The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious and had all the facilities you need for a short stay. The location was great, parking was available on a nearby street and it was close to the lovely Pannet park. We would definitely stay again as family of 4 and a dog.
No hair dryer, but everything else was great! The hosts had thought of everything!.

Great location, parking was easy and very nicely decorated.
High winds against the main bedroom windows kept us up at night.

It was spacious. Very comfortable beds. Slept like a dream. Good shower. Great for pets. Big television.
The taps in the kitchen was already damaged, struggle to get the water out. Struggle with the hobs. Wasn’t sure how the work.

Location & accommodation great. Very clean & very comfortable
Minor details bit the bath drain plug didn't work, we had to do it manually.
The kitchen tap was loose in the sink unit.

Perfect location as it was a 10 minute walk down the hill into town and then the same distance to the beach. Very comfy apartment, stylish and clean with everything needed for a great stay
On one occasion we couldn't park on the road outside however there was space on the adjacent road so it wasn't a big deal, just more of an inconvenience that added 30 seconds extra travel to the car, which is a first world problem!

In all honesty, this is the best Airbnb out of the 20 I’ve been in, I’ve come back 4 time and will be more if available. Free Parking right outside, You’re definitely getting more then what you pay for too.

Interior furniture and space was great.
Toilet at rear of property has a poor flush, loose handle and loose seat.

Location was excellent. Apartment was a good size
Lacked a frying pan and a tin opener 🙂. Personal preference would have been to have had the beds in the second bedroom in the extension with the French doors. Second toilet and shower room had paint peeling off the walls (presumably incorrect paint used) and dust/cobweb in the (floor) corner looked to have been there ages

Overall a fantastic experience and we would happily use again

The second we got there if felt like we were bombarded with texts and emails reminding us to be out by 10am. A little of putting and the only negative of the stay

The bed was very comfy and the apartment quiet. The facilities were brilliant too. This is a stylish and tastefully decorated apartment. For us the added bonus was being able to bring the dogs who were quite at home on their beds in the lounge.

The location, it was perfectly situated to access all whitby has to offer.
Building dirty with cobwebs and dust everywhere. The toilet seats were hanging off and wall peeling in the bathroom. No frying pan and insufficient towels for a family of four staying 3 nights. Hidden insurance charge of £25.

The location was perfect and that it was pet friendly.
Couldn’t open the windows they were bolted down. The weekend was very hot when we stayed which made it uncomfortable for us to stay on the apartment. Numerous messages were sent to staff but nothing was resolved

The apartment was very spacious, clean and kitted out to a high standard. There was a little room with a TV next to where the kids slept which they loved. It was a perfect locatin, just a short 5 minute stroll into the town centre. And we managed to park right outside for free. Would definitely stay there again.
There nothing about our stay here not to like.

Light & spacious living area
Provision of a coffee table or small nest of tables would make it easier when relaxing with a cup of coffee or having a drink whilst watch tv. This could be placed against the wall underneath the tv screen.

The apartment was large and very well presented: clean and decorated lovely. There was a lot of room for the four of us and the two bathrooms were a huge bonus. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were nice too. The hosts were great, in contact a lot, and the digital information booklet was VERY helpful. We knew what to expect before we got there. Also, the heat system was very good, came on when you needed a little boost. It was very easy to access with the lockbox as well. Plus, the location was fantastic. Super easy to walk into Whitby, only about 10 mins to get to the heart of town.
There wasn't much to not like about the flat. The only tiny thing is we realised we forgot our hairdryer and it would have been extra great if there was one in the apartment, but it wasn't listed on the list of amenities so it's not really a bad thing there wasn't one.

The property was lovely. Host&Stay were not a company i would use again. It felt like i had to jump through their hoops, text book fake apologies and tasks and hassled repeatedly to read handbooks and reminding me when to check out. We were only there 48 hours. On top of being held to ransom 2 weeks before going host&stay did not make for a pleasant or relaxing stay.
The property was lovely, as per the pictures. A couple of problems but the landlord was nice and responsive.

This is the first time and the last time I will use air bnb! what a bloody joke you are honestly! Trying to get the code to get into the property was a nightmare, you said you had sent it to me when you didn't and the person I spoke to while I was stood outside the property like an idiot said she would send it and never did so I had to contact you again for the code. My weekend was a washout and I hope yours was too! This property was not worth the money I paid either there were dog pawprints on the sofa absolutely disgusting! I will never give air bnb a good review whether it is to friends or in general!

A fantastic property to stay at: clean, well-maintained, etc. with great communications. A few things: on first arrival you’re faced with 3 keysafes and I was unclear which was the right one; also, the advert states there is parking on the premises: incorrect, there is in-street parking around the property but not on it. We were there over a busy bank holiday weekend and had to park some considerable distance away as there was a high number of vehicles in the area. Irritating though this was, it did not spoil our enjoyment of the property or Whitby: would definitely use again.

Self catering
On arrival at 4 pm the flat was cold and there was no hot water. The boiler was broken. I managed to fix the boiler and got heating and hot water.
In the bathroom the bath plug mechanism was broken. You had to lift out the plug. In addition the bathroom radiator was leaking. We've have left one of the kitchen bowls catching the drips otherwise the tiling will be ruined.
In lounge there were only 3 seats. One of us pensioners had to sit on the dining room table chair or the beanbag; that was fun getting up. We also noted at scratch on the wall above the radiator. I've taken a photo.
No hair dryer.

beutiful top floor apartment with great views and in walking distance of Whitby Town. I would highly recommend this place if your planning a trip to Whitby

Gorgeous top-floor flat - living room was lovely and spacious and great for relaxing. Cosy bed and lovely clean bathroom with double shower. The communication from the host was clear and helpful but a bit too fequent - I received a number of messages the last night of our stay reminding me of check out and it was stressful. The listing could also be clearer on their requirement for a £25 damage waiver - again once I had booked there were a number of messages sent about this (which I could not respond to quickly due to being at work). Otherwise the property was lovely - the communication, whilst clear and helpful, could be a bit less frequent.

