The place is beautiful, up to date and well equipped. Any queries we had they answered quickly.
Loved the little touches in the bathrooms such as the shower gel, soap and shampoo.
It was clean house and tidy place. Some more attention to detail on cutlery, cups etc (the dishwasher doesn't always clean everything fully)
The hidden wardrobes were a fantastic use of space. A few more hangers would have benefit.
Loved the little table next to the double chair, would love to know where you got it?
Extra blankets were a fabulous touch for the colder months.
The heating was a little complicated would love to have been able to control it a little more as it was fairly cool one evening. (Positive though as it was modern and different)
Coffee, sugar and tea sachets were lovely little welcome after a long day of travel. Although we did bring our own just in case.
Apart from a few bits mentioned was a lovely stay and would love to return.
The surprise £25 for Insurance! Please add this to your information before people book.
Normally you would pay a small amount to cover damages etc. But no in this case you either paid I think was £150 to be returned if no damages occurred. Or £25 nonrefundable!
So not only we paid quite a lot of money for a 3 night stay but we had to pay more on top. I think it was unnecessary and unexpected.
1 tea towel provided which wasn't very good if we had known we would have brought our own, washing up liquid wasn't very good either (i know there was a dish washer but they dont clean very well), which may explain why the cutlery wasn't very clean (we washed them again).
The bedroom TVs are quite small for the rooms perhaps a little larger perhaps?

Great base for exploring Seahouses and beyond. Lots of nice beaches and country pubs. We liked the fact there are 3 big bedrooms as we were friends meeting up. The layout was great and the house lovely and clean & warm.
I liked the key in the box check in although only got the code on the day of travel rather than the night before.
You will be given an online link to their website brochure when you book which details everything, including instructions for checkout which I didn't realise until later (such as turning the heating down before we left).
The house is an end terrace with parking for 2 cars. Very quiet and slept like a log.

We had a great stay at Sunflower cotage. It’s beautiful - the photos don’t do it justice! It’s spacious and modern and the location is perfect (only a few mins walk into the centre of Seahouses).
We had some trouble figuring out the air source heating controls (some more detailed instructions would have been useful). And we were disappointed the RV car charger didn’t work as it was a feature listed in the accomodation details at the time of booking.

Spacious, well appointed and decorated, well equipped. Moments walk from the Main Street and the Co-op.
Dishwasher not working (dishwasher tablet left for use - not sure why). Otherwise was great!

keys were in the key safe as arranged. The spare key (inside the property) didnt fit the door lock, so we only had one key.
On the first morning, we didnt have any hot water, after 40 minutes trying to get this going we rang a number through Booking.com, this was sorted out within hours, despite this I received 3 emails from Host and Stay saying this would be dealt with (after being sorted), the last email was on the evening before we left, very poor communications at Host and Stay.. The dishwasher didnt work, after 2 hours in total trying to get it to work, we let Host and Stay know and were told someone would come, would we leave a key in the keysafe, we did. No one came in the 5 days we were staying. Reading the reviews the dishwasher didnt work in May, July or September, this is October and it didnt work. The property lacked basic things, tea pot, milk jug, a toast rack, there was only one hand towel upstairs for 4 people, bare minimum toilet rolls, etc etc with a little more thought basics could be improved. We are still looking for the hairdryer - is there one? We were also surprised to be asked for a "waiver" fee before being given the key safe code to enter the property, this was after we had paid in full and within days of our arrival, this was unacceptable and would have been better included into the rental charge at the outset then we would have known the total cost.

Our stay was to celebrate my husband’s 60th with our 2 adult children and their partners. Everything was good except that some of the glasses, crockery and cutlery were quite greasy and had to be washed up before use. Also, the dishwasher did not work at all and we had a series of error messages so we’re unable to use it. The worst thing though was that after the 1st night, there was no hot water. We had to boil kettles of water to be able to wash up and we all had to use the downstairs shower to be able to get hot water which was time consuming. We reported this to the contact number but the operative was very unhelpful so the call was ended with no constructive help at all.
The property itself was really lovely. It is nicely situated and we love the area.
I left something behind in the wardrobe which I reported to the contact number and via email and I’m delighted to say that the response to this was very good and I have received the item in the post today. Thank you for this

Very modern clean spacious and everything you needed for a lovely stay … very central to town centre and amenities…. Bedrooms were very roomy plenty bedding and pillows…. kitchen is well stocked with utensils
The mattresses on all the beds really need looked at … a good nights sleep goes a long way to a happy stay
The dishwasher wasn’t working which was a biggy bug bear for us as a family as none of us likes to wash dishes as we like to cook and eat in
I also find the waiver should be included into the initial cost not sent out 10 days b4 you are due to go on holiday it really upset me that we paid a £25 waiver to cover breakages and the main things we needed weren’t working !!!!

