Great house. Great location,. Near seaside and town. Comfortable beds and very roomy. The downside was we had to ask for a key code to get access to back door which we strongly felt was needed both for a fire escape and access to bins. Also there was no information on where we put waste or recycle. However we very much enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay in an ideal location, A Big spacious house and bedrooms apart from one , A spare sitting room is a great extra. A lot of stairs to the attic rooms though if you are not very fit The front garden is lovely to sit and watch the world go by and everybody is so friendly The furniture and carpets were a bit stained and could do with some TLC as could other parts of the house but this does not affect the overall experience and would recommend using Host & Stay

Great location in the town. Great size for 10 of us. a bit of rubbish left from the previous occupants but was fine. Great place to see whitby and have a great time. 😊

Great location, great size house for 9 people. Samantha did a good job cleaning the place. Only thing that let it down was there is limited outside space, only the front patio. Also the windows at the top of the house didn’t all have blinds. Overall a very enjoyable stay for everyone. Thank you

Lovely big house ideal for large group/ families. Big kitchen with good seating. 2 lounges. However just lacking items you need! Top floor room has no electrical socket in the room. Thought was a requirement! Lack of fire instructions/ alarms if on top floor and fire breaks out. Two rooms have no drawers or unit to hang clothes up??? Had to leave for week in suitcase😬 Only 2 glasses in kitchen for 10 people? We bought 8 from Sainsburys for £9 as Host and Stay never responded to our complaints. Only small frying pan and medium saucepan to cook for 10 people? No mirrors in bedroom. All small things which could easily be rectified as this house is in a great location in a wonderful town.

Host & Stay take a £250 damage deposit that they charge you £10 to take and then keep for 10 days following your stay. Which I thought was very naughty. BUT the place was spot on. Beautifully decorated & well provided. Great location. Info was easily found. Good communication.

Everything was great, except for there was no heating. I messaged them on airbnb and they replied saying that the heating control had gone missing and that they would contact me the next day to sort out heating. They never contacted me

Lovely house. It's actually number 10 not 14 though, took us ages to find it as there's no name on it either. Had to ask a neighbour. Fab location. Very comfortable.

Great house, perfect for our large family. 8 Adults, 3 children and 4 dogs fit comfortably with plenty of space for everyone. The heart of Whitby was a 5min walk away with a beach 2 mins down the road. Would definitely recommend.

Positives - LOCATION, LOCATION LOCATION. Comfortable beds and nice big kitchen and living room. Negatives - The heating is not reliable and the single glazed windows are very noisy. I LOVED the location but would not stay here again due to the heating and windows.

Lovley place to stay. Communication with host and stay was appalling. No thermostat control for heating. Host and stay just kept reitterating what the information pack said. Rather than the fact i told them there wasn't any contol to be found.

Booked a weekend stay and the property was a great size and as described apart from the hole in the lounge floor under the sofa. The early Sunday morning check out at 10am meant we spent some of Saturday night preparing to vacate in the morning. Booked Whitby again for the new year but got a place that allows a check in at 2pm and a checkout at midday - this means a weekend break that provides us with accommodation for 3 more hours. We stayed November 11th to 13th and I am writing this on November 27th with still no deposit refund. This deposit has now been with air b&b for 24 days.

The house was in an excellent location. Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. Parking can be a problem but once we had found spaces in the allocated zone we did not need to move them until we left as we used public transport. The kitchen lacked a bin and brush/pan. Overall the house was great for our large family.

Nice place, well situated, big rooms but if it is for 8 to 10 people, it should have at least 8 coffee mugs. The listing say we can request late check-out which i did but it wasn't up for negotiation! 10 am for check-out is really early!

The property was perfect for a large group of ten of us including two children and two dogs. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything you need and everything was in good working order. All rooms are decorated to a good standard with large, comfortable sofas. Bedrooms are very spacious all with en-suite and beds very comfortable. Large, fluffy towels included as well as nice finishing touches such as hand soap, cleaning products and reed diffusers. Be warned that there are a lot of stairs which is to be expected in a Victorian terraced property of that size. The location is perfect, less than five minute walk to the harbour area and plenty of amenities close by. I would definitely recommend this house for a large group.

Great place for friends or family get together. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Location excellent. Super communication with hosts. Property (and Whitby in general) not ideal for guests with mobility problems due to stairs/steps.

Good accommodation, good location very well appointed only a few niggles with storage in bedrooms. Beds very comfortable and everything very clean. Stairs to top floor are quite steep for seniors. Parking permits for two cars but not always room in street but usually ok in surrounding streets.

Lovely house in a great location , fab room sizes and spotlessly clean . Lovely comfy beds and linen. Few little bits missing such as a full length Mirror and dressing table mirror in 1 bedroom which us girls really need . However we had a fab weekend and enjoyed some lovely weather x

Great house very close to the centre of town. The hob didn’t work for the first two days; although they responded quickly to try and repair it, they were unable to do so and finally replaced it with an smaller appliance that left a large gap in the counter. The house looked impressive at first but when you looked closely it was not hugely clean, particularly the kitchen floor. However it worked well for our large family. The location is unbeatable.

Really lovely house in an excellent location. All but one room was a fantastic size, and the shared spaces were very comfortable. We went as five couples and found the house to be excellent for our party as there was enough bedrooms plus bathrooms for everybody to have their own space.

What a lovely house, we had a super time there is loads of room nicely decorated and well situated just a short walk to the centre of town. The front garden area is a great place to catch the sun before heading out. Recommend a visit.

We really enjoyed our stay. A lovely house and a brilliant location. The only slight issues we noticed were lack of outside bins (1 very small black bin that was full when we arrived, so we had to put binbags by the side and seagulls kept pulling it apart). There was also some rubbish behind the door in the double bedroom on the top floor. Apart from that everything was perfect and we really enjoyed our time and we’d definitely come back. Thank you!

Brilliant stay for myself and large family. The location was perfect just a short walk to the whale bones and down into the heart of Whitby. Not far from the bus stop which takes you to Sandsend. The parking permits provided were fantastic! Two provided which was enough for us once parked up we didn’t move the cars which was nice. The house itself is large with multiple floors all the rooms well thought out and decorated. I’ve never seen a building have so many bathrooms :) Large spaces with two seating areas a lovely kitchen dinner. The beds were really comfy too! If taking children and you need a high chair or cot, these are provided but you need to request them before you arrive so they can have them in the home as they’re not kept onsite. I would 100% visit again. Thank you for having us.

Lovely accomodation, clean and supplied with all ammenities you could wish for. Easy check-in and hosts on hand to answer any queries. Parking in nearby streets but able to unload outside property without obstructing traffic. Not suitable for those with walking difficulties. No rear garden but a pleasant front garden to sit in. Great stay
