Just got back from a wonderful stay at Silton Hall. The house was exactly as described and very comfortable with plenty of space. The pool was lovely and warm, even for our two young children. Check In and Out was easy with clear instructions. The pictures do not show how beautiful the view from the house is. We had a lovely time staying at this wonderful property.

Absolutely fab stay at Silton Hall as a half way meeting point for a big friend group. Facilities were brilliant - especially the pool! The space is so big and comfortable and the surroundings are so beautiful. Definitely stay here it’s lovely!

The house was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and it was great to have the pool. The host was very responsive and answered questions quickly during our stay. There were just a couple of small issues to note. The kitchen was pretty poorly kitted out to host that number of guests. There were no larger serving bowls or pots, no scissors, only 10 forks (despite there being 14 guests). The pool doesn’t have any loungers anymore and there were only 5 plastics chairs instead. We would still recommend and stay again. Thank you.

We had a great stay at Silton Hall . We were a party of 12 and there was so much space for us all.Bedrooms were very nice ,clean and comfortable.4 bathrooms and a downstairs w.c . The electric shower in the small shower room was a bit hit and miss,hot and cold and not very powerful and all bathrooms need a shelf to put toiletries on , other than these small niggles everything else was good.Dining room was great for a large party to all sit together.We found there to be enough pans and dishes for us , however there were not enough forks for us all , plenty of glasses and cups, plates etc.The pool was excellent and we loved it especially the kids, as the pool is in a separate building from the house , it’s was very dark getting to it at night and it could do with few lights along the path . We never sat outside as the weather was not suitable, but there was only one table and 5 chairs , as the house sleeps up to 14 people a few more outdoor chairs . We loved our stay and would return

All as described a lovely place to stay. Comfortable spacious bedrooms. Lovely sitting rooms, plenty of places to sit quietly in the house and gardens for those who required a little downtime. Swimming pool was well used by us, warm and larger than expected with plenty of poolside towels available. Splendid gardens and plenty of places to run around and play ball games etc. Nine adults in our group, not one had an adverse comment and of course the children enjoyed it.

Lack of pans suitable for catering for 12 people, no large serving plates or salad bowls. House described as luxury. It was more comfortable. Swimming pool good. Check in and out times strict unless you pay extra. Not had that with an Airbnb before.

It's a great house, perfect for large groups. Plenty of quality spaces to gather together in or to spend some quiet time. The pool was great - larger than expected - but it was the grounds that surpassed all expectations. They're extensive and well- maintained with wonderful views.

A lovely house in beautiful grounds surrounded by countryside. The house is very spacious. Very secure and private. Heating was great and kept us cosy. The gardens & pool are brilliant. The gardens are well maintained. There is a little patio area with a table & a few wooden chairs but it would have been great to have some other outdoor furniture you can move (but this is just a wish and not a criticism) . The kitchen was well stocked for cutlery & kitchen equipment and plenty of coffee pods & tea bags. Would we stay again? Yes we would but I would like to see the following improvements: 1. The walls to be washed down or repainted as they were a bit grubby. 2. Washing up liquid & brush. 3. Better toiletries - they were a little sad & sparse. 4. Hand soap in kitchen . 5. Host and stay to ensure the damage deposit information is correct! Advertised as £250 but wanted to charge £500. We did have a bit of a battle about this! Recommend the Dog & Gun pub for food. Very, very good!

Overall our stay at Silton Hall was amazing , the place is absolutely huge! We were a party of 12 and didn’t use half of the downstairs rooms!, the pool was fab and was a lovely temperature , the grounds are stunning and well maintained. I wouldn’t hesitate at returning , and would recommend.

We loved Silton Hall, beautiful gardens, clean warm pool. There was plenty of space and amenities. Beds comfy and towels and linen good. There was 13 of us and two dogs and there was more than enough room for us all. The only disappointment was that the plates had been put away dirty by previous guests, cutlery and baking trays needed re-washed but that was the only fault. We had a truly fantastic time.

I planned a surprise for my boyfriend for his birthday where his friends would be there when we arrive (he thought we were staying in a glamping pod) and it was the perfect weekend. The pictures don’t do it justice how beautiful this place is. We had the best time and couldn’t stop talking about how great the place was. The only criticism (if any) is that there was no salt and pepper and could have had more coffee, sugar and tea for the amount of people that stay. Other than that, no faults at all and will definitely be booking again! The best weekend I have had in a long time. Also appreciated the fast replies and how seamless it was to check in and out.