The property management company, Host & Stay, is deeply dishonest with their practice. At the time of writing, under the "important info" section in the accommodation, the "damage waiver" is described as "fully refundable". It's only in the rarely-read long description of the property that a obscure mention of "subject to an administration charge" which is in contradiction to a much more prominent "fully refundable" mention in "important info". This is an absolutely reportable act of mislead, and despite my complaint to them over chat, one week later this misleading statement remains unchanged, and they refused to refund us the 10 pound "admin fee". This damage waiver is also not a standard practice in most places that we travelled to.
While we were travelling we neglected to submit the damage waiver payment and only realised that we had to pay it near the end. By the time we paid it, it was 4pm local time. We never got the key safe information even when we arrived. We arrived at the property around 5.30pm, and the key safe information never came through. We did not have any working phone (only had internet data) and the only contact was an after-hours generic contact centre. I had to borrow a phone from a local grocery store's worker, was left "on hold" for a good five minutes; fortunately it was eventually answered and I was given the key safe over the phone. I am deeply unhappy that this "damage waiver" was a ransom to accessing the accommodation that we had already paid non-refundable fee for; and when we neglected to pay it during our busy travel, we almost had to fear for being locked out in gloomy cold country UK. Absolutely horrifying and deeply disappointing practice.
The rest of the house was ok but we were left with very, very sour note on the last leg of our travel.

Nothing of note.

It was a beautiful house. Very tastefully decorated. The location was great, very near the shops and not far from the harbour
The double bed upstairs was not very comfortable, it could do with a mattress topper.
The shower upstairs produced very lukewarm water. We only had one hot shower at the beginning of the week and after that the water never seemed hot

We stayed at Sunflower Cottage for a 5 day break with my wife, two kids and our dog. A great location with minutes walk to Seahouses harbour. A very modern, well equipped and extremely clean cottage. The secure, fenced garden was great to allow our kids and dog to play safely. Loved exploring the local area with lots of scenic walks and drives. Our dog particularly loved our regular daily walks along the coastal path through Seahouses golf course which has public right of way access. Would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, homely base for a visit to Northumberland. Only minor criticism was that the dishwasher was not working and we weren't informed until we reported it. Also a local neighbour decided to burn waste in their back garden which faced onto the cottage meaning we couldn't use the garden & the cottage smelled of smoke. Hopefully this will be reported by Host & Stay to the local authority to avoid any future inconvenience to future guests.

The property has potential to be a great holiday home but let down by the poor communication from the management company and cleanliness
I specifically asked prior to going if bedding was provided for the cot and was told it definitely would be so when we arrived and there was none it caused a big issue (my 6 month old baby either had to sleep in bed with me or on a plastic mattress) both of which are very unsafe.
Called and messaged the company who sent a message back at 1am advising a fitted sheet would be dropped off the next day. 2 young ladies turned up with full size bedding having no idea they were meant to be bringing cot bedding or that there was a problem and told us they couldn’t provide one due to their own safety regulations so had to go buy our own
The house didn’t seemed to have been cleaned recently either and had holes and stains on bedding. Sent complaint and photos to company and still awaiting a response. Wouldn’t reccomend

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sun Flower Cottage and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and excellent hospitality. The house itself is beautifully maintained, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail in the decor made it feel cozy and inviting.
The location is perfect—secluded enough to offer peace and tranquility, yet close enough to local attractions and amenities. We especially enjoyed having the use of the lovely large garden for our fairy friends
The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals, and the living spaces were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
The hosts were responsive and helpful throughout our stay.
Overall, Sun Flower Cottage exceeded our expect. We will definitely be returning!!

location was brilliant. clean and nicely decorated good parking
The dishwasher wasn’t working and nobody came to sort it out. we were a group of 5 so lots of washing up! the loo seat in the upstairs bathroom was insecure and moved every time you sat on it! the road was hard to find it needed a sign at the end. lack of mirrors upstairs and the mirror in the downstairs bedroom was too low if you were standing and too high if you were sitting. the downstairs shower ran too hot then cold and was impossible to keep stable.

Good size accommodation is well equipped .
The bed in the downstairs bedroom was the most uncomfortable bed I have slept in the mattress was so thin, and you could feel the springs it didn't feel like a double bed , seemed smaller. I am not the first person to comment on the mattress .
First accommodation we have stayed in with no welcome pack, no milk, bread , biscuits .

Very clean and well presented. Tastefully furnished. Well stocked crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Great location and parking.
The mattresses on the beds aren’t comfortable and when we go away we like a comfy bed. Had to put a spare duvet under sheet to pad out due to springs being felt. This would put us off booking the cottage again unfortunately. Also the downstairs bedroom needs blackout blinds or curtains.

