The space
With high ceilings beams and wood flooring, the living area has a bright and airy feel, typical of Victorian terraced properties. Featuring a statement, Victorian tiled former fireplace and comfy seating, it’s the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring Whitby and the North York Moors National Park.The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and cookware so you can make the most of your self-catering break.
Ideal for socialising, the dining area can be found between the living room and kitchen, and this is where you can enjoy meals with your loved ones.
Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a feature wall of pistachio green, a comfy king size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, WC and basin.
The second room has a double bed.
Head to the family bathroom on the first floor and you’ll find a modern look. Here you’ll find a bath, overhead shower, WC and basin. A separate WC is also available directly next door.
Outside you’ll find a secure and private yard area with outdoor seating, ideal for enjoying some fresh sea air in the summer months.

Guests have access to the full property.The keys to Sunstar are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided before check-in.
Free on-street parking is available outside the property and on surrounding roads on a first come, first served basis.

Generally I’d say the property was “ok”, I had higher expectations from the brochure. Anyone staying here with young children or elderly guests should be made aware that the two single bedrooms in the loft have extremely steep stairs up to them. Additionally, the house is in an area of terraced houses, which means that the parking around these narrow streets is limited to first come, first served & the streets themselves are very narrow for manoeuvring around when looking for parking. 6 people stayed in the property, but only 5 towels were provided. I contacted the property management company & requested an additional towel, and after a frustrating exchange with them not quite grasping my basic issue, they finally delivered a towel the next day - left on the door step - in a bin bag! The Wi-Fi listed was different to what was listed in the brochure. The place could do with a deep clean & a bit of TLC & modernising. It was quite dark inside - not bright like the brochure.

A charming and cosy little house that was perfect for our whole family. It had everything we needed—and more. The four bedrooms and three bathrooms were a real highlight, offering plenty of space for everyone. We also appreciated the thoughtful safety features, such as the stair gate, sensor lights, and fire safety information. However, when we arrived, we had difficulty finding any details about the property. Without WiFi information printed out, we couldn’t access the online information pack. It might be helpful to provide a printed version in the house or send the password to guests ahead of time to avoid similar issues.
