Good location few minutes walk to the centre of Alnwick. Parking not far from the property. Everything you need for a short stay. Nicely decorated, plenty seating. Heating worked well. Liked the separate kitchen/diner. Tea/coffee/milk was a nice touch. Comfy beds.
Could do with a little tlc in places but don’t let that put you off.

The location was excellent for the town centre & local parking was easy. The property was very well quipped & cosy.
The property took a little while to heat up on arrival (it was bitter outside), maybe the heating could have been put on pre-arrival. A larger double bed in the main bedroom would improve the overall appeal.

Great central location, no problems with car parking, used disc 8-12 then on return overnight (20yds from the property) free parking was also available 150 yds away. Apartment warm and comfortable, very well equipped as described. Would highly recommend and happily return again.

Lovely big spacious apartment in a central location.
The bathroom sink is not stable. If someone accidentally leant on it too hard it would come off the wall. I asked for someone to come out and look at it in a 5 day stay. Despite emails acknowledging it noone took this seriously and actually came to look at it/fix it. Concerning when I have young kids. Hopefully they will now. It is a shame as a gorgeous apartment in a lovely location.

Location amazing perfect for Alnwick Castle and for the towns pubs and restaurants, easy check in with an email for main door code and lock box for the room key sent day before arrival.
Lovely and clean with a modern look and feel to the property.
Parked on the main road next to the castle entrance for free literally 2 minute walk
The front door to the apartment had a clear glass panel this could be frosted for a little more privacy

The accommodation was in a great location and we were very pleasantly surprised by how big the apartment was. Really well equipped and the record player and classic records were a lovely touch
The up front insurance deposit of £250 was a little worrying and was nearly as much as the accommodation costs for the weekend. There were signs of wear and tear and I was worried that we were going to be held accountable and not receive the money back, but we did after 14 days, as promised.

Good location, nice style and spacious
Needs a freshen up. Advertised as free parking and there is no free parking at the address. When I asked where the free parking was I was told there is plenty of street parking free of charge, when we arrived this is all disc parking and there was no disc at the apartment!

Very central and surprisingly quiet
It was well equipped, clean and tidy.
Clear instructions for accessing property
Good sized bedrooms
Living/kitchen area quite small and could be better configured. Difficult to find a space to move the table out to eat at.
The two sofas are definitely past their best. Was a challenge to sit comfortably for any length of time.

It was right in the centre of Alnwick which was brilliant to get around with some lovely pubs and restaurant's. We did some lovely walking why we were away and explored other parts around Alnwick.
The windows were dirty on the outside and the courtyard you couldn't sit in as it had so many weeds growing spoiled it. The mirror in the bathroom was dirty and still had toothpaste or soap on it and the shower screen hadn't been cleaned either also finger prints on the mirror in one of the bedrooms and dust on glass table in the other bedroom. Beds were also small so we ended up hanging off them in the night.

Very comfy beds. Clean white linen.
Tidy.
Good location.
This property has the POTENTIAL to be very nice but it wasn't.
Staff on phone and email were all courteous.
Untidy, unkempt, dirty communal areas.
Patio - 5 foot weeds, unusable.
Cleaning not thorough.
Hob not working.
Compulsory insurance charges were a surprise and are not shown in the pricing information section.
Excessive cleaning charge.
No onsite parking despite the listing symbols. Nearest overnight parking is 300 yards and car has to be moved for 4 hours in each 24 hour period). This would be a real issue for anyone with mobility issues.
Alll the above issues were reported whilst we were there.
Before booking I would suggest contacting Host and Stay to see if the issues have been rectified.
I would not stay here again. Only the good weather and comfy bed stopped me from leaving. We spent as little time as possible in the apartment because of all the issues.
I received a partial refund after contacting the CEO of Host and Stay who looked into the matter immediately on my behalf.
The rating is for his intervention and the comfy bed otherwise it would be a minus.
There could be a lot right with this apartment but there is more wrong with it currently. It needs a thorough regular inspection and a reliable cleaning/ maintenance contractor to put things right.

