Firstly the positives - Saltburn is a lovely place and the flat is conveniently located for the beach, restaurants, pubs and shops. The location is reasonably quiet and although it is near the station you could barely hear the trains. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom is good. The bedroom is a good size with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage. Now the negatives - the flat had no washing machine although this has since been removed from the listing. The sofa is not fit for purpose, the seat cushions have no stuffing. The flat shares the entrance hall and stairs with other residents so it is quite scruffy. There was also a strong smell of "alternative" cigarette smoke especially at night.

We had a lovely relaxing stay over the bank holiday. The flat was in a perfect spot in easy walking distance of the beach and some lovely local bars and restaurants. It had everything we needed. Really straightforward check in and out and good communication before and during our visit.
