We really enjoyed our stay in Whitby! The accommodation was gorgeous and was really easy to settle into and made a great home base for our town adventures! The parking pass provided in the room made our nightmare of trying to find parking a lot easier! Definitely get to Whitby before check-in to try and find a spot - the W parking zones have a 2 hour return so you can check in and put the scratch pass in before it runs out! We would definitely stay here again but we think next time, we'll get the train in!

Stayed as a couple for 2 nights and the location was perfect. Right in the centre close to everything. Inside was clean and included everything you could need for a few nights. As it is so centrally located parking can be challenging and there is noise in the morning. However, for me it was still worth it for the view and location

Apartment was in a Central location, very easy to find. At the side of a pub, so quite noisy at times, but not overly so, plus noise from other guests above and below us. We did have an issue navigating the narrow, windy staircase with all our bags and a small dog, so would be a no-no if you had mobility issues. The apartment was very modern, clean and central, with toiletries, hairdryer, tea, coffee, washer and dishwasher, so all in all it great.

the place itself was very nice. lovely apartment to rent in a very good location. the only downside was the 4pm check in and having to leave by 10am , this made the stay feel rushed and had to carry our bags around until 4pm . host was very responsive in messages and place was very nice

This apartment is really lovely, so close to the swing bridge, everything is walkable and a lovely view from the living room windows. However, the noise from the upstairs neighbours was dreadful, lots of banging, loud shouting, arguing etc… was kept awake until well after midnight then it started again at 06.00, really put a downer on what was a lovely and well needed stay in Whitby.

Perfect positioning in the heart of whitby, apartment comfortable and clean,bed comfortable but pillows alittle hard for me, parking was a nightmare W zone is a distance away from the apartment so if you have plenty baggage it can be a nightmare , we had difficulties with the cooker, very high tech had to Google instructions we figured out the basics eventually ,a simple microwave on top would of been much easier than spending time on how to work the oven

The apartment had a lot of potential however the cleanliness was questionable, with dust bunnies around on the furniture and furnishings, hair on furniture and a smell throughout. The WiFi network was not working (it appeared to not even exist either on my device or anywhere I could find in the apartment). I messaged the host on the first night of 3 and nothing was ever resolved, in spite of multiple voicemail messages and air bnb messages. The listing when I booked said that parking scratch cards would be provided, however when we got to the apartment they were not there. I messaged about them and received instructions about what to do with the parking scratch cards, despite me saying I didn’t have any. Customer service appeared to managed at an offshore call centre who were neither helpful nor very responsive, I only got through to a person by using the host&stay web chat first.

The flat needs to be better looked after. It smells humid everywhere, and many things are broken (fridge, door frame to the cupboard, coffee machine is leaking, paint is coming off the walls, cracks everywhere). I specifically booked the flat to be able to work, but the WiFi wasn't working at all (the WiFi network wasn't even showing). I sent a message on the first day of arrival and only had someone come on the last day, who could only come and notice that indeed the WiFi network wasn't showing. I had to use the downstairs flat's internet, which obviously had a very weak signal and didn't allow me to work. As a result, I had to work from a coffee shop and then take a day off, which I didn't want to do. The electricity got cut off without any warning, and we had no information on how long that would last. The toilet backed up into the shower, which resulted in an atrocious smell (I sent a message about that and was told to "open the window").

Great stay, very convenient location. Bear in mind this is an old property with people living above. WiFi is quite slow but after a reboot, good enough for streaming. So the owners were attentive to get that sorted.

Location of the apartment is great and the overall look of the apartment is really nice. It’s a lot smaller than the photos suggest and feels quite small and pokey. Had read reviews about the noise from upstairs. It really is noisy, the floors creak like anything and you can hear when your neighbours need the loo. The main issue we had was that the bed is seemingly a normal double bed frame which has had the legs removed and is put on the floor. The centre supports have also been removed which means the centre bows inwards and so the bed isn’t flat. It gave me really bad back pain and my partner who is pregnant had to sleep on the sofa. After 2 nights of waking up around 3-4am with pain we decided to end our stay early. The team reply to messages in an OK amount of time but weren’t able to provide any help with the bed whilst we were there unfortunately.

Pros: The location of the place couldn’t be better! Right in the centre of Whitby and accessible to everywhere. The apartment is very modern with its decor so that made it feel very welcoming. I initially felt the value was on the pricier side as it is a relatively small place but the location does make up for that so it’s fair. Cons: The bed is not a good design at all, it felt cheap and creaked a lot. We also had an issue with accidentally leaving our key in the apartment and finding out the door self locks which we didn’t know about until it was too late. We called Host & Stay and they ensured a replacement would be sent to us and a maintenance cost may be included. It took 3 hours to receive a new key in which we were only staying for 1 night and check in was at 3pm so that took away a huge chunk of our stay. The stay had finished and the next day we received a bill for £124 just to have a spare key sent to us during our stay which we immediately thought was ridiculous . My partner and I felt like we weren’t being looked after at all, we’re all human and forget things when we leave the house from time to time. The price was extortionate and we were never told why it costs that much to drop off a key from A-B. For an easy fix of having a key code implemented as a backup to prevent things like this happening, It really left a bad taste of the stay for us overall sadly.

This is a really cool modern apartment right I. The heart of Whitby and down at harbour level not up on the cliff like many apartments. It was a really enjoyable stay, I just with I was there on holiday and not just passing through for work

Very nice little apartment, really clean and in a very convenient location. Only downside was noise, the noise from the flat above was really loud, sounded like a heard of elephants doing aerobics and unfortunately our fellow guests seemed to be awake all night. The floors above must be hard floors and there are roller doors and the toilet makes a noise like someone is drilling through the ceiling when it is flushed. I'm pregnant and tired a lot so it was maybe a bad choice for us, but if you were in town to stay out late drinking and then sleep like the dead then it would be a perfect choice!

Really lovely stay. It didn’t feel like anything was missing. Very noisy seagulls one morning but you can’t do much about that! Fantastic location, easy check in/out process. Price reasonable for Whitby.

We enjoyed our stay this weekend. The accommodation is amazingly located right in the centre of Whitby. The only concern was the noise of guests walking around in the apartment above. Maybe carpeting would help this. Having said that the accommodation was superb and we would stay again !

The apartment is in a nice central location and handy for getting out and about in Whitby and beyond. The on street parking is not too far away. In the notes there is a warning on noise. The lounge fronts on to the main street but the bedroom is at the back and is nice and quiet and so personally I did not find this an issue