Decor very attractive
Beds comfortable
Rooms clean
No lock on bathroom door for unrelated guests. Lock on downstairs toilet jammed. Kitchen utensils dirty. Had to scrape 1 pan and wash cups. Only 1 glass tumbler. Had to buy more. Shower leaks. Tray very shallow. Had previously leaked into downstairs toilet, patch on ceiling which was wet. Problems speaking to Host & Stay rep who didn’t understand. Seemed to be abroad. Only 1 key for front door. Couldn’t go out separately.

Location in Alnwick and seemed the best of the apartments. Modern, spacious, had everything we needed.
Bed too hard. Freezer compartment in fridge was totally iced up. All windows needed clearing inside and out. Weeds on patio and approach to apartment very bad.

The central location was excellent. The apartment was very clean inside. The beds were particularly comfortable.
We didn’t use the outside space. It was full of weeds. It would take little time to make the space comfortable. The blinds on the bedroom windows had to be pulled down all the time as the apartment was so close to the street. The windows needed cleaned. There were limitations to the parking time that we had to deal with.

Town centre, on-street location but very quiet and peaceful. Handy for the shops and for eating out. Nice pub 200 yds away. Free 24 hr car parking 300 yds away. Tasteful decor.
A storage cupboard in the kitchen for foodstuffs would be a useful addition. Wifi was intermittent all week. Although the owner requested rubbish to be sorted and then binned in the bin storage area, there was no bin (blue) for recycled materials. No doubt the owner will correct that. The lock on the downstairs toilet was difficult to unlock (stiff to turn).

Good location, modern renovated flat
We were asked to pay £300 in advance, or take insurance at £30. Finally received a refund of £290 after a week. (When booking through Booking. com it was mentioned £250, with full refund!)
There was no washing up liquid, no dishwasher tablets (but tablets for (not existing) washing machine!
Entrance hall and courtyard looked distinctly shabby.
Over all, the flat seemed overpriced.

Great location
Modern furniture although did feel like student accommodation furniture not comfy to watch TV
Well stocked kitchen although we didn’t use anything we ate out
Very disappointed we had to pay extra for insurance? Never had to do this before with any other accommodation booked and we stay and book a lot of breaks
Sofa and chairs not suitable for older people felt like student accommodation furniture
Step out of bedroom and up to kitchen and hall were dangerous especially if you got up through the night for the toilet
Narrow staircase up 2 flights to reach flat again not suitable for mobility issues
No TV in any bedroom which would be good if you had kids
Skirtings all need washed down lots of dust on every one and takes clean look away from flat as it was clean
Deposit not being returned for 14days after leaving is unacceptable

Beautiful apartment and lovely stay for the weekend. Great location close to town centre and Alnwick castle and Alnwick gardens. Beautifully decorated and furnished with lots of great little extras vinyl record player etc. Plus of a little outdoor seating area. Comfortable bed and everything we needed. Easy to find and codes were easy to access both the building and apartment.
Cleaning extras under the sink would be a plus, washing up liquid, anti bacterial spray, toilet cleaner and more than one dishwasher tablet & toilet roll.
Outside area could do with a tidy, weeding and power washing. Windows could also do with a clean.
The £30 non refundable waiver needs to be reconsidered as was an extra cost we hadn’t planned for. Feel this should be made refundable after stay.
Parking was difficult as no one street parking but did find a free car park at the top of the hill.
Nothing to put us off a lovely weekend & would definitely stay again in the future.

Good central location for Alnwick. Nicely turned out, beds comfortable, great shower.
The most annoying thing was that we were forced to pay £25 for damage cover, which we hadn’t spotted in the small print when booking and only learnt about just before our visit. This got things off to a poor start.
The flat was missing some things that would be helpful - kitchen roll, adequate toilet paper, washing up liquid. Claimed to have enviro friendly toiletries, but were all in plastic. Very low sofas.
Support was difficult to get hold of - it would have been nice to talk to a person, but I have received repeated emails saying I can stay an extra night ahead of my stay, even though I have finished my stay - too corporate and without the personal touch.

