enjoy the calm of the interior. The apartment sits at the corner of C/ Urgell and C/ Sepúlveda in Barcelona's Eixample Esquerra district, directly beside the Sant Antoni market. Pro's: Excellent compact apartment on the 6th floor of a 7th-floor modern block, but with good lifts!, well-equipped, very good location with a great supermarket (BonPreu) a minute away, good choice of cafes and restaurants and very close to the metro. We were met by Maria who did a great job of introducing us to the building and the apartment - it would have been next to impossible to access the apartment without her! Con's: My problem with this booking was that it is not 'hosted'. The agency, after requesting my personal email, "so we can process your reservation", then did not respond to any of my communications with them via Airbnb. All further communication was via their "management system," which turned out to be AI-generated US software and required personal information, including passport details. The agency provided no clear information that this was the way they operated, or regarding the security of the third-party software.

Had a great stay here! The location was perfect for us, we were able to get to the main sites in a 20 minute walk! The place was very clean, beds and pillows were super comfortable, and we felt safe in the building.

We arrived by taxi from the train station. Anna met us at the apartment, showed us everything we needed, very helpful. Great location, airy and comfortable apartment, comfortable beds, close to grocery store. Metro only a few blocks away which we used for Sagrada Familia since it was raining. (It’s about a 40 minute walk.). Barcelona is a lovely walkable city and we would stay here again.

Please do not smoke in the apartment, this is a smoke free apartment. You can do it outside of the apartment, enjoying the local street-life view. - 2. Please respect our neighbours, be mindful of noise levels in the stairwells as well as in the apartment, at all times. Loud noise (from 21h to 9h) and parties are totally forbidden in the apartment. Breaking this rule will lead to you being removed from the apartment at any time, day or night, without any refunds. - 3. Use proper attire (shirt, trousers and shoes) at all times, while in the common areas of the building. - 4. Use air conditioning and heating responsively, and remember also to turn off the lights when you are out of the apartment. (We pay one of the higher prices for electricity in Europe and we want to continue offering nice prices on the rental, please help us to achieve it). - 5. For your safety double lock the door, and close the windows every time you go out, during your stay. - 6. Lodging more people than originally made in the reservation is strictly forbidden. Any damage to the apartment, furniture or other contents will be deducted from the security deposit. - 10. Please show you care. Leave the flat as you found it, take out your trash and don’t leave dirty dishes.
