We stayed as a party of 13 at Bay view house. It was, by far, our favourite accommodation in 10 years of our group trips. The house was spacious, the communal areas were comfortable, sociable and well equipped. The rooms were all beautiful, spotlessly clean, with ample storage, comfortable beds and luxurious bedding. We knew the stay would be scenic and special from the photos, however, these did not do it justice. The view is breathtaking, sunrise was magical and everyone has asked to come back. Host & Stay as agents were communicative, friendly and proactive. When emailing I always received responses very quickly and from a genuine member of the team, rather than a ‘copy & paste’ answer. The digital welcome pack was a lovely touch.

Really lovely apartment, huge kitchen with everything you need, big living room with tv but still cosy enough, perfect location to shops, restaurants and bars. I had a lovely time there and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Beautiful flat in a great location. Spotlessly clean, kitchen filled with everything you need including a dishwasher! Beds were so comfy, best nights sleep I've had for ages! There is a really useful guide on how to use everything in the flat, plus info on pubs, eateries & places to see. Although it is dog friendly we ended up not taking ours but he's definately coming next year as we've already booked. Only slight gripe is 2 sets of keys would have been better than just the one.

We loved this spot in York. the apartment was clean, spacious and the kitchen well stocked with everything you might need to cook your own meals. We prefer to have breakfast at home, so that was wonderful. An easy walk to downtown, it was quiet in the apartment and the beds were firm enough for us. Most importantly I had to call support staff because I left something valuable in the apartment when I left. They couldn't have been more helpful or accessible. I felt heard and cared for. Thank you Host and Stay. A really great job on helping my vacation dreams come true.

Spent a lovely weekend at The Alby. The location is perfect, an easy walking distance into the centre of Whitby. The house is spacious with an open plan kitchen, dining, living area downstairs. This made it very easy with the age range being from toddler upwards. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and equipment to make self catering easy. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable and the location quiet. Would highly recommend.

The communication if you have any issues is non-existent, I am still waiting to hear back from them weeks after our stay! The property we stayed in was Harbour Cottage in Staithes, it was dangerous and disgustingly dirty, Host and Stay have no interest at all, yet they were practically pestering us to complete the forms when we booked, pestering to make sure we got out by 10am, the cleaner was sat outside by 9.20am!! Pestering for reviews, I was going to give them chance to respond to my complaint before slating them, but no response, so people need to know what they are like as a Host company!! AVOID!!!

Nice place however madness advertising the heating is in the living room took over 2 hours to find it it is on 2 levels upstairs spoilt our first night stay paying over £300 to stay on a 2 night break and got constant text saying it is in the living room not good enough and I won’t put the pictures of the bath as it was very very dirty not great when took 3 hours drive having to clean when arrived

Excellent quiet location and convenient for access to Bamburgh, Seahouses and Beadnell. Particularly good for cycling with plenty of quiet road options and lots of cafes within easy reach. Cottage itself was well equipped and spotlessly clean, and with allocated parking space. Very good sized bedroom in the cottage we were in (Daisy). Would recommend.

THIS PROPERTY IS UNSAFE, DOES NOT MEET SAFETY STANDARDS AND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES OR PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES DESPITE WHAT IT SAYS ON OTHER SITES. Where do i start, if I could have given zero stars I would have but then that would have been mean too as there were 2 tiny glimmers of good in my story which earns them a star each. Or there were, see update. So to begin, if you are thinking of booking this property you need to be aware of all the facts, something I wasn't. If I had had all the information I would NEVER have booked it. ALL the photos on the listing were of the ground floor flat, it looked really nice and although we had reservations about being too cheap there must be a catch I still booked it for the 3 of us, hubby, myself and grown up daughter. Both daughter and I have mobility issues, this has a massive bearing on my tale. All the way along the communication with the company had been excellent and when our daughter could not come I messaged them to say we would be two now and no need to make up the other bed. Tuesday we arrived at the property absolutely exhausted to find the place, there was no on site parking despite the listing saying there was but we managed to park directly outside. The door into the apartment looked flimsy and the handle was hanging on by a wing and a prayer. We were expecting stairs up to the first floor, I took my time on them and there was a hand rail but at the top I was confronted with another set in one direction and another on the half landing going up the other way. Positive number 2 is that allthough it was really shabby, lots of paint chips and mismatched skirting etc, it was clean so big up the cleaning team. The bedrooms were up one set of stairs with what is laughably the tiniest lounge area, 3 of us would have struggled in there. The kitchen and bathroom were up the other set of stairs off the half landing, these were steep with no hand rail or grab handle. The bathroom was cluttered and really shabby but again clean. We did not have a rubber bathmat or any kind of towel rail. We checked in the yard out back to see a tree growing through the garage door hence no on site parking, I'm also unsure how we would get out of the yard in the event of a fire if we used the emergency exit stairs. We only decided to stay the night because it was clean but the people in the flat downstairs were so noisy and after minimal sleep and multiple toilet trips which became an expedition in the night for me, I did not feel I could stay. I did not feel safe in here. The final straw was the lack of hot water in the shower. We stayed the summer total of 16 hours here. At 9am I rung the office to say we would not be staying, I'd already started packing up items at 4am determined as I was! I spoke to a gentleman and at no time was i rude, I explained all my issues and the issues with the listing, the lack of transparency etc. He said we could not get a refund or even our damage waiver back i was angry at this as we should get this back, we had damaged nothing. I have since emailed the company and they are looking into it for us. Please do not be fooled by nice photos as we were, I've had my fingers burnt big time. UPDATE We are now 3 weeks down since we left this property we are being told 10 working days for an investigation, its beyond that. It's not hard to refund my money AND refund my damage waiver. Communication has taken them down a star.

Good location for what we needed, doors are very noisy could hear every time someone left or came in 😞, there was a nail showing through the kitchen floor so need to make sure you have footwear on, and I needed to wipe the bathroom sink as had some debris on it, apart from that the flat was perfect for what we needed for 2 days, well equipped and I needed the WiFi code which I emailed after the office was closed and got a reply straight away.

Wonderful property! Ideal area! Our family stayed in Admirals View & Captains View for a weekend. Great amenities inside, everything you could need and beautifully kept furnishings. We really enjoyed our stay here. Great communication from the owners & plenty of places to park nearby. Our party ranged from 18- 85 years of age so brill for everyone. And the views… amazing ☀️

This is a great house. Very tidy and up together. Full of everything you need for your stay although we only used two mugs, two side plates, the kettle and toaster!! Used as a base for a four day motorcycle trip around Northumberland. Corbridge is a great location with all the convenience shops you need and plenty of pubs to spend your evening in. House is a short walk 2 minute walk from the village centre. Would definitely go back

It was a fantastic apartment. Much better than I was expecting with a fantastic view over the harbour too. It was in a quiet location and a short easy walk to the centre. It was really clean uncomfortable. We will definitely be booking again!

Excellent modern clean flat, great location 10 minute walk into York. Nice quiet neighborhood. Would come back. Only downside- Parking very expensive!
