Gorgeous house, immaculately clean! Amazing location, a few minutes walk to the sea. Bedrooms exactly as described and huge, spacious and bright. Lovely pub a stone’s throw away, the Black Swan - highly recommend! Easy check in and check out.
Slightly annoyed the hall light didn’t work during our entire 3 night stay, no one came to fix it when I reported it on arrival. The dining room light wasn’t working either, which wasn’t ideal at mealtimes in the evening. A couple of new bulbs would have fixed this issue. Salt in the salt grinder would have been a nice touch, and some kitchen roll/cooking oil wouldn’t have gone amiss either! Small things would have made our stay 5/5 rather than 4/5.
Overall, we would return.

Amazing property in a great location! I don't think the photos do it justice. Very spacious, clean and tidy. Lovely bathroom and comfy beds.
Other reviews had mentioned about the bedrooms being quite light, this is true as there aren't any curtains, just window blinds/shutters. Personally it didn't bother me, but I can see how it might others.
A few extras in the kitchen would be helpful (tea towels, extra dishwasher tablets, welcome pack with some milk etc.). We'd read this in the reviews and just bought our own.

Great stay, the place was amazing and great access to the village
Just one thing, I felt annoyed with the number of messages we got from the host, when we usually book through air bnb we don’t get the commercial communications which we did with this.

It was clean and tidy on arrival and the description was accurate, but there was only one toilet roll in each toilet and only one towel per person. There were no toiletries in the bathrooms and no care package in the kitchen. Disappointing compared to other places I have stayed.

Few areas for environment we have stayed in lots of similar accommodation up and dow the uk there was no welcome back ie milk, biscuits, wine or bread unlike most places.Despite paying £800 for the weeknd there was only 2 toilet rolls, no kitchen towel or condiments which meant we had to purchase these . I get that its a business but the small touches make a big difference and talking to neighbours they had received a small welcome pack from their accommodation
There was no lock on the batbroom as it was broken and the cleaners had left a used mop in the kirchen which was not ideal. Parking at times was little difficult as neighbours asked us to move the car and then another neighbour then asked us to move as it was then blocking them in
Overall a fab house in a great accommodation we really enjoyed seahouses as a base for exploring the coast. We would return back to the house definitely and would hope that the small issues could be addressed.

Everything. The kitchen was well stocked. The decor is amazing, with so much attention to detail, that every angle or nook is stunning. The beds were super comfy, linen had a lux feel and the towels were bouncy and snuggly. The master bedroom ensuite is a fantastic use of space. And not a whiff of damp or suggestion of mold in the whole house. I wish every holiday rental was like this!
The parking is a bit awkward. But I can't fault anything else, except that maybe the cleaning staff could move the bins out of the line of sigh from the living room

Property was excellent, clean, had everything we needed and location was great.
Taylor Street is a narrow gravel road with cottages on both sides. There is not enough space for all the vehicles to park.
A tiny space was left for our large hire car so we had to take someone else's space, felt bad. None of the nearby streets had parking either.
The garden is FULL of weeds. If I had stayed an extra day I would love to be able to tidy it up.

Amazingly well furnished and decorated. great location. Very spacious and garden lovely. Parking was an issue for 2 days and blinds in all the bedrooms did not block light so we all woke early but I'd definitely stay again and I thinkniys great value for money.

+ great location near the sea front
+ local pub is very close
+house is spacious and neatly decorated
+ parking outside - albeit a bit tricky
- lots of rain during stay which came through windows quite considerably
- checkout is earlier than necessary

Loved the location and the sensitive modernisation of an old property. Lovely and clean.
The stairs were narrow and twisted and for an oldy like me carpet would have helped. Impressive table in middle of lounge but too far from seating to be useful. Kitchen lacked a few items to help clean such as a sink brush.
Car parking at front of property was difficult. Would it be possible to make parking available in back yard?
Back yard could do with comfy chairs.