Lay out, and spacious rooms, location to shops, free parking, only a pound for parking discs.
Nothing we didn't like, clocks in property didn't work, except for cooker clock, appliance instructions should have been more visible like on kitchen table, bin store should have been better described like top of stairs at back of property. Didn't meet any staff/hosts so can't comment on it. Radiator in bathroom noisy , It seems like they needed bleeding along with the other radiators

Fantastic location, minutes' walk from town centre amenities (although be warned both bedrooms front onto the road and there is a fair bit of late night/early morning noise from both people and traffic).
Well-equipped kitchen and comfortable seating, although the downstairs space is smaller than upstairs. Great to have a downstairs loo as well as the house bathroom.
A lock on the bathroom door would have been nice, and some instructions about local recycling rules (which we had to google to make sure we were doing it right!) but everything else was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Location
We thought it was on ground floor with outside space. (See photo below) When we arrived it was up 4 lots of stairs, narrow and twisting. As we are all in our 70s this was very difficult.
The bathroom needed attention. The toilet seat was loose and it was impossible to put anything on shelf as things slid off.
The previous week we had stayed in an apartment with everything one could have wanted. A kitchen with a pod coffee machine and lots of pods, a welcoming bottle of milk in fridge. There was absolutely nothing to welcome you into the apartment.
The dining area had very poor quality, revolving high stools. Again, being in our 70s it was impossible to get up on them. We ended up eating with plates on our laps
If you plan to stay make sure you clarify the parking situation. Disc parking is not easy to work out.

The property was very central and walking distance to the town & castle. The property was big, and was more than enough space for 4 of us.
As it was a 4 person property I did expect 2 sets of keys. My partner and I was at a wedding whilst my mum did her own thing with my little girl for one day but unfortunately the property couldn’t provide a spare set of keys.
My partner and I got home at early hours of the morning and my mum had to keep the front door unlocked for us to get in. There was a key lock outside the property but there wasn’t a way for my mum to use this when she needed the key to lock in side also. This was the only thing, otherwise the property was fantastic :)

The location was as expected in the town so we did not need to drive when going out for evening meals. We were somewhat concerned that public parking would be difficult, although free, but there is a free 24 hour car park very close.
The apartment was exceptionally well fitted out and had everything one could possibly need for a short stay. However the interior is dark. With bedroom windows directly on the street there is no privacy unless blinds are drawn, also some noise from passing traffic.
Bedroom windows looking straight on to the street, meaning blinds had to be drawn closed for privacy. Some form of screening would help, perhaps voile curtains or another interior blind.
The sitting room is very dark having no natural light.

Perfect location and great facilities for me my partner and little one within the apartment. The place was lovely And clean and exactly what we were looking for. A kitchen/living area to cook and so my little one could play and then separate bedrooms to not disturb eachother on an evening, basically from home
To home vibes which is just what we wanted with our first little trip away.
There was close parking near by however with a toddler and all the stuff you need we couldn’t have carried it all and pushed a pushchair therefore we did have to pull up outside to unload which wasn’t ideal as it was double yellow lines ! Also we had to climb a lot of stairs up to the apartment and again with a toddler this was a lot and we had to be pretty cautious he didn’t get too near the stairs when he was exploring the place and playing. We also didn’t appreciate that you had to pay a fee incase of any damage and both options you were either having to pay £25.00 or £10.00 on top of already paying for the accommodation. I appreciate it needs to be in place however I do think you should get it back if no damage has been caused.

Excellent location. Parking near-by. Easy entry using door code and key box. Comfy bed. Usual kitchen equipment.

It was a beautiful apartment, the kitchen was extremely well equipped and being right next to Alnwick castle was incredible. The free parking down the road was really helpful (though I imagine it would be difficult to get a space in the peak of summer). Very easy to check in and out.

Great location, close to the castle, shops, good pubs & restaurants. Spacious flat, well appointed kitchen/rooms. Bright & comfortable, good hanging space. Well equipped throughout.
Kitchen not very clean, same cloth had evidently been used to wipe the splashback above the cooker as the TV! Some maintenance needed here and there. There are three flights of stairs to the flat which were not a problem for us but might be for others, we may have missed this in the info? The high dining table is great for tall people but not so great for short people...the high stools were challenging!