Great property, we’ll set out and spacious.
The bed was awful. Stayed 5 nights and came home needing a good nights sleep.
Apart from that I would recommend
Again, it was the bed

The apartment was in the perfect location, beautifully decorated and was lovely and spacious. It was lovely and clean with excellent facilities (including a dishwasher and a washing machine).
There were some teething problems when we arrived-
1) the parking is not an available space for the apartment, it is just on street parking so first come first serve, this is not detailed in the advertisement and was a bit of a disappointment as I filtered by parking space;
2) the lock boxes were not labelled on the outside so we had to check all 3 to find the right one and the label for Fauna was missing, plus the locks were a bit fiddly and took a bit to get in;
3) the remote for the TV was not out so we had to try 3 different ones and change the batteries;
4) the radiators in the bedrooms were not on and there were no instructions for them so that took a while to figure out which in winter was a bit disappointing.

Although there were initial issues collecting the keys, we were helped to do so by both the H&S service and the owner. Thank you.

The location was excellent for Whitby Town & the harbour, and also for easy access to the main road out of Whitby.
The property was lovely - very spacious, very clean and very well equipped.
The only (minor) downsides were lack of access to the WiFi - despite being given updated details it wouldn't let us access the router; and the property was somewhat chilly on arrival as the thermostat was left at 13 - but that was easy to turn up and it didn't take long to warm up the property.

Beautiful flat type property. Very modern, extremely clean. Allowed dogs however no allowing us to bath them would have been an issue if staying a week.
The insurance scam. You really need to add that to the cost upfront. Sending a message giving a choice of £250 upfront deposit isn’t a pleasant.

Excellent finish to renovation work, nice selection of furniture and fittings
Parking. The info provided states on street on first come first served basis. Didnt say it was virtually impossible to get a space close to the property. An explanation of the local parking disc scheme would have helped
Instructions about appliances would have been helpful. Online brochure goes into tv in depth, nothing about induction hon
The request for a returnable deposit also seemed a bit off, we were almost afraid to do anything in apartment incase it prevented deposit return
Lack of bathroom blind off putting as were comments about what temperature expected from boiler

Everything except not as advertised ie no bath which was the reason we booked due to health issues also no patio ground floor and toiletries as stated although that wasn't the main issue like the bath
Lack of clarity on Facilities and also in extra admin costs and deposit

Property was clean and tidy. Comfortable with everything we needed for a 2 night stay. Great pub 5mins walking distance.
Although we were a party of 3 the sitting area needed an extra chair, not suitable for a party of 4. When taking a shower you are on view to the road above. My husband and I were very uncomfortable with this view. Please install a blind.

Comfy clean and tidy
Paying a waiver that should have been included in the price. Tried paying them online which kept failing. After many attempts it went through. Day of arrival the pin number we were given didn't work. So had to phone them to get correct pin. They said the waiver hadn't been paid. Fortunately we had a copy of their invoice with us and had to email them a copy. This process took 10-15mins. Also i thought i had booked a ground floor accommodation which turned out to be the top floor. As my companion is disabled and the stairs were a bit of a challenge. Finally the handle on the inside shower door was missing.

Had a fab time staying at this property celebrating our first year wedding anniversary.
It's in a great location and very comfortable we felt right at home. Hosts were communicative and check in was simple.
We would definitely recommend this property to family and friends - only thing that was slightly tricky was parking on arrival but this wasn't a problem for the rest of the trip once we'd scouted out the local area.

finished to a very high standard, very clean and comfortable.
Parking is an issue, my advice is use the west cliff car park, though it is a trek with bags.
Just be mindful to take into account the cleaning fee (£50) and accidental dame fee (£25) when booking, although both are in description so not complaining.
We would definitely use again.

Good location, just a 5 or 10 minute walk to the centre. The flat is clean (except for the forgotten bread) with everything you could need, it has washing up liquid, kitchen paper, even dishwasher tablets. WiFi was good. On road parking nearby was scarce. Mattress ok, but as in most places the pillows are terrible.
We booked 2 nights through Booking.com, but the company who owns the property is 'Host & Stay'. They sent me 12 emails before we arrived including a one about a returnable 'security deposit' of £250 plus £10 administration fee. They offered a £25 'waiver' as an alternative. One or the other is compulsory. I made the mistake of reading some of the emails about damage to the property and it was terrifying, I was booking a 2 night stay, but they were talking about structural damage and water damage. I had no time to cancel, so I paid for the waiver. At checkout I was sent more emails including downloading a checkout guide 🤷. So much for a relaxing trip. Part of the checkout is to strip the bed of bedding, I had already paid more than I thought I was going to, now they want me to prepare the flat for the next occupant 😯. We booked 3 properties over the 2 week period (some through booking.com and some through Airbnb) and no other property asked for a security deposit or to remove bedding, we always leave places clean and tidy when we leave. We have booked property all over the world and never been asked for deposit. I will not be using Host & Stay again and will be complaining to Booking.com about warning of extra charges. I didn't like the blue moldy bread in the cupboard either.

The aoartment was excellent,
We had trouble with the lock box the numbers were sticking it took us over an hour to gain access the only way to contact anyone was via the booking agent there were numerous calls and flat phone batteries did not make it easy, we were charged a £25 waver which was none refundable however we were highly delighted with the property
