Pros. Nice and clean and in a great location. Cons. Entrance hall way needs a bit of attention If you struggle with stairs this is not for you as the "cottage " is set over 3 storeys

Stayed at Cattersty Hideaway in Saltburn. I think the instructions for retrieving the door key and location of door could have been clearer. I.e it stated top key box as there were two but didn't say apartment was situated on third floor. Unfortunately the entrance hallway and stairs to apartment let it down as not welcoming and quite eiree. There is a security light which constantly clicks off and on (again left me feeling on edge). The apartment itself is well-equipped. Fridge had 1 pint of milk for arrival and plenty of coffee, tea and cupboards full of all cutlery, plates, cleaning materials. Bathroom nicely tiled with little toiletries for guest use. Bedroom has a bed which I actually think does look out of place as quite large for the room. Living is nicely decorated however the small leather two seater sofa does not allow the guests to easily relax and Unfortunately the room is so huge with high ceilings that it really doesn't feel cosy. Honestly my husband and I didn't stay for the entire duration we'd booked as I just didn't feel comfortable staying there but that is 100% my own opinion.

We had a lovely time during our stay at an amazing property in Berwick-Upon-Tweed. The booking, arrival, and departure process was clear and very easy. The company provided a detailed and easy-to-use welcome packet that included everything we needed to know before our arrival and during our stay. The property itself was gorgeous, clean, and more than advertised. We loved the quirky details and wonderful location. We definitely would book using this company again and one of our party is already planning a return trip in the fall. Highlight recommend!

We stayed at The Courtyard in Berwick with Host & Stay for a few days in July. Lovely 3 bed apartment spacious and well decorated. Nice comfy beds. Location great so close to town centre would recommend.

Great location. Lovely apartment. Minor problem with late access to apartment but quickly resolved by Host & Stay. The apartment is “high tech” so would have been made easier to navigate if there had been some guidance on how to operate the electronics.

Stayed at South Cliff Apartment, Scarborough, nice quite location within easy walking distance to centre of Scarborough. Parked right outside property with parking permit included. Apartment was spotless, with modern appliances and tea, coffee, sugar and milk for us on arrival . Bed and pillows super comfy. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic flat to be rented out for the beach front, We stayed in Othala and it felt like our own little home away from home, would recommend to anyone who plans to visit Scarborough. Will be booking again.

Well situated apartment in Saltburn, close proximity to beach and town centre for restaurants, cafes and shops. Very clean and everything you needed. The thing that let it down was the mattress. Far too soft and springy, meaning that one of us constantly disturbed the other when trying to sleep. 2 nights was enough. Therefore we've had to reduce our rating, which would otherwise have been higher.

Stayed at The Beach House, Marske by the Sea, this place gets a massive 5 stars from us, the house was so amazing & so clean you would have thought it was brand new, it has every home comfort you could possibly need. Our little French Bulldog absolutely loves being on the sand & in the sea & the Beach House is a 1 minute walk for the beach. This was our 3rd stay in Marske by the Sea & our 2nd using Host & Stay, we have already booked to spend Christmas in this wonderful town. We have booked through Host & Stay again knowing we will have a wonderful stress free break.

Stayed at The Penthouse, Whitby in June 2022. Looked lovely but found the furniture to be of poor quality and not that comfortable. 2 of the 3 beds had broken and missing slats, mattresses were poor quality soft so much so we both ended our 4 nights stay with back ache! toilet brush and holder was disgusting we went out and bought our own as no way did I want to touch that!, crumbs on every dining chair, oven in need of a deep clean, washing machine rim covered in some sort of black powder. Host and Stay need to be checking their properties and keeping an eye on their cleaners! We sent pictures of all of this so hope that it will be put right before the next guests ( we declined the damage waiver insurance when we got to the end of the verification process as we felt £35 was a bit of a rip off so we did an inspection when we arrived so we didn't get charged hence the pictures) Parking was a bonus, but could be tricky to pull out of because of the busy road. It was about a 10 mins walk into town and we had no problem walking back up the hill. There isn't much sound proofing despite being fairly new so hope you don't get party types in any of the 2 apartments below. The road outside is too noisey for having the french doors open to help keep the rooms cool. Back bedroom is quiet though. Nice to have a new pint of milk left in fridge but not keen on half used tea/coffee jars as I don't think this is hygenic. Bedding was clean. Sorry but we wouldn't stay here again.

I stayed at Pier View, really lovely apartment, very close to the sea front. I didn't take my dog but noticed dog hairs on the floor & odd ones floating around. On vacating checked under the bed in case we had left anything, but there was built up dust and some rubbish. I thought the appts were cleaned due to 10am vacate time, or do they only change the beds and towels :(.

We had a great stay in Amberleigh House. The cottage was clean and very well located for exploring across Yorkshire. We loved the hot tub. The cottage had the perfect layout for us - with two bedrooms in the main house and two in the annex, meaning Nanny and Grandad had their own space from the grandchildren!

We have just stayed in host and stay accomadation at saltburn by the sea. Salty Bay apartment. The apartment was beautiful comfy ,spacious and impeccably clean. The host and stay staff were so helpful nothing was to much trouble for them and the booking was so straight forward. I would definitely recommend this company. We shall definitely be using them again and again. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

We stayed at Huntcliff View in Saltburn by the Sea- a beautiful apartment with everything we needed. Saltburn is a fantastic place and despite freezing weather we were able to enjoy the coastal walks and the lovely independent restaurants, cafes and bars in Saltburn. An exceptional few days . Many thanks to Host and Stay who were super helpful

At a fantastic long weekend staying at Easter Cottage nr. Whitby. The house had everything you need including a huge TV. The staff at Host and Stay were in contact throughout ensuring that we wanted for nothing. We were only a gentle 20 minute stroll from the heart of Whitby. I would recommend this venue and also Host and Stay for their 5 star service.