We had an amazing time staying at Silton Hall. It was a gathering of old friends, their kids and dogs and the house suited this perfectly. Pros: - Rooms were beautiful& clean & there was plenty of space for different families to have their own spaces and lots of loos and showers. - garden had stunning views - pool was bigger than we thought, and perfect temp. - Kitchen was stocked better than expected Cons: - sheep loose in the garden on arrival and had three dogs with us - couldn’t make use of the great garden, in case of an incident. Property management took a while to respond and did not send anyone to help. instead, they suggested we put dogs on leads… - heating was off on arrival and took a while to heat up. No curtains on the single glazed front door. Would recommend they put heating on for arrival and get some curtains for the doors. - no kindling and limited fire wood which we needed as the house was so cold - only a couple of loo rolls provided

Whilst the scenery and accommodation were amazing many things let it down. The biggest disappointment was over the pool we were told it would be between 28 and 28 degrees; it was 20 degrees and would have taken a few days to reach the stated temperature- we were there from Friday evening until Sunday morning. Basics were missing- salt and pepper, cooking oil, kitchen paper, anti-bac spray and only one roll of toilet paper per toilet! With a full house all using the one toilet downstairs it quickly became an issue. The dream of an exciting family get together sadly didn’t happen!

Have just spent the last 4 days at Silton Hall with my family of 15. the property was just as it was advertised, kitchen was well equipped, common areas were all big enough for my family, maybe slightly bigger sofa in the lounge for us all to watch the darts final😄 the Internet was not the best and would buffer often when both tv were been used. sleeping arrangements had good feedback from all, with comfy beds and plenty of bathrooms. we used the pool area which was warm and used by us all, only draw back was when walking from the house to the pool in the dark the path could have done with some artificial lighting. we enjoyed some local walks and plenty of trails to satisfy all abilities and great to finish your walk with a pint in the local pub, the gold cup inn. would highly recommend Silton Hall for a large family get together😃😃

Our family had the most perfect Christmas at Silton Hall. Plenty of space for all the family to enjoy, beautiful grounds, spacious rooms and great swimming pool which was enjoyed by all of us. I had read a couple of reviews that weren’t so positive however I don’t believe them to be true. Lots of linen and bedding , and plenty of glasses, mugs and crockery for large groups. We have already started planning our trip back to Silton hall. Thank you !

The property was in a very isolated and Peaceful location. The house was very individual and suited us as a family really well. Everything was clean and tidy. Tea and coffee and sugar was provided, everything else you need to bring. Plenty of towels, though we could have done with more t-towels. There was no flexibility about checking in which was a shame as it was a late check in 4pm. My only real concern was the house was freezing when we arrived. I immediately turned up the heating which was 10 degrees but it was so cold in the house that even 5 hours later it was only 14 degrees. We had to wear our coats that first night as there were no wood or coal to burn in the two fireplaces. I received no response when I enquired about where there was a wood store outside. The kitchen was warmer because of the Aga but it was only set at the lowest setting. So I really suggest that you request the house be preheated and take some wood for the fires. Overall a really good stay. Pool great.

The grounds of Silton Hall are stunning. it's just a shame that the house itself doesn't match up to them. We had a number of issues during our stay - the main one being the pool hadn't been turned on, despite the fact I had been told it would be ready for our arrival. The kitchen is no where near well equipped enough to deal with large groups and none of the basics (salt & pepper/oil etc) were provided despite the fact this place is being advertised as luxury. The beds were uncomfortable and the bedding wasn't high end as in the description. it's a real shame as it could be a great place to stay but everything inside is cheap and the company obviously don't want to spend the money and so the luxury element doesn't exist and it felt like a real waste of money.

Silton Hall itself is absolutely beautiful, a great place to get away for the weekend. The surroundings are beautiful, and the property is so large, both internally and the grounds, that, if well prepared, you really don't need to leave. We enjoyed breaking up our stay with a trip to the pub in the village which was very welcoming. The only issue we had, was that the online guide didn't work on the first day which meant we couldn't use the swimming pool, and when we asked for help there was no resolution, which meant we couldn't do what we'd planned on our first day. Luckily the online guide started working the next day, but it was somewhat frustrating. All in all, the property was exactly what we wanted and I think anyone would struggle to have a bad time, the pool issue was annoying as we couldn't get through to anyone to resolve it.

I regret to say that our stay at this property was quite disappointing. Communication with the host was poor, with responses often being very slow or ignoring previous comments altogether. At one point, someone answered the phone saying, “Who tf is calling at this time,” which was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. The pool was left dirty for the first two days of our stay, rendering it unusable until a housekeeper could be arranged. Additionally, many areas of the house were dusty with cobwebs, indicating a lack of proper cleaning prior to our arrival. The kitchen was poorly stocked, missing most basic necessities like bin bags and kitchen roll, which made it inconvenient for our group. Furthermore, the bathrooms were inadequate for the number of guests, with only one toilet each for 15 people. The one thing that was above expectations, were the grounds. The garden had plenty of space for our group and was relatively well maintained.