The apartment was well equipped, modern and spacious. It was clean and tidy.
The beds were clean and comfortable.
Communication was good, before, during and after our stay. Found the apartment fairly well, and entry instructions were spot on.
No parking on the road, so had to move the car to streets nearby.
I didn’t like the the amount of clutter around, lamps and tables and dressings, don’t think they are necessary in a holiday rental.
I object to the robbery of £10 of my breakages deposit being kept, as administration. We were only there for 2 nights and of course didn’t break anything, but to keep this money is not on.
The WiFi is very hit and miss, drops off regularly and we had to reboot the router many times, I think this has been mentioned by other reviewers before.
The outside ares is very nice, but hasn’t been cleaned, swept or tidied up for a long time. I had to clean a chair to sit on it. Again this has been mentioned before, by reviewers.
The sofas and chair in the lounge area are not particularly comfortable, very low, and lumpy.

The location was good, the apartment was well presented from a distance. We were thankful for the milk sachets. The bathrooms were nice and pleasantly clean.
The outside table and chairs as well as the main area and bedroom and windows, need some extra cleaning measures putting in place.
The paint is looking quite tired throughout the property, marks on almost all the walls, it really needs a splash back by the kitchen sink.
Unhappy with hidden charges demanded to be paid before arrival. At £25 non refundable 'damage wavier' or a semi refundable £250 in 14 days. Apparently 'standard practice' but I've never had this before. This is my main reason I won't book with Host & Stay again.

Location was excellent (2nd to none). It was clean. Lots of stairs. Forced to pay for insurance after booking (hidden costs)
Parking was off site. A 5 minute walk. Had to pay for insurance while we were there so an extra £25 (or an option to leave a £250 refundable deposit) plus £10 fee for the pleasure. Just put insurance in the price of the stay upfront. Can't check in until 4pm but have to check out at 10am. We had 25 stairs to climb too with a baby and no stair gate provided. No cafetiere or coffee pods just instant. Living room is small. Multiple messages about "if you break anything you must inform us before you leave etc..." message on first night reminding us to ensure we check out by 10am. No one met us with keys.

Great location overlooking Alnwick Castle and near to the town centre. The apartment looked to have been very recently decorated. It had everything we needed and everything was to a high standard. Excellent value for money.
Only on-street parking, which could be a bit hit-and-miss, however we managed to find free overnight spaces in Pottergate New Row car park which is very close to the apartment.

Apartment is gorgeous. Clean and comfortable. It looks every bit as good as in the photos.
Despite booking as 1 adult and 2 12 yr old children we were allocated two double rooms rather than a double and a twin. Had I known this was going to happen I wouldn't have booked as this wasn't ideal. The people staying in the apartment above were very noisy and my sleep was disturbed by them every night of the stay. Despite being for the apartment the wifi was very hit and miss. Although having all you need for self catering it was to the extent that there was nowhere to store any dry foods and hardly any work top available to prep food.

Great location. Comfy beds
The apartment was cluttered with unnecessary items, eg fake flowers.
Three wine glasses for four people??
Outside space needs attention.
The damage deposit is not inline with Booking.com T&C's. Be aware of either a £10 or £25 hidden cost. If you are taking a damage deposit you should be met at the property for a damaged check to take place. You are wide open to be blamed for something you didn't do otherwise.
Would not book again for this reason.

Well appointed in the center of the town
Well equipped apartment - in fact probably too may throws and cushions
The kitchen sink still has not been cleaned, this was reported as soon as we arrived - still waiting for a response to the voicemail I left

The apartment was well-equipped and was in Central Alnwick, handy for the Castle and exploring the town.
The flat was difficult to locate as there was a pedestrian area on the approach road, and no parking outside the property to unload luggage. It was up two flights of stairs and the living area was cramped and uncomfortable with no coffee table. The bar stools to the dining table were very high to get into and down from.

The location was perfect literally opposite the castle walls. It was clean and nicely furnished. There was tea coffee and milk, and in the kitchen washing up liquid, a dishwasher tablet and dishcloth and tea towel.
The bed was really comfortable. The shower was excellent!
The checking in process wasn’t easy I had completed it online and paid the £250 damage waiver 7 days prior to the holiday only to be told on the day of arrival I hadn’t done either! I had to phone them and provide evidence of my bank statement to prove I’d paid as they couldn’t find it. I didn’t receive an apology.
Also the outside area was dirty we had to clean the chairs and table before we could use them. The kitchen sink hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.

