The Hampton is a very well equipped and high end property in a perfect location only a short walk to the heart of Whitby. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean on my arrival, and felt immediately welcoming. The kitchen is well equipped with many utensils that are often missing in Airbnb properties. The beds were comfortable, and all in all the place has an air of quality and thoughtful design and presentation. There is a small but beautiful garden at the rear of the property, so sheltered that a palm tree grows there - possibly the only palm tree in Whitby! I have close connections to Whitby, and would certainly choose to stay here again in future visits.

Disappointing stay. Lack of basics , hand towels , loo paper. And internet bad and unreliable A good old dust and general cleaning would have helped. For the money not up to scratch. Beds lovely and kitchen had all working mod cons

The Hampton is a lovely little apartment, tidy, tastefully decorated and very well equipped (including a proper fridge freezer and not a tiny under counter combo). You can tell that it’s been well thought out in line with modern decor. The kitchen and living area is open plan and well lit. The only con regarding the living area is the sofa isn’t very comfortable for getting cosy and watching TV and there’s no TV in either of the bedrooms - so we were stuck when it was to windy to go out! Was very impressed at how quickly the place heated up. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean, the fridge was spotless and had all the appliances you need. My only slight complaints are some areas of the property (mirrors, skirting boards, cobwebs) seemed to have been neglected during cleaning and for £299 for 2 nights I would’ve expected a higher standard. I would consider staying here again but I think a 1600 check in and 1000 check out time decimates the value for money. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The decor of the apartment is lovely and restful and thoughtfully done. The layout and facilities were perfect for my friend and I. The accommodation is in a great location for walking into town and for driving to tour the area, with the parking a superb bonus.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Hampton, we slept in the back bedroom which was nice and quiet. The apartment has everything you would need. We will definitely use again.

We travelled as 2 friends with our 2 children. The Hampton was as described and was clean and fresh. There is an ample sized garden/ outdoor area that maybe could do with a clear up but was fine for us to sit outside in the evening. parking was fine. The check in instructions were very clear and went smoothly, the contact we had with the host was answered quickly. It is a 10 to 15 min slow walk to the town through a lovely park. The beach was slightly further but still a nice walk. We would be happy to stay again.

The apartment is too small for four people. There was only two of us and the living, dining, kitchen area was tight and dark. It doesn't get a lot of natural light. The bedrooms are good and spacious, however the back one again doesn't get as much natural light as it could. Trimming the foliage in the garden would help a great deal. We had a problem with the hob which was not satisfactorily resolved. A few small changes would improve the apartment. The location is very good as is the parking. Host and stay were very attentive.

Fabulous accommodation, bright, airy, modern and everything you need including parking. We had a fabulous time and can’t wait to return. It’s an easy 10-15 minute walk into Whitby centre. The buses were easy to use to visit Ronin hoods bay etc. We enjoyed coffee and wine while soaking up the sunshine in the back garden. Thanks so much. We would highly recommend. Claire & Sue

My friend and our children spent Easter weekend here in this lovely apartment. It was a short walk into the town centre. We had a really good time and we found the apartment to our satisfaction and was as described. We had an allocated parking spot at the front door. We ate in the apartment and out. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at The Hampton for a few days over half term. Location-wise it was excellent. Easy to find and walkable I to Whitby centre. Ideally located to drive north or south along the coast. The place was spotless, very cosy and had all the amenities. Very modernly decorated and really comfy beds. Highly recommend

I Liked everything about the stay place was great . Whitby is great . Only annoyance for me was after I booked and paid was sent a link outside of Airbnb to pay for insurance £25 not returnable or leave a £250 deposit which would be returned minus £10 admin within 28 days. Maybe I should have read more details but I did not expect to pay for something outside of Airbnb on an external link. I only tell you this in review so you can take heed of extra charges which were not apparent to me. Beyond that We had a great time in a great place In a great Location. A credit to the cleaners as the place was spotless.

Lovely place to stay ! Lovely area and the perfect place to stay , 5 min walk from the town centre ! Lovely comfy beds , a washer/dryer and dishwasher!! Which was an essential for us , such a cosy welcoming place to stay , we stayed for a week and had an amazing time ,They even have an outdoor seating area specifically for guests at the hampton , perfect for summer nights ! Lovely little apartment within walking distance in to Whitby town (bit of a hill, but keeps you fit!). Great communication from Host & Stay, you get your own little digital guidebook which was super handy for our holiday! Even better that there was parking on site. For the price I would expect a bit more of a comfy bed and maybe some instructions on how to work the cooker and hob. The small bin in the toilet hadn’t been emptied from previous tenants and one of our towels was frayed. Other than that, great little apartment!

