On the positive side, the flat itself is beautiful, well equipped and clean. The bed was comfy and the flat was warm and welcoming. On the negative side, the check-in was very poor. The confirmation booking email provided all details for check-in but did state we had to pay a non-optional additional damage waver before we would be given the lockbox code. You had to call a number to ask for the 'verification' email'- which was actually the damage waiver. We felt tricked. When I asked why this wasn't made clear on any of the Airbnb communication, they read a line about a damage waiver which is tucked away in the original listing. We had to call x3 to get said 'verification' message and so was 2 hours delayed in accessing the property-which already has a relatively late check-in time. Host and Stay ignored my message asking for this to be discussed. To top off the actual stay, the flat next to us had two dogs which barked constantly ALL NIGHT. The hosts did apologise when I messaged.
