Absolutely beautiful accommodation, very well thought out, everything you could possibly need for a minibreak and longer holidays. The property was clean, comfortable, with lots of thoughtful touches, that made our stay exceptional. We loved the place so much, we decided to stay in both nights, rather than go out for food, because it was such a lovely place to relax. We will definitely stay again and will be reccomending to family and friends.

NOT TO BE TRUSTED - PLEASE AVOID! This company cancelled our reservation via Airbnb, then called and offered our booking at a higher price. When my elderly mother wouldn’t agree to re-booking the woman on the phone was rude and very pushy. Please be careful.

Fabulous house, right in the centre of town. Beautifully appointed and the best equipped kitchen we have seen. Easy free parking nearby. Superb location for a holiday. Would definitely book again.

Appalling service as an owner since their acquisition. No bookings, lots of hassle and a complete lack of responses despite their reassurances that nothing would change. Steer clear - they don’t know what they are doing.

Positives: Wonderful holiday home for 4 persons (we were 2 adults, 2 kids (14 & 11), well equiped, all kitchen appliances available, modern interior, very clean, comfi beds, good wifi, secured gates to the holiday homes, nice sundeck adjecent to the living room. We used the house as a starting point to explore the magnificent Yorkshire coast and the inland. So we were mainly in the house in the morning and evening. Hotel/Pub is nearby for having a drink/dinner. Runswick Bay can be walked easily or reached by car. Whitby at 20 minutes by car. Downside: the holiday homes are quite near to each other so there isn't any garden for smaller kids (-10 or so) to play in. In our case that wasn't an issue. All in all we enjoyed the house very much!

The absolute worst company to deal with in case of an issue. We stayed at a property in Whitby maintained by host and stay for a Wedding. On arrival the top shower had a sign on it saying do not use - the age of the sign would suggest this wasn’t a new problem. We needed all bathrooms to get ready for the wedding so immediately this was frustrating. The property looks nice in pictures but is built to a low standard and maintained to an even poorer one. Throughout our stay the plumbing was making all kinds of weird noises and large amounts of dirty water started appearing through the ground floor shower. Damp carpets in various places on arrival also suggested that these plumbing issues aren’t new. On our final day the ground floor bathroom filled up completely with dirty water making it completely inaccessible. We contacted host and stay immediately and have barely been offered an apology. Bad properties, poor maintenance, worse customer service.

Avoid Listing Your Property with Host & Stay! My experience with Host & Stay has been extremely disappointing. They withhold funds from payments, issue guest refunds without consulting property owners, and refuse to cover damages caused by guests. For example, when guests damaged the hot tub lid lifting bar, Host & Stay declined my claim, insisting I should have provided a “before” photo proving the item was undamaged. The guest services team is inefficient, often providing guests with incorrect keypad codes, and frequently contacting me at each check-in due to their own errors. They only record the lead booker’s details, so it’s unclear who else might be staying at the property. Despite claiming to handle all management aspects, they fall short and continue to charge for services they don’t fully provide. I have been trying to resolve outstanding issues with my account since August 2024, and now it’s November 2024. They routinely fail to return calls or follow up as promised. Host & Stay’s poor service and lack of accountability make them unfit to manage others’ properties. They prioritize guests’ claims over owners’ input, issuing refunds without consultation or consideration for the owner’s perspective. Do not trust Host & Stay with your property investment!

Booked for our 20th anniversary, arrived to find the entrance hall had a rancid smell, probably the drains. Got to our apartment and it had no heating (November booking), not great when my wife has reynards. Host and stay were useless despite lots of calls so it was a cold night for us. Finally got it sorted the next day but I had to chase them again. I go away a lot in the uk but I'll avoid a host and stay next time i book.

Whitby - Turnstones apt The apartment was immaculate, great location, close to the centre (5 min walk), just across the road from a gorgeous park filled with little squirrels! The beds were extremely comfortable. Having a secure carpark beneath the building was great, as once we parked, we didn't move the car again until departure. Everything about our stay was fantastic! Would 100% recommend!

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY Worst customer service and after sales The cleanliness of Breckon Cottage in Whitby was well below standard. The whole apartment had not been vacuumed before our arrival, we had to do this ourselves before we could unpack. Totally unacceptable. Cheese grater in cupboard had cheese on it. Kitchen chairs full of crumbs, dirty glass on bedside cabinet, cobwebs, dirty bathroom cabinet. AVOID THIS COTTAGE AND THIS COMPANY

FLEET STREET APARTMENTS Very damp and mouldy property we were in the apartment which was the basement had no windows with no phone signal and WiFi was terrible. Toilet doors didn't close or lock, one of the single beds were broken, not enough pillows provided, sofa was broken and the apartment was overall disgusting but the location was amazing!

A great place a two minute walk into town very clean and tidy, only 4 stars because of an issue with the electric tripping out once which took a number of hours to resolve. But would highly recomend
