There were 4 in our group and we found the apartment to be modern, comfortable, spotless and more than adequate in terms of space for 4 adults. Every requirement is catered for within the apartment should you wish to prepare your own meals and relax indoors. A home from home. The property could not be closer to a host of bars and restaurants. The railway station is but a few minutes walk away. If we had a question via email, we received a response generally in minutes. The host also publishes a phone contact for any questions or issues that may crop up. The best accomodation we have booked via Airbnb. We will definitely look to book this property on our next visit to Whitby. Great apartment in a great location.

Giving this a 3 star for location only. Location is great right in the centre can walk pretty much everywhere. parking is a nightmare not many spaces in the bays suggested/ free parking. The apartment itself needs a totally deep clean the floors are filthy the showers are thick with limescale and everywhere has a sticky touch. The enterance hallway stinks and then the living room smelt of gone of milk/sick smell (has improved since we moved the fridge off the wall) the dishwasher is out of use and did not leave any washing up liquid so be prepared to buy your own! If your light sleeper this isn’t the place for you the weatherspoons pretty much move there kegs every night all night from 1am then have deliveries early morning Would not stay here again.

Positives: Great central location. Beautiful view from the living room. Great facilities (except no washing up liquid) - host provided shower gel, shampoo, soap, dishwasher tablets. Plenty of space for two adults and a toddler. A good price that's competitive. Parking discs provided and clear information about where to use them was given. Also pay to park nearby was only £10 for 24 hours. Cons: Carpets were dirty and so were the laminate flooring so our socks got dirty. Blinds and other surfaces were dusty. Limescale in the bathroom/showerhead hasn't been tackled in a while. The double bed mattress was extremely uncomfortable - springs sticking up. Pillows for the beds were wafer thin so lots of broken sleep. A suggestion for ear plugs for future guests as the bedroom windows are above one of the smoking areas for the pub next door. Likewise, another pub near by had music playing until late. Storage for food other than the fridge/freezer would have been useful.

From booking the apartment information was supplied and accurate - smooth transition accessing the apartment, great location for everything. I would have no hesitation in staying at this property again. Great host Thankyou very much

Great location, flat looked like pictures. Next to pub & did get loud but didn’t bother us. Reported a smell in flat on arrival day, like damp/drain sour smell. It never completely went away. Partner was in the shower first morning & downstairs cafe owner was at the door saying water was coming through her ceiling lights. So had to get him out the shower very quick. Reported this & got told maintenance would be there to fix it when we were out. When we left it still wasn’t fixed so we could not use the shower in en-suite in the 4 days we were there. We book an apartment with en-suite because there was 3 adults all trying to get ready at the same time. If these issues where fixed we would have booked this place for future trips to Whitby but we will now be looking elsewhere where.

Great location in the heart of Whitby. The apartment was wonderfully equipped and extremely clean. Be prepared for some noise in the early hours as the pubs close up!

Great modern well equipped flat in excellent location to bars and restaurants. Only negative is the loud humming noise /vibration in lounge coming from the fan in the chip shop below, but only open during the day so didn’t spoil our stay.

Unfortunately we were unable to travel to the airbnb due to red weather alerts caused from storm eunice. Trains were cancelled and we had no other way of getting there. We shared multiple screenshots showing the red weather alters on the news as well as the cancelled trains. We asked the management company if it would be possible to reschedule and we would be happy to pay slightly more if they allow this to which they said that wouldn't be possible. The host refused to refund anything including the £60 cleaning fee...despite the fact there would be absolutely nothing to clean as the flat would have been empty for the entire weekend. Overall a really disappointing experience and a complete lack of understanding from the host and Airbnb.

I am shocked no one has mentioned the constant vibration of the apartment from 9:30-17:45 from the businesses below, maybe an extractor fan? If you don’t intend on being in the apartment during the day, this will likely not impact you. If you are, it can start to make you feel very travel sick. When booking: please note that you are asked to provide identification to the company managing the property, even if you have done so with air bnb. Various bits of information throughout our stay were incorrect, the info states the door is the black door to the left of the restaurant, when in fact it’s to the right. Otherwise info was quite easy to access from the online guidebooks link provided. When we had a problem finding the door, it was easy enough to access help outside of working hours from the company, so that was much appreciated. Accessing the property after this was pretty straight forward. The info on parking was clear and helpful. Just to note the road outside the property can only be accessed for car offloading outside of 10:30-16:00. The messages sent during our stay were confusing. Whilst the house rules state your rubbish is removed by the cleaners, we received a message prior to the end of our stay asking us to remove the rubbish from the property or take this with us if in excess. What’s in excess? More than the tiny bin in the kitchen? Of course there was no info on where to do this, in the message or guidebook. Then when you look outside, we were told the bins were for the restaurants not the apartments. Also it would be nice to have had a bin bag already in the main bin, instead of having to hunt for it under the sink. Despite paying a cleaning fee yet you are messaged prior to the end of your stay instructing you to wipe down the surfaces with antibacterial wipes provided. Whilst we always leave our air bnb places tidy this ask was yet another small thing that highlighted this property is managed by a third party and not the owner. Otherwise, it’s a nice position to access everything. The apartment has nice decor, plenty of space and utilities. Staying with a family, unlike people who have reviewed before we did use the kitchen. There were a couple of dirty dishes put away in the cupboards, that clearly hadn’t been washed properly but otherwise most things were clean there were most utensils, and sufficient facilities. It’s unlikely we would stay here again, as it’s a different standard when managed by an outside company, compared from our previous air bnb experiences, managed personally by the hosts. Additionally the constant vibration from the nearby business was a real deal breaker for me.

Just something to consider when booking. You may not get a refund from Airbnb if you contract covid. We didn’t. This flat has a property management company looking after the property called stay North Yorkshire so their is no direct contact with the home owner which was a bit confusing as I was unsure which policies to use covid etc and who I should contact etc. in the past it was the home owner. It wasn’t straight forward this time. I managed to stay with half the party as other half had to isolate. It was in a great location.

Great apartment in a central location, clean and modern. Close to the train station and parking was easy with pass included. If you are a light sleeper there was a bit of noise early in the morning from the cafe underneath and there’s a Weatherspoons directly outside. Beds are really comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to eat in.

Really good location, no parking however there a little car park to pull in to unload bags, and a big carpark which is cheap enough just a short distance, our car was completely fine there! Apartment great as the pictures! Steep steps to get up to the apartment but definitely worth the luggage struggle🤣 it has everything you need in we were gutted we didnt get to cook a meal! But everything is on your doorstep! Chippy,pub,mexican,cafe and short walk to all the attractions, we couldnt of picked a better place 😊

The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need, a lovely modern kitchen and bathrooms and the beds are really comfy. It is in a great location - right in the heart of Whitby. There was some noise at night, which you have to expect in the middle of any town, but this didn’t bother us at all. The seagulls were noisier than any revellers! We have had a brill long weekend and would definitely stay here again. Thanks to our hosts ‘Stay’ who were very good at keeping in touch and making sure we settled in.
