Honey cottage was situated in a really good location for exploring. It was so easy to walk into Staithes and only a very short drive to Whitby. The gardens were great as they were private and fenced off to keep dogs safe and secure. Unfortunately I felt there was a lot of rules regarding taking a dog but adhered to them although my own dog is used to more freedom within the home. I loved the back garden it was really well thought out and peaceful.

Lovely quaint little cottage. Exactly as described. All the essentials and comfort needed for a break away. Single parent, travelling with teen, child & the dog - was plenty of room, lovely private rear courtyard, secure front garden for the dog (the bench is placed in the best sun trap). Off street parking. Lovely added little extras, soap, toiletries, tea coffee & treats for the dog. Made it all feel that little bit special. Thanks for a lovely stay. Will definitely return.

We loved Honey Cottage! It’s a perfect stay for two, and so convenient for Whitby, Runswick Bay and Staithes! We had everything we needed in the kitchen and the outdoor space was so pretty and surprisingly spacious!

Beautiful cottage. Small but adequate. Had a lovely stay - very comfortable sleep. Bathroom panelling needed a good dust. Otherwise very clean overall. Disappointing food in the local pub (The Badger hounds). Beautiful coastal locations in surrounding areas.

Although space was slightly smaller than anticipated in the photos the cottage is cute and quaint and in a peaceful location. Great accessibility to walks along the Cleveland way. More attention to detail with cleaning could be made and the mattress in the second bedroom was in poor condition. Great value for money.

Wonderful stay at Honey cottage. Just perfect location with lots of walks nearby. Cottage was a perfect size for myself as a solo traveller with my dog but would also be ideal for couples. Location is perfect if wanting easy access to walks and beaches. Check in was easy and the dog treats were a lovely surprise. Would absolutely come back anytime.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was very cosy and our 5 year old daughter enjoyed exploring all the quirky spaces. It’s in a lovely location and in easy reach to explore Whitby and the surrounding coastline.

Great communication and very responsive host, the property is so nice and feels so homely, a viry nice place to stay. Good location especially if you like to go walking. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely few days at the cottage. Hinderwell is a favourite place of ours. It is quite small but perfectly formed and has everything you need.. cosy log fire which was much needed, good pubs, the beach and fabulous walks all close by. Would definitely recommend.

Very well located with easy access to Whitby, Runswick bay and the beautiful coast. A lovely little cottage, very clean, with everything we could want for our short winter stay. Maybe worth noting, it is quite small, with narrow stairs, so might not suit taller or broader people!

A bijou property on main road through the village but with it's own private off-road space. The property is warm and cosy. Within a mile of Runswick Bay so a nice easy walk. A good base for touring around Whitby, Staithes and Saltburn.

Honey Cottage a warm, cosy and characterful. It was very clean and well appointed and I loved the patio garden. A very good base for exploring local beaches.Our dog and a lovely time and so did we!

Wonderful little cottage in a fantastic location to explore nearby towns like Robin Hoods Bag and Sandsend. A cute and cosy living room with a wood burner to keep it nice and toasty on the cold coastal evenings. My partner, dog and I all had a fantastic time and we would definitely stay here again in the future if it was available.

Few essential items missing; oven gloves and stove glove - we have to use the only tea towel in the place as a replacement for both so it got dirty quickly mix. Also - seemingly only wood / coal for one night - perhaps there was more but not clear

Lovely place to stay and the cottage was great. I’d like to say that above all the owner, David, was responsive, helpful and quick to sort out the problem of a power cut when we arrived. He was very apologetic and reimbursed us for the inconvenience, without prompting. Host & Stay however were less than helpful - on contacting them in the first instance they sent me a very generic message and then failed to respond to my reply, simply sending me an automated message asking me how my check in went. I had an apology from another member of the H&S team the next morning but by then I’d already sorted the issue by liaising with David and a neighbour. In contrast to the personal and helpful response I got from David - who I only managed to contact after being given the number by the very helpful neighbour, Host & Stay’s service was poor. I don’t have a bad word to say about the cottage or about David, which we’re both great - Host & Stay however were less than satisfactory.

Honey cottage is a beautiful little cottage on the North Yorkshire coast, perfect for dogs with Runswick Bay a pleasant 20- 30 minute walk away. The buses were a great success, pick up just outside made a day in Whitby with our dog so easy. There is no shop in the village so be sure to bring stocks with you.

Lovely cottage with private garden. Everything really good apart from the shower wouldn’t work at all. I would definitely return here as it was very homely and close to lots of lovely beaches.

Lovely cosy cottage with nice outside space. The bathroom is narrow, as are the stairs but that's to be expected in an cottage and wasn't a problem at all for us, just something to be aware of. Host and Stay do request a fairly chunky deposit which I feel is unnecessary (particularly when you're already paying £60 for cleaning) and not something we've had to do for other Airbnb stays. There is also a £10 admin charge for the processing of this. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Honey Cottage though, comfortable bed, clean and tidy and has facilities to wash muddy paws and boots in the courtyard at the back.

Honey cottage was beautiful. The location is perfect for visiting a range of gorgeous seaside towns. The house itself had everything we needed and was decorated to a high standard.