The apartment was spacious for 4 adults. It was really comfortable and was on the doorstep to everything so did not have to use the car. The kitchen was fully equipped with with everything and more you could need for your stay. The beds were lovely and comfortable and really spacious rooms.
The only thing that was a little bit of an annoyance was whenever the oven or hob was on without the extractor fan it would send the smoke alarms off as they were very sensitive to the heat.

We had a great stay here. The location was perfect and the view from the window of the top of the castle was beautiful. Lovely comfortable property
The basics were all clean but there were lots of places that needed a deep clean.
In the kitchen the corners of the worktop are very sharp. I would have been worried if I had young children that they could run into them and really hurt themselves. They are sharp enough that my friend caught and ripped her jacket on the one near the door to the garden. I caught myself on it too but fortunately didn’t rip my jacket.

We thought the location of the free parking areas could have been explained more clearly.
And a minor thing was that we couldn't get onto Netflix on the TV due to no Internet access. That really didn't spoil our visit but we thought you'd like to know.

Location
Learning I was being requested to buy insurance 1 day before my reservation. And I needed pay £35 total for it to get entry instructions (codes etc). Not good!!!
I called the number in the email that told me I needed this insurance and received a call center somewhere in the world. Told them I wasn’t going to pay it and he said he would waive it this time because it wasn’t mentioned in listing. I won’t be staying here again. Too much hassle.
The front door to street is so narrow hard to move bags in and out. Never told there would be dozens of steps up to apt.

Just a gorgeous apartment, well positioned for the town ctre, shops , reasturants & bars. Also Alnwick Castle, Gardens & Lilidorei.
We absolutely loved the apartment spacious, comfortable, and lovely little quiks, which I personally loved 😍 LP player, guitar, very nostalgic. The patio area is a massive bonus. And we were kept well informed by "Host & Stay " who manage the apartment. 10 out of 10 from all of us 4 that stayed 🙌 we would recommend and stay again.
Everything just fab

Very comfortable beds and pillows! We had amazing sleeps in this peaceful area close to town and next to beautiful Alnwick Castle. Warm, spacious and a great shower and bath. Felt we could really relax. Great to have two floors especially on a rainy day with a young family. Fantastic location in the town and free parking very close by. Appreciated the yoga mat!
Would have been helpful to have some olive oil provided and salt in the salt shaker. But not a huge deal!

i liked how close it was to the town , apartment had all the facilities needed for our stay .
i didn’t like the parking being so far away , as i had a disabled person with me who can’t walk to far. There were spider webs behind the bath and in living area , easily hoovered up. ( i was happy to do , if hoover was available)

Really lovely apartment in the centre of Alnwick, furnished to very high standards, everything we needed for our stay was provided.
It was really disappointing to be told by Host & Stay a week before that they could keep our £250 damage deposit for up to 2 weeks after our stay & would deduct a £10 admin charge, if we weren’t happy with this we could pay a £25 non refundable charge for AD insurance- non of this was explained at the time of booking which is unacceptable.

The apartment was very comfortable, well equipped, good decor and good location
The management company asked for payment on three occasions despite providing evidence we had paid at booking. Felt the communication was very automated not personal. Really liked the accommodation but the reminders of what we needed to do and not do quite patronising. We have left the property in what we believe to have been a good condition but yet to hear back about our security deposit

Location was excellent, just round the corner from the main street & a 5 minute walk from the castle & gardens. Close enough to supermarkets for supplies & long stay car parking just round the corner
There wasn't an abundance of hot water for showers.
The key code was supposed to be emailed the night before arriving & I had to message an hour before arriving asking for it.

Location was great, right in the centre of Alnwick, views of the castle.
Facilities listed were not included. Baby safety gates and baby high chair were on the listing, they were not in the apartment. I would not have booked an upstairs apartment with a 1 and 3 year old without these.
We had to report a kitchen shelf on arrival, which was hanging precariously.
Wi-Fi did not work for our whole stay.
Customer service whilst polite were wholly unhelpful in resolving our issues. We were told there was no baby gates and asked to have another look round for the high chair. We were asked to double check the password and turn off/on the router, none of which worked. We had to purchase mobile data to cover our stay.
We were asked to pay a £250 refundable safety deposit, not an issue with that, however there was a hidden £10 non-refundable administration fee. I informed customer service it was not listed in the listing and was asked to provide a screenshot. I felt there was not a genuine concern for transparency around these fees.
The twin room is directly opposite the stairs. Would not recommend for anyone with young children.
Even after our out of pocket expenses and complaints about lack of advertised facilities there was no attempt to rectify the issues.
Overall, I did not find this stay value for money.

