Had a really lovely couple of days away for New Years - would have been really helpful to know what was going on during the festive period as found it hard knowing which places were open. Really clean space with all the things you could need - although cooking wise there was no oil/ salt&pepper as the shakers were empty.

Pros Location excellent House well decorated and furnished TV and Netflix excellent Matched the description well Beds great Facilities great Cons Place was dusty on arrival with crumbs on table and chairs etc. pots needed a round in dishwasher. Steps up to the property were hard work with lots of bags etc (although this is clearly mentioned on the listing) Boiler played up meaning no hot water which is fine as can happen, but host took a while to respond. Needed to buy fairy liquid and hand soap

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the property. The property as described is a 2 minute walk from the harbour. The check-in was easy with great and regular communication. The property itself was modern with all the facilities as described. It was spotlessly clean and everything was in good working order. It had 2 bathrooms and the shower was brilliant. The Wi-Fi was good and that always keeps the kids happy. Having stayed at many holidays homes including in Whitby would say this is difficult to beat and would strongly recommend. We would stay again.

if you're planning a trip to Whitby, I can highly recommend Host and Stay's Jet Cottage. Just a 5 minute walk into the centre of town, handy for the railway station, local shops and attractions. The property itself is clean, modern and comfortable. We had a great week and had plenty to do in and around Whitby.

Had a great stay close to town centre and allocated parking space which was a great help. Steps to the house was quite steep but ok unless you have difficulty walking. Would happily stay again.

As a family of 3 we have had a wonderful stay at Jet Cottage. The location was perfect just a 3 minute walk to the harbour. The house was spotless and very comfortable with great views. The car parking space was a great addition. All in all we had a great experience and would 100% recommend. Thank you!

Place is dirty, photos do not match the property, cobwebs and wood live everywhere. Can’t get hold of the hosts, everything is automated. Requested full refund but no contact as yet.

Exactly what we wanted! It's within a few minutes of Whitby harbour and very quiet. The house was very tidy and clean and had everything in it to make you feel at home. Highly recommended!

Good points: 1. Location was very good and within easy walking distance to town 2. The flat was good and view from the front was great 3. Felt safe with doors open in living room to allow fresh air in - might get very hot in hot weather. 4. Beds very comfy. 5. Great water pressure when having a shower. 6. Washing machine and dishwasher provided. A few minor bad points: 1. Could only get a few TV channels (may need looking at) although Smart apps available using own login I.e. Disney, Netflix etc. 2. Kitchen could do with more utensils - grater, potato peeler, scales would have been useful. 3. Only 2 coffee pods provided. 4. Two lots of crockery and cutlery would have been good to avoid having to keep putting dishwasher on daily 5. The outdoor area at the back wasn’t very inviting but it was as described and we knew what we were getting. 6. Downstairs bathroom smelt a bit of the drains. 7. Scourer/sponge provided but washing up liquid provided wasn’t enough for the 5 days.

This would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues as there are a number of stairs to climb to get to the property. It is centrally located close to the train station with easy access to the centre of Whitby and beaches

Lovely place to stay with 4 adults, brilliant as it has 2 bathrooms. Great as it has parking. Host were very responsive. Beautiful house.

Great place to stay. As described. Great having the parking space and just a short walk into centre. Only thing that needs improvement is the outside area. We wanted to sit out and tried to clean furniture, with brush provided, however full of woodlice so unable to make use. Needs a good power wash!

Jet Cottage is super central and the private parking is fab. Lots of steps up to the property fyi! The house was very cool in the hot weather. Unfortunately the dishwasher was broken but while they weren't able to fix during our stay we were able to contact someone very quickly and someone came to look same day. Showers were very good.

We had a super few days in Whitby and the surrounding area. The accommodation was a short walk from the centre of Whitby and having a parking space was an added bonus. The cottage was lovely, clean, clutter free and beautifully decorated, with a great view of the Abbey from the outdoor seating area at the back of the property. We’d definitely recommend and stay at Jet cottage again.

What a beautiful place! Tucked away within walking distance from everything in Whitby, this place was a real find. The accommodation is beautiful, lovely decor & very comfy beds. We were all delighted with everything about it. We were a party of 5 and the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were perfect. It was so quiet considering how central it is and we loved sitting at night looking out the living room window at the beautiful Whitby rooftops. Fantastic stay and would highly recommend. Thanks ☺️

This was a lovely clean, modern and well looked after property. Things to be aware of though: there were additional cleaning and insurance charges that weren't part of the advertised price and there are no recycling facilities on the site or nearby.

We had a great break in Whitby. The house is really centrally located and we were able to walk to lots of restaurants nearby. It’s just across the road from Pannett Park too with a great kids play area. The house itself is well equipped and really lovely. It was generally clean with a bit of dust in some places. There is a dedicated parking spot (someone was in our space when we arrived but thankfully they moved their car) which is great as parking looked to be in short supply in the area. There are 50 steps from the car park to the house itself so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues or a buggy. We really enjoyed our break and on the whole the house was great 😊

This place is in such a perfect location. A very short walk from the front and the main street in one direction, or up to panet Park and Skinner Street in the other. There are 50 steps up from the car parking spot (very good to have in Whitby!!) to the front door. Written knowing if you have low mobility or small kids and lots of stuff. The house is really nice, well presented, warm , clean and comfy.

Great, modern house. Fabulous location being so close to town. The house was clean and very well equipped. Would definitely stay again. Our teenage children particularly loved the selection of channels on the telly and we loved the view from the living area to the park opposite. Lovely break.

Lovely modern house located really close to the centre of Whitby. Everything was of a really high standard and absolutely spotless. The communication was brilliant couldn’t fault it. The only downside was the amount of steps to the property - maybe that’s my age! A couple of things we had to report such as the shower not working properly but other than that it was perfect

Fantastic location and beautifully presented home. 2 double rooms and a single alongside a kitchen / lounge top floor, this house is furnished to a very high standard. Worth noting that it's at the top of around 30 steps to reach the front door. In addition its a town house style with a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, 2 further bedrooms on the middle floor along with another bathroom. The top floor while compact is comfortable with everything you need. It's a short walk to the town centre and a brilliant park is 2 minutes away. Parking is fine and access to the property is via a lockbox. Communication was spot on with the added bonus of a digital pack with all the information you'll need. Perfect for a cheeky weekend or even longer! Worth mentioning there were a few woodlice kicking around, didn't bother us....