Fabulous location. Modern spacious house/cottage. Had everything you'd need (except USB ports for phone charging). Host and Stay (Agent) very professional and quick to respond to queries. So good having keybox for contactless check in.
Having to pay a $30 admin fee for the security deposit. So instead I chose to pay $50 to not have a deposit at all.
Accommodation was quite expensive too but that could be a regional thing. Beds were not that comfy - we could feel the springs in the mattresses. A tumble dryer would be a useful addition to the amenities.

The property was in a good location for all the popular sites. It had a well stocked kitchen of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Had a dishwasher and 2 bathrooms. Private parking and local food shops, crazy golf and petrol station. Quiet area, but it is overlooked at all sides of the property Customer services responded quickly by phone and email
The beds were so uncomfortable. Bring or use one of their duvets to make a topper as the sprung mattress is not sprung anymore
We had no hot water for 2.5 days, which the agency knew about but didn’t tell us, but hoped the temporary fix would last. A valve needed replacing, but got it in the end
The power shower is tired and just is not up to the task. It’s either scolding hot or freezing cold. Very temperamental
The pillows, too fat or too thin, bring your own. They also have no pillow protector on them
The blinds are not great. Don’t really provide heat or block out the sun. Either use day or night blinds. Or just curtains

Modern, spacious and well - equipped end of terrace, with large kitchen diner & separate laundry room. Three big bedrooms: one downstairs with bathroom & two sharing bathroom upstairs. Lawned garden to side & rear. Row of recently built cottages is set back from main road, so very quiet, but easily walkable into Seahouses & close to all amenities.
Although electric car charging point is listed on facilities & included in cost this was not working during our stay and office staff, whilst friendly, were unable to help or liaise adequately with owner. Frequent emails inviting contact with management company are no substitute for actually resolving problems quickly.

Lovely fresh and well decorated cottage .
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit .
The downstairs shower fluctuated between cold and very hot at one point . Although next person found it ok .
Perhaps if someone else is running a tap or using water elsewhere it affects the water temperature?
Just to let you be aware of this as the water was extremely hot at times !

Lovely base just off one of the main streets. As others have said, initially difficult to find, as the approach to the house is down a driveway, not a street.
However, the house was very clean, and has a nice open plan layout.
We did have some problems with a few things - the dishwasher didn't work and the microwave was missing the glass plate, but Host and Stay were very easy to contact and helpful. The dishwasher was repaired the next day and a replacement glass microwave plate provided as well as some extra tea-towels for us to use.
I would recommend this house.

Very well furnished house, well equipped kitchen and great location about a 7 min stroll into the centre of Seahouses with a good selection of Pubs and eateries and a coop just around the corner.

An amazing house, it was so clean and well equiped with kitchen utensils. The underfloor heating was excellent, the house was very warm. There was no noise from the neighbouring property. It was very close to the town and the beach, a perfect position. Television great as Netflix etc available. I would definitely stay here again.
My criticism is purely personal but the beds are not comfortable. I know that you do take notice of the comments as there are now "oven gloves" in the house, which the house did lack apparently. I took extra t towels and my hairdryer as I had read the previous comments and realised that these were not available. Tea, coffee and sugar available but no milk or condiments. Fortunately the Coop is round the corner.

looked good on arrival, layout and decor were great quality. Everything we needed was available which was very much appreciated and the linens, sanitary ware and utensils in the kitchen were all good quality. The outside garden was perfect for our granddaughters to run around in and play

This is a really lovely little cottage, it's a new build and everything feels very fresh. Location is great (but the directions to find it are absolutely useless, so ask for more decent information than they send you!!), it’s spacious and the bedrooms are all a good size; the garden is huge. It’s a good base for exploring.

Fabulous holiday cottage, wonderful facilities everything we needed. Beautifully clean.
Great location, plenty of parking for i would say 3 cars if you were carefull.
Close to all local eateries. Co op.just round corner for anything you needed, very well stocked.
Brilliant stay
In my opinion the mattresses werent great, all of us had poor nights sleep, so didnt get off to a good start in the morning.
It really spoilt what was a fantastic stay.
Just memory foam mattress toppers would solve the situation.
We were all tired due to this.

The space was great. Plenty of room and the kitchen and dining space was great, it's decor was lovely. And having access to the garden and back door was really useful..
Kitchen supplies were lacking some. There was only one tea towel and no sponge for washing up. We also found the lack of condiments a little annoying.
The pillows in the downstairs bedroom were very firm and thick and the mattress wasn't terribly comfortable.

Plenty of space, easy reach of town and beach. Lovely property tastefully decorated.
Heating wasn’t set correctly this meant we weren’t warm enough.

clean and new, well equipped with good quality furnishings, located a short walk from town. The house is located on a new street and the (Hidden by Airbnb) drop pin we received did not work and so we spent some time locating the house.

What a great place! We stayed with our teenage children and their 2 friends - we all loved the cottage and had an amazing holiday - I’d definitely recommend it!