Nice house with everything you need
Issues prior to travel in relation to non-refundable damage waivers - notice this was raised by a previous traveller but had not been resolved when we booked - information from booking.com differs to that from host and stay - coupled with multiple messages about check out and additional charges on day prior to leaving - ok we get it, it’s a business but it’s also our holiday 🙄

Great house in great location for exploring Northumberland.
The communication/ listing was a bit confusing, it looked like from the photos there was only one property, but there was actually two next door each other - it wasn’t made clear which one was actually being booked. Small thing but the heating wasn’t on a timer so was very cold in evening and early morning.

Beautiful house, perfectly located for us. Beds were extremely comfy.
Minor things, which make it 9/10 instead of 10/10 - only one dishwasher tablet was left (but 3 washing machine tablets!), no hand soap or hand towels in the downstairs loo or kitchen, empty salt, check out is 10am to leave the key in a lock box on a Sunday. The cleaning fee seems expensive for a two night stay, and the additional charge for accidental breakage/ insurance is not clear prior to booking (only once booked)

The stay in this property was lovely, as is Seahouses as a destination - however, I deeply resent the fact that I was forced to pay an additional payment - the 'protection policy for a payment of £25' - that was not mentioned in the apparently 'final' pricing of the booking I initially made. It seemed that I could not avoid this payment, but it really should have been flagged and included in the initial price, before I paid the first payment. To me this is a dishonest business practice designed purely to extract extra income out of us the customer, and I would not book again at this, or any other 'Host and Stay' managed property ever again.

The house itself was nicely decorated, spacious and had everything we needed.
Unfortunately, we had no hot water and no heating for the whole of our stay. Host and Stay were slow to respond to our requests for help and hard to get hold of. In fact, the communication from the agency was appalling. We spent most of our stay trying to fix the problem ourselves, watching YouTube videos to learn about oil heating and thermostats rather than relaxing. We were freezing the whole time. Spent all evening rugged up in our coats and scarves. It was not a relaxing stay and we were most frustrated at the lack of communication from Host and Stay. It took them 2 and a half hours to respond to tell me that they were even trying to contact an electrician. This left us hanging thinking they were doing nothing, which they may as well have been. It was most disappointing and not how we had planned to spend our evening in Seahouses.

We arrived after dark to a cold house with both the heating and hot water switched off. The instructions given are inaccurate and need changing and we were unable to get it working. We were without heating and hot water for 24hrs which is a large chunk of the 3 nights we were staying. Most of one day was spent chasing the management company to get someone to come and look. Other items need attention: several lights and lamps don't work and the bathroom lock is broken. However, the house is as described in other reviews, modern, clean, has comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. If it wasn't for the boiler issue we would be giving a more positive review.

Really great stay, and would recommend. A couple of things to bear in mind when staying here though…
The parking really is limited. We managed to park outside the house for all three nights of our stay; but on the second night our evening was disturbed twice by neighbours knocking on the door late into the evening and asking if we could move our car (we were in the ‘designated’ space both times).
The kitchen is a great space to cook if you’re self-catering, but it’s not got loads of equipment.
There’s a small hidden additional cost to the booking in the form of damage insurance.
All in all, the house is surprisingly spacious, well kept, and very comfortable. We’d 100% return.

Fantastic stay. Lovely house and great location. Parking space outside the house, very narrow street but you accept that given that parking is always hard to find in Seahouses! Would definitely stay again! Gorgeous decor inside and lovely big rooms! Key box and check in so easy.
Could probably do with an 11am check out just so it’s not a rush checking out but other than that I could not fault anything.
Thank you for a lovely stay!