We had a lovely few days at Silton Hall with all our family. It is in a great location (plenty of great places to visit) and has wonderful views. The house is spacious and the gardens are beautiful - extensive and well kept. The pool is fantastic - even larger than expected and a great asset especially if the weather isn’t good! We would thoroughly recommend the property.

I absolutely loved staying here, the only issue was the heating was on and it was 22 degrees and sunny so upstairs was extremely hot. My friend burnt her leg in the middle of the night on the radiator as it was next to the bed. When asked where the thermostat was, we received an automatic response which wasn’t helpful. I would take bits like extra dishwasher tablets/bin bags/tin foil/toilet as there wasn’t many provided

Myself and my friends had a fantastic time staying at Silton hall, the grounds are beautiful, it was so peaceful! The house was equipped with everything we needed and the house itself was gorgeous, we all felt like we were in saltburn! Any queries we had were answered promptly too. Will definitely be back with a group for sure.

We have just returned from a fabulous stay at Silton Hall. The house was amazing and in a stunning location. Having the private pool made the holiday extra special for the kids. The house was much bigger than it looks in the photos and the hosts were fab. We had a slight issue with a blocked drain on day 4 of our stay and I contacted the hosts within and hour they were out and had it fixed. Would highly recommend this property

Beautiful location, impressive building and vast grounds. 14 of us plus a dog had a long weekend here and it couldn't of been more perfect. More than enough space so that we could all hang out as a group but also enjoy our own space at times. The pool was perfectly warm enough and amenities where spot on. Would happily stay again!

This is a wonderful opulent property with ample space for large occasions. The swimming pool is a tremendous asset but is a tad cold for young children in the winter. I imagine it is fantastic in the warmer months.Similar to other reviews we found insufficient large pots for cooking and the Aga, although warm was well below a temperature where cooking on it was possible(think it might need a service). The heating was good and easily regulated to suit. The Gold Cup pub is permanently closed so if the proximity of the pub is one of the reason for booking you’ll be disappointed. The beds are comfortable and all the bedrooms are well proportioned most with appealing views. Bathrooms are pleasant functional .The house, grounds and views are breath taking even in the winter, but in warmer months I suspect your stay would be elevated to a different level entirely.

Fantastic property, amazing pool, bedrooms very spacious and lovely living area. The kitchen is really well laid out with plenty of fridge/freezer space however it lacks cooking pots, sharp knives, serving dishes etc. the grounds are really well kept and location is great for walks etc.

We had a great time at Silton Hall, based on a lovely location, the use of the pool and spending time with our family. We found the rooms spacious and well laid out and the boiler room, which acted as a drying room, was a welcome addition after being outside in December and drying walking shoes and swimming costumes. The grounds are excellent and enjoyed by everyone, especially the dogs. We were a party of 12 and if we hadn’t taken some additional cooking items, we would have found it more difficult to cater for a large group.

A lovely spacious property. We went with 8 adults, four young children and a labrador dog, there was plenty of room and choice of nice spaces to help our long weekend work well. A few details made for a 4 rather than 5 star response - a light circuit not working in the dining room, a large en suite bathroom with no surfaces on which to put anything and a few other small niggles which we fed back. Overall however a great place to stay for a larger group.

silton hall is a beautiful country house with everything you need for a large family gathering... we felt so at home and had a fabulous time celebrating a 30th birthday party with our closest family, friends, children and doggos.. we want to return in the summer and make use of the amazing outside spaces and the fantastic pool house!! thank you to host and stay and the owners for having us as guests

A beautiful building in fabulous surroundings for a peaceful weekend away. It was a shame the village pub was closed but we had a great Sunday lunch at the dog and gun in Knayton which was only 10 mins away. The pool is a great facility and the hosts were very responsive in any contact. Will certainly visit again.

Pros: very clean, looks as pictured, beautiful gardens and scenery, lovely pool and good temp for adults/ older children, tvs and WiFi worked easily, decent toys for children to play, board games for aduts with, nice local walks Cons: lukewarm water in the bathrooms (apart from the electric shower) pool too cold for our 15-month-old, not much to do locally other than walking, no handsoap in the toilets Overall, we were happy and enjoyed our stay. Great if you want to spend time as a family away from it all

Silton Hall is beautiful, the house has been renovated to a high standard and beds are really comfortable. The gardens are fantastic, the kids loved playing out there without supervision. The pool was brilliant, great size, lovely and clean and had everything you needed in the pool room (towels, sun loungers and some inflatables). There was a couple of things we missed whilst we were there, a few big pots so we could cook for everyone. There are only a few small pans. And we wished we'd brought a speaker as there wasn't anything like that. The local pub (The Gold Cup) wasn't open the day we tried to go but it looked like it should have been from the website, not sure why. It has beautiful countryside all around the hall and has a nice walk nearby that takes about an hour so great for the kids.