We had a relaxing stay in this beautiful apartment. Everything was in pristine condition and the pros included very comfortable beds, free parking and a pretty and private sitting area outside, which caught the afternoon and evening sun. Cons were some noise from the adjoining apartments (not too annoying) and the steep walk back up the hill from town. Kept us fit though!

Overall this is a great little apartment, in a very convenient location in walking distance to the town. However the road is very busy, and there is traffic noise in the morning. The accommodation is comfortable and very clean, but does lack any storage space in the kitchen for your own items of food etc. The appliances are excellent, and all well maintained. The rooms are all decorated very tastefully, and to a good standard. We had a nice stay here and would recommend to others for a short break in Whitby!

The apartment is exactly as seen on the website. It is spacious, clean and well located. The bedrooms are carefully dressed and the beds comfy. At night, when you're in the bedrooms you can hear people talking and walking around in the other apartments. However it's not loud, more like being able to hear people in a neighbouring hotel room. The outside seating area is lovely and it's great to have a parking space. We had a great visit to Whitby and the surrounding area. It's a short walk to the beach and town centre - 20 mins - with some hilly bits. We would recommend Pizza West, fantastic food and wine. It maybe best to book in advance of your visit as we struggled to get a table. The kitchen in the apartment has everything thing you need. Unfortunately we did have a serious problem with the fridge. After a few days we realised our milk had gone off prematurely. We then wondered why our fruit hadn't lasted anywhere near as long as we would expect. We had a fridge thermometer in our camper van and we established that the fridge was running at an unsafe temperature which explained why our food was going off long before the dates on the packets. This included gifts we had bought (Yorkshire cheese and Kippers - if you're a kipper fan check out Fortune's kippers). We were lucky not to be ill and we had to throw the rest of our fridge food away because we knew it may not be safe to eat. We reported this to the hosting company suggesting it needed to be fixed before anyone else stayed there. They acknowledged our concern and said they would tell the owner but we weren't sure they really understood just how dangerous this could have been. We feel we must mention it so future guests can take more care if they wish and hopefully the hosts will be able to reassure guests that it is definitely sorted out. The instructions for arrival all worked well and there was a constant stream of texts and email messages from the management company. When everything was going well this was fine. When we had a problem with the fridge it was a bit trickier. It wasn't the same person consistently responding to our messages. This meant that whilst responses were quick it felt as if there was no thread to the conversation. It was as if each person replying just responded to the previous message and hadn't necessarily read the thread of messages. Communication felt rather impersonal and as if some responses were from a script. I suspect we wouldn't have noticed or been bothered by this if we hadn't had a problem. We have given value for money a low rating. This is because when we visited there were a few things wrong with the apartment which we would have not expected for the price charged. Each one is minor and not very significant but put altogether with the fridge temperature we started to question the price. They included no tea towels, nowhere to put your soap or shower gel in the shower, no instructions on how to work the shower, induction hob or coffee maker, a rattling bedroom door (it had fallen out of alignment with the frame) whenever people moved around upstairs, an out of date bottle of milk left in the fridge and some slightly dirty crockery. Host and Stay did send 'housekeeping' with tea towels, offered to clean the crockery and said they would tell the owner about the door and the need for somewhere to put soap in the shower so hopefully this will all be okay for future guests.

A well-presented two bedroomed apartment which was clean and modern, with good attention to detail and many thoughful touches. Recently renovated, though the sound insulation from the apartment above wasn't great. The Hampton easily accommodates two cars if parked one behind the other. It is within around five minutes' walk of Whitby town, down a steepish hill, where you can find plenty pubs and cafes, plus the harbour and boat trips, beach, lots of walks, a large Co-op, and plenty of pretty streets for meandering. Whitby has more fish & chip shops than I have ever seen in my life; over 20 at last count! This apartment served us well for our four nights, while we explored Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, Saltburn and Scarborough. The communication and support from Host & Stay was excellent.

Lovely apartment. Clean. Well appointed. Bit small for four in living area. Bedrooms good size. Good parking off road. 10 minute walk to town and fairly steep on return! Small garden would be nice in good weather. Good insulation from a heating and noise point of view. Overall a comfortable apartment in reasonable distance from centre.

The apartment was wonderful and clean. Great location. The only disappointment was the WiFi, which was really slow and kept dropping. For some reason we couldn’t get a strong cell phone signal either. We needed to get a few things done using the internet and it was really frustrating.

The Hampton is so beautifully decorated and very stylish. It has everything you need for a short stay, even things I didn’t know were included like cleaning/washing up items etc. The communication before hand was excellent and the check in incredibly Simple. The parking is great too. Lovely walk down into town... be prepared for the walk back up the hill!! Highly recommend!

A great experience. The property was very clean and easy to find and in a great place to walk down to the main town.. Internet not quick but diffident to do basic browsing.. We didn’t use the car whilst there as no need as everything in walking distance.. Great service from the organisers as I needed to report a broken glass and a couple of their things..
