Sunshine Cottage is a lovely two bedroom holiday home in Preston-under-Scar near Leyburn. A gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, you’ll have plenty to discover during your stay. Perfectly named, this modern cottage is bright and welcoming. Whether it's a couples retreat or a holiday with friends, Sunshine Cottage is a gem in the Yorkshire Dales.
Upon entering the cottage you are welcomed into the open plan living, dining and kitchen area, a bright and well thought out space.
The living room is home to a pale two seater sofa, a sheepskin style foot stool, a bright yellow feature chair and single occasional chair, perfectly placed in the window. With a large flat screen TV you can enjoy evenings at home watching your favourite box set. Fitted with streaming apps, you can log into your account and pick up where you left off. The dining space sits alongside the living room with a round dining table and matching chairs for four.
The kitchen is designed with a clean aesthetic and fitted with high spec fixtures and fittings. Fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and a fridge freezer you have everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. Cookware and crockery are supplied and you have the added luxury of a dishwasher.
The two bedrooms are located just off this main room. The first bedroom is a twin room with two single beds and the second room features a comfortable double. Both rooms have a cool colour palette, storage for your personal items and the beds are dressed with luxury linens to aid a peaceful night sleep.
The bathroom is situated between the kitchen and second bedroom and features a large corner shower, WC and wash basin.
With a well maintained outdoor area you can enjoy the fresh North Yorkshire air with your loved ones.

Cottage was immaculate, with top quality furnishings and fittings. Spotlessly clean and welcoming. Huge basket of goodies too! We really appreciate being able to bring our dogs and there was lots of great walking from the cottage. Locals very friendly, human and canine. We'll definitely be back.

Sunshine cottage was a lovely place to stay. We were attending an event nearby and this was ideal for our time in the Dales. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped. the welcoming basket of goodies was much appreciated after our long journey. We would love to return next year.
