The apartment was easy to find and access straight forward. If you are less mobile the hills and steps may be a struggle. The apartment wasn’t spotless, but it was clean enough. The shower was nice, beds comfortable, TVs great. Noisy neighbourhood up until late and again from 7am. Happy with our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Runswick. The flat is lovely and well presented. The location is ideal to discover Whitby and 5 minutes walking from Restaurants and shops.

Good "bolt-hole" in the centre of Whitby. Not suitable for a family in hindsight as there is no bath, no oven, and the stairs to the apartment are very steep for little legs. Mistake on me as I clearly didn't read the fine print. This would be great for couples or for families with older kids. The little angel pub is opposite and they have live music Saturday nights, which was deafening until 1am.

What a great and central location! The apartment itself is great and very newly refurbished to a very high level. Just a note, there’s no oven but they have provided an electric grill. We stayed as a family of 4 and it was perfect really. The wifi is strong and fast (I still had it in Emma’s Diner down the road) and it has everything a modern family could need.

Things I like to know before going anywhere… hairdryer is provided, iron and board, sufficient hangers for clothes, coffee, tea, sugar etc (even a small milk in fridge ready for arrival cuppas) towels, toiletries, cleaning products were all provided. The apartment was very clean and in a great location. Located up either a short steep hill or a longer less steep hill depending on route taken, and then up a few flights of stairs (with handrails) prepare to have a little work out each day. Super central though and lovely cafes and shops around. More expensive than Whitby hotels but the apartment meant my young daughter had her own room to use, she fell asleep so well each night so that says a lot for how comfy and secure the apartment felt to her. Although it was right next to a pub there was no trouble with noise outside. A comfortable lovely stay.

Great apartment, very clean and modern. Milk, coffee, tea and sugar supplied which was nice. Perfect location to explore Whitby. Parking for drop off right outside, and free parking up the road, a few mins walk back.
