Very nice, modern property in a quiet but great location. Perfect for a quick trip to Cayton Bay, Scarborough and Filey or other locations such as Pickering, Thornton Le Dale, Ravenscar and Robin Hoods Bay.
Morrisons Supermarket is 5 mins away by car and the property also benefits from a Proudfoots local minimarket, which is within walking distance. A great chippy is also just a few minutes away.

We had a wonderful long weekend stay in Seamer. The house was beautiful and we loved staying there. The house is in a great location for exploring nearby places. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Thanks once again for a lovely stay!

Good modern accommodation close to Filey and Scarborough. Well equipped and comfortable. Small bathrooms but rest of house is spacious. Parking at the door. A good base for the area.

Absolutely spot on! Fantastic location with private car park. Property provides everything which is essential to have great time with family or friends. Clean and modern look, electric cook, oven, dish washer etc. Bathtub in bedroom, very comfortable beds and sofa. Beach about 10 minutes away by car. Shop 3 minutes walking distance. Definitely would book again.

Modern, has everything you could possibly need plus more. Lovely place to stay.

It was very dusty upstairs, as if nobody had been in a long while. The furniture, the bath and even the TV remotes. If it had felt a little cleaner it would have been perfect

Lovely property in a great location. We were 2 adults, 3 children and a dog, so it was cosy but comfortable. Walking distance to a shop, playground, green and pub. The property was tastefully refitted and spotlessly clean.
Unfortunately the dishwasher was not working but we were informed right away.
All in all a great stay

Had an amazing time at the Old Jail Barber’s Shop. Such a comfortable and inviting place to stay and perfect for visiting the nearby towns of Scarborough (only a 10 minute bus ride if you don’t fancy driving) and Whitby.
With a local shop and pubs just a few minutes walk from the property, it’s perfect if you just want to stay local.
Charlie was in hand the whole time to help with any queries and would get back to us in a matter of minutes if we had any issues.
Would definitely recommend a stay at the Old Jail Barber’s Shop and will be somewhere I’ll be staying at again in the future.

Beautiful property with everything you need for your stay, exactly as described the only negative comment I would have is the property was quite cold for a February getaway but would highly recommend and we would stay again.

The property had initial wow factor. The Chip shop is fantastic

The property was not as clean as you would expect. There are cobwebs in the light fittings, the sofa is badly stained, as are the cushions, the glass doors are covered in finger prints, there were drink marks on the table, the glass skylight window is filthy, the are stains on the wall behind the sofa. The shower cubicles need to be thoroughly cleaned, the cupboard at the top of the stairs is a fire hazard and the mattress on the bed upstairs is too thin, you can feel the wooden slats. The freezer needs defrosting

Parts of the property were nice

The overwhelming smell of wet dogs on arrival. The extremely loud extractor fan on the roof that came on at all hours of the day and one night until midnight, I reported this and the response was sorry for the inconvenience The bed and pillows are very flimsy budget ones that are uncomfortable.

The accommodation is brilliant everything you need for a nice relaxing break and the property is situated in a lovely little village which is close to so many coastal walks and attractions and when you’ve finished your day it’s so comfortable to return to and wind down and relax.

Stayed here with my family and dog, is an excellent location. 10/15 minutes from the centre of Scarborough with lots of attractions around. Plenty of food options and parking was very straight forward. Clean, spacious and modern accommodation and would definitely recommend for a getaway by the sea

Absolutely beautiful cottage finished to a very high standard. It had everything we needed which gave us a real home from home experience. There was a fantastic guide app with lots of useful information about the cottage and the surrounding area to help us. Within walking distance there was a fab little supermarket for essentials, a pub serving food and a fish and chip shop. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend as a great place to stay with easy access to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline.

Lovely place. Immaculately presented with modern furnishings. Very clean and tidy. 2 minute walk from the Mayfield Pub, Seamer Fisheries and a shop. Short drive to Scarborough. If you have young children the local playground is great fun.