Great central location. Fantastic apartment. Good facilities within apartment.
The apartment was beautifully renovated and decorated throughout. the whole apartment was spotlessly clean.
We thought the provision of books, dvds and games was a thoughtful touch.
We will certainly recommend to friends and family
We were unable to contact anyone on the telephone number provided and we were unable to access the website so we did not have access to parking info etc and had to work out for ourselves
We were unhappy with the check in and check out times. Too late in and too early out
French doors to outside space had been left unlocked and we were unaware for first 2 days of our stay.

We had NO HOT WATER and NO WIFI for our entire 7 day stay. We complained daily to the host, but nothing was ever resolved. If you encounter any problems, just know this is a big company and not a private host so you will likely not get any resolution. The place itself was very clean and in a perfect area. However, unless the issues have been fixed - you will be taking COLD SHOWERS and have no access to the Wifi.

Apartment was warm and cosy, a very short walk from the centre of Alnwick itself. Kitchen well furnished, living room comfortable. Bedrooms very cosy. Despite the bedrooms looking straight onto Narrowgate, they were surprisingly quiet at night. Tea / coffee / milk was appreciated on arrival.

The property was clean and close to amenities.
The communication from Host and Stay was extremely poor. Constantly questioning if I had paid (which I had via Booking.com) I had to prove this with a screenshot of bank details. On the day of our stay I had to ring to get details at 4pm. Quite frankly, this was appalling. I will never use this company again due to this.

We stayed in the Ochre apartment. Location was very near Alnwick Castle and town centre.
Some fixtures and fittings are poorly fitted, e.g. kitchen mixer tap almost falling off. Bathroom sink very loose. No kitchen wall unit or proper storage for crockery. Cramped rooms with low headroom as apartment is in an attic. Access to the Ochre apartment is up a long narrow spiral staircase that has inadequate handrails. Entrance is on a narrow street with double yellow lines and free parking is difficult to find and is a long walk to the apartment.

The apart was very modern with everything you need for a night away. Location was central a pub down the street which served good food. Check in was easy we unpacked the car then parked the car at the free carpark located down the street.
The apartment bedroom lighting was a bit dark when us ladies were trying to apply our make up.😬. The bedroom's are located at the front of the building which is not a problem if you are a good sleeper, which I'm not. The road outside the bedroom's was busy and the noise disturbed my sleep even with wearing ear plugs. The apart could maybe do with triple glazing to reduce road noise. That the only negative but we still enjoyed our lovely stay.

Lovely apartment, well appointed. Lots of nice design features. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything was very well set up and comfortable. Perfect location, right next to the castle, the town and the pubs!
Small point : Another shower room - maybe ensuite to the second bedroom - would have made it perfect, because with 4 adults sharing one loo there is always a queue! We would have been happy to pay more if there was another WC/shower.
We couldn't get parked on the nearest roads as there were time restrictions for non-residents, and had to park a couple of streets away but it was free and not too far to walk.

Location was central in Alnwick and the castle, restaurants, shops, etc. and we managed to find a free car parking space five minutes walk from the property.
Alnwick was a good centre for exploring the coastline, Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Berwick upon Tweed, Bamburgh Castle etc.
We did not feel we had enough information from Booking.com about parking and access to the apartment, and this caused us stress when we arrived, having been travelling for a week prior to this without internet access all the time.
Booking.com implied that there was parking at the property, but this was not the case. Free parking was available in the next street if we were lucky.
We did not realise we needed both a street door code and an apartment key safe code to access the property, and we only received the first two days before arrival, and the latter on the day of arrival. This was stressful for us but eventually I found yet another instruction email on my phone.
Also, the first night we had an early dinner out and settled down to watch England play their match in the World Cup Rugby, only to find we could not get any live TV at all. This continued for five days and then we were able to access live BBC channels only. We find it hard to believe that not even the Freeview channels were available. Somebody needs to sort this out. We lived with it but some people may have been very upset by this.
There was a warning about this in the instruction folder but it is not really good enough. DVDs were available.
I also think Booking.com need to make people aware that the view is of rooftops at the back and lounge, and the street at the front.
The bedrooms were spacious and the bathroom and shower good but the lounge/kitchen/diner was small in comparison and would have been uncomfortable for four people. E.G. only two people could sit facing the TV.