Cheviot house is a beautiful house which was spotlessly clean. Parking can be quite tricky and if families have more than one vehicle public car parks are a must.
Comfy beds, clean and high quality furniture and amenities.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

A fabulous stay at Cheviot House. It is a lovely old house that looks to have been renovated fairly recently. The kitchen and bathroom have been finished to a high spec and the furniture and beds all looked new and good quality. The kitchen was very well appointed and it was lovely to have good quality crockery and cutlery. The rooms are exceptionally spacious.
We got parked outside but road is tight - advise you reverse up street.
A couple of small suggestions for improvement:
- supplying more than one key would be handy.
- there needs to be curtains in bedrooms as the wooden blinds didn’t block out nearly enough light.
- the garden furniture needs to be replaced. The glass is missing from the top of the table making it unusable. Nice garden for sitting though.
We’ll be back!
Would highly recommend coffee shop One Coffee 1 on King St. Amazing range of cakes and great service. Rosemary’s is to be avoided - cold coffee, poor service and no customer toilet (not sure that’s legal).

The accomodation was good and suited our needs. Well equiped and clean.
Parking in the street was very difficult. What I really objected was the number of emails I got with the booking and the fact we were charged £10 for placing a £250 deposit for 2 days use. If I had known that I would not have booked as I have NEVER been charged a commision on my deposit anywhere in the world. My husband and I have travelled wordwide in the 53 years we have been married, never had a problem with our deposits and never had a charge like this. I will not use Host and Stay again as they said they could not wave this charge.

We loved it!
Spacious, modern and clean property in a great location. Both bedrooms having en-suites which was perfect for us as 2 couples staying. Smart Tv, Wi-Fi. Nespresso coffee machine, hair dryers. Large comfy sofa. Not far from local attractions that we wanted to visit.
As mentioned before, Parking could be an issue as the property is on a narrow street with limited parking, however, thankfully we managed to park with no problem at all.
2nd bedroom missing TV remote.
Hand towel in downstairs toilet would be good.
But these are just small very minor issues.

Property was well equipped with everything you need for a family. The washing machine was a blessing as we had children with us. We prepared a meal here one night and had everything we needed. The facility was very clean and there was Netflix for the kids.
The only issue was parking. The street was very cramped and everyone on the street had to work together so there was enough parking for all.

The property was bright, light and spacious. A bit like Doctor Who’s tardis Great location, close to the harbour and local facilities. Excellent bathrooms. Well stocked kitchen.
Parking was a little tricky. But we managed. There is a car park not too far away, which seemed reasonably priced.
Julie

The size of the property was good lovely rooms with high ceilings and tastefully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. The property was in walking distance to all the pubs/restaurants in the town.
Parking could have been an issue in busy periods as the street was quite narrow and in summer or at weekends there would have been more cars. We resorted to reversing down so we could get out more easily. I did find the bedroom was very light in the morning which is not an issue for some but I had an eye mask which helped.

We got Cheviot House Priti and was different to the pics on booking.com but it was a lovely house and turned out really well.
Large and well decorated property with all the amenities we needed and finished to a high standard. The whole family loved the place and the neighbors were also friendly.
Nothing to note, just that the pics advertised was different to what we got but I was really impressed with what we ended up with anyway.
Parking is limited in the area, there is space outside the house which we always got but apparently could be taken by others. We didn't have any parking problems though.

Very spacious and comfortable with everything you need.
Great location right in Seahouses, close to the harbour and coastal footpath.
Parking in Seahouses is a nightmare but there is a space kept in front of the property to park (although be aware that the street is very narrow and larger cars may find it difficult to manœuvre).
Constant reminders (e-mails) to vacate by 10 am. I must have received tens of emails from the property management about this.

Excellent location 5 minutes from local restaurants and pubs. Accommodation was very tastefully renovated and had all the amenities required.

Lovely house, beautifully decorated and loads of space in all the rooms. Ideal location in centre of town and just round the corner from a fab gastropub.
Only issue we had was that so many of the lightbulbs had blown that it was quite dark in the evenings. We did report this on the first day but didn’t get a response from the host which was a bit of a shame.
