This was the perfect place to stay for our five nights in Whitby. It's an easy place to find with a parking space right outside the door. The apartment is bright and spacious, very well equipped, and has great amenities. It is just a 15 minutes walk from the harbour and town where there are good restaurants, and there is ready access to the Coastal Footpath and the Cinder Track which goes all the way to Scarborough. Highly recommended.

Spacious apartment with lovely views of the river. Great to have a parking space outside and not far to walk to town. Nice extra touches such as board games and tea/ coffee/ milk on arrival. Had difficulty making sure there was enough hot water during our stay and didn't realise we had to turn it on when we arrived as that wasn't included in welcome information. Could have been cleaner - the kitchen wasn't very clean and there was dust on all light fittings and skirting boards. Overall, nice break and would recommend to others.

We had a lovely stay at Shipwright's Escape in Whitby. The apartment was great with a beautiful view. Only a short walk into the main part of Whitby to enjoy everything on offer. The app with local information was brilliant touch. We visited some nearby beauty spots too. Would definitely recommend staying here. The host was brilliant, very quick to respond to any questions and kept us fully informed of check-in and check-out processes etc. Thanks for a great stay!

This was the second time we've stayed in this apartment, it's very well presented and comfortable. The location is perfect, an easy stroll into town, from the lounge window there are lovely views over the river Esk, and the designated parking space is right atbthe front door, all in all highly recommended.

Really happy with the apartment, hosts extremely helpful, apartment had everything you would need for a long or short stay. You could see a lot of thought had gone into what was in the apartment from utensils to hairdryer.

Excellent apartment with dedicated parking. Very clean with everything you would want for your stay. Ideal location for exploring Whitby and surrounding area, easy walk into town. Lovely to look out over the river in the evening. Would definitely recommend.

this apartment is in the perfect location. overlooking the River and whitby. The private parking space is a God send. you can easily walk into whitby if you don't want to use the car. The apartment is clean and has everything required for a holiday. Very comfortable private and quiet.

Had a nice few days at Shipwright’s Eskape. Apartment was comfortable and a 10 min walk from the middle of Whitby. Dale and the team were very responsive and answered any questions I had within minutes. Would happily stay there again.

Excellent apartment in an excellent location. Very clean and tidy and good value for money compared to others in the area. We booked through Airbnb but another agency was involved (Host & Stay) with one stating checkout was 10am and the other stating 12pm. Thankfully we were almost ready to leave when the cleaner knocked on the door at exactly 10am. It was just a little rushed for 10 mins whilst the cleaner waited.

The apartment was very nice, however a few issues we reported were not resolved. One hand towel and one toilet roll for 3 guests for a 4 night stay! Grimy grouting in the shower. Minimal crockery and 2 wine glasses. Not sure why you provide coffee pods if there is no coffee machine. A few Christmas decorations would have been a nice touch

Lovely apartment and brilliant location. Just far enough away from the centre to enjoy the peace and quiet of the location but within walking distance to all amenities. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it without hesitation.

Perfect place to stay while visiting Whitby. Delightful to watch the seabirds, and tides. Peaceful and calm. Super tidy yet cosy and quiet. Easy to walk to town, the beach and abbey. Ideal to explore the local area of North Yorkshire National Park.

Excellent flat, in a great position, with its own parking spot. Some people have commented on the bathroom and hot water, but I think they must have been completely renewed. It's all excellent. The only reason for 4 stars was a slight lingering smell of stale cooking oil in the kitchen/lounge and a few bits of cleaning overlooked. Otherwise, it was perfect. 😄 Note that the listing did advertise a washing machine and dryer under facilities. However, there aren't any laundry facilities. I think the listing has now been corrected.

It's obvious that the owners of Shipwrights Eskape have gone to a lot of trouble to make the apartment and warm and welcoming place for visitors. It's in a great location, close to the centre of town and makes a great base for exploring Whitby & North Yorkshire. It's well appointed as a whole; but if you were staying for any length of time, there might be a couple of niggles that might start to annoy you. As a bloke, I tend to ignore instruction books, but there are none for any of the appliances in the kitchen. That became a massive oversight when trying to use the main oven. The oven definitely needs some maintenance or replacing as I discovered when after an hour and a half's operation the oven was barely warm and certainly nowhere near the 200º needed to cook my newly purchased gourmet feast. A bigger waste bin would be useful too. Other slight issues are the underpowered shower and a tired looking toilet seat in the bathroom. Hope they sort all these before my next visit!

This is a lovely apartment in a great location, we reckon sn essy fifteen minute's walk into town. Wery well appointed and comfortable, there were teo of us but would easily acomodate four We did feel however that t bathroom needed some attention the heated towel rail didn't work and the cistern sd sometimes intermittent in filling up after a flush. The little unit was also a bit rickety, this room not up to the standard of the rest of the flat. Having said that we wouldn't hesitate in visiting again, we had a lovely stay in Whitby.

The house is in a great location, quiet residential neighborhood, with private parking in front of the door. The house is spacious, the beds big, the kitchen well equipped, even though some ingredients looked old. Cleanliness was not maximum, very dirty glass and crumbs under the couches. The TV takes a lifetime to turn on. No ventilation in the bathroom.

Fantastic flat in a great location. Loved the views out of the window and even got to do some seal spotting. Furnishings were lovely, beds were really big and comfortable. Great to have a parking space so close to town. Flat had everything we could need.

This is a really fab apartment, just outside of the busy town but just a hop and a skip to where all the action is. The property was very clean and is probably the most well equipped holiday let we have stayed in. Great views from the Juliet balcony and all the rooms are very spacious with a lot of storage space. Will definitely stay again if back in Whitby!