Excellent location. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable. Nice decor.
I have to be honest here. When we arrived and unpacked etc. I switched on the tv to discover I) it was in Russian ii) it only had BBC channels. This obviously meant that I had to change the language in the TV Settings. How do you do this when everything is in Russian? No instruction manual that was of any use. Tried to go online but there was no Internet. I could log onto WiFi but kept on getting message that there was WiFi but no internet. Contacted Steve and he told me what I had to do to get the Internet. Eventually got online and found out ( after a while ) how to change language back to English but I had no idea how to get non BBC channels. Tried an automatic retune but apparently with Freeview this is difficult without Ethernet cable and no way of connecting to Reuter. Anyway, eventually gave up with TV. Did it spoil the break? Not really but it was a nuisance. Hence I cannot give the Apartment top marks on this occasion.

Beautiful apartment furnished with everything we required. Quiet central location in Alnwick right opposite Alnwick Castle. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Comfy bed and very good shower facilities (bath too if you wanted one).
Sadly internet signal was poor at times and this affected our TV viewing a couple of times however the apartment had DVD's available.
There is no on-site parking (except for unloading/packing car} because of the very central location. However there is parking available on roads very close to the apartment so it wasn't a problem.

The colour scheme was lovely. The actual building itself was in a great location. The rooms were clean and tidy and had good facilities. The only thing was the Wi-Fi wasn’t working. Apart from that we had a lovely stay.

Welcome booklet was fantastic and well used during our stay. Superb location.
We liked everything - however as a family of four (with small children). We would have appreciated spare bed sheets (or a washing machine). Similarly, extra consumables e.g toilet roll / bin bags would have made it a 10/10 experience.

Fantastic Location
Everything you need for a mini break
Outside seating areas table &chairs were dirty with bird droppings and dust
The sign on the area said it was under development and we could see that and we were fine with that as you could see the whole building and outside areas had and are still a labour of love……
However the seats and table had not been cleaned for a while and we had to clean them before we could use them.
This wasn’t a problem to us but future guests may not feel the same if wanting to use the area on a hot day.

Lovely bedding, pillows and a very nice mattress. Very colourful, well equipped and very central. A very good shower. Very quiet as it's an a quiet street. Nice cups, tea pot, lovely table and chairs. The host left milk, tea, coffee, and other things one needed for a short stay. Under counter fridge is generous and a box freezer in the storage area. Easy to use induction hob and over. Nice to be able to open the door out to the patio. Key safe inside easyto use. Lovely towels for all. Really nice size bedrooms but no wardrobes nor drawers. Only a mobile Iron/metal rack for clothes. If you're an OAP not easy to bend and live out of suitcase. But it was ok for three days. Free parking called potters gate only two min walk. Parking disc available for £1 at all retail shops and you can park free for 2-3 hours with that too. A great place to stay.
The outside door on the street was very hard to use. Though the code was correct and you turned " clockwise," it still didn't open many times. This stops me from going out early for a walk, afraid I wouldn't be able to get back into the building. It needs changing. It's a small issue. Upstairs toilet seat moves and not adequate. There's no wall units in the kitchen, and all the base units are in use, so there is no storage space at all for food, cereals, tea, etc, except the fridge. We brought lots of food but couldn't store it. It would be nice to have glasses for orange juice, but there are wine glasses and 4 very large other water / beer glasses. We used the "shot" glasses for orange juice. All in all lovely for a short stay Thank you.

Booking was for apartment only.
We arrived in the early evening, being nearly December it was already dark and cold, but there was no heating on in the apartment. The hosts knew our arrival time, so why wasn't the heating on? I found the instruction book, which claimed that the heating came on automatically at 17 degrees, but as all the radiators were set at zero that was never going to happen was it? We had to sit in our coats until the rooms warmed sufficiently. The kitchen radiator stayed cold throughout our visit. The apartment was well furnished, but both the bedrooms windows faced straight out onto the pavement at ground level and there were no privacy blinds, just one blackout one for each window. This meant that unless you really like having an audience the rooms could not have any natural light during the day, which made them gloomy and uninviting to be in. I don't understand why this was never considered during furnishing. As the front door is reached along an open passageway there was a stiff draft under it straight into the lounge, which we mitigated with a folded blanket. Also regarding the bedrooms, being right on a road there was a lot of traffic noise, which of course is not the owners fault, but I ended up sleeping on a mattress in the lounge to get away from it. The mandatory cleaning fee was £60 (included in the overall booking price) which for a two night stay seems pretty toppy. This place is expensive for what is offered and I wouldn't book it again. £347 for two nights in the off peak season isn't particularly cheap, and I expected better.

cosy and comfortable with lots of nice touches
could have used some drawers in the bedrooms and storage for toiletries and food in the bathroom and kitchen.

Absolutely everything. Fabulous location with excellent facilities and so beautifully designed. Would definitely return. Recommend The Dirty Bottles and Adam and Eve for delicious food and ambience and Ruby Tuesday for shopping. Enjoyed our walk from Craster to Dunstaburgh with a drink in the beer garden at the pub in beautiful autumnal weather🎃

The location was central and the apartments were excellent being comfy and clean.
The step from the kitchen to the sitting room needs to be marked as a few of us missed it and tripped down it

Perfect location, very close to town centre but a very quiet street. Comfy beds, we all slept well.
Beautiful apartments that were extremely well equiped. We could not fault anything.

Pretty central location. Very clean. Well presented. Good kitchen & bathroom facilities. Easy parking. Quiet.
Tall dining table & bar stools were impractical.
Location instructions need to be more precise..we spent a long time trying to find it!
It should be mentioned that WiFi isn’t free.
A corkscrew would have been useful.

Beautiful stylish apartment decorated to a high standard. Excellent location and spotlessly clean. Extremely well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Very comfortable bed.
The sofa was a little uncomfortable if sitting for a long time but plenty of cushions. There was nowhere to put soap/shower gel/shampoo in the shower.

The flat is very comfortable and stylish in a very convenient situation. also very clean.
A little bit short of natural light but it is an old building so that can be expected. lots of artificial light

Fabulous place beautifully and exceptionally well decorated and absolutely spotless clean. Everything and much more than we needed for a very comfortable stay everything looks brand new. Found free on street parking easily. 2 mins walk to castle, pubs, shops and lovely restaurants. Great base for us to explore Northumberland. Highly recommended.
Only tiny complaint is maybe needed something extra to cover bedroom windows as it's bottom floor next to curb so we kept curtains fully drawn all the time as you can see into bedrooms from curb at eye level.

Very central to town centre. Apartment was spotless and contained everything that you would need in a visit. Safe entry into apartment block and easy access to flat. Two very minor points. The first was that it was up two flights of stairs which could be a problem for some people. The second point was that you had a walk to park your car long term.
Nothing.

Beautifully decorated, stylish, spacious, well-equipped, central, impeccably clean and full of light.
Would have appreciated a washing machine, otherwise there really wasn’t any issue.

Super location and well appointed and furnished apartment which was spotlessly clean.
Living area furniture was a bit uncomfortable if sitting on it for any period of time.
Shower tray didn't drain very well and quickly filled up with water.

Brilliant location - handy for visitor attractions and local services. Quiet despite being on thoroughfare.
Very well equipped and clean apartment -had everything that was needed.
Very comfortably furnished , beautifully themed and
co-ordinated decor.
Beds very comfortable, bedding and towels supplied were of good quality and spotlessly clean.
Concise information booklet to support stay.
Good and timely communication with owners.
There was nothing not to be liked just a couple of things to be aware of.
The front entrance door lock took a little bit of mastering, but practice made perfect and once familiar with the operation it was plain sailing and not a problem.
The "tricky" being new to the property is locating suitable parking....a bit of research and planning in advance helps and once familiar with the location of the property there are plenty of parking options, but they may involve a short walk. This is not a criticism of the property itself - just something to be aware of.
