Surrounded by beautiful walks and breathtaking beaches, you’ll soon forget the stresses of everyday life here. Whether you’re looking for a tranquil getaway or a dog friendly adventure, this spacious property will certainly provide the perfect base for your stay with Alnwick, Amble and Rothbury just a short drive away.

The space

Crab Cottage is a beautiful semi-detached property packed with plenty of perks. Inside you’ll find a homely living room, two large bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and off-street parking, along with a spacious garden.

With beautiful interiors and a neutral colour palette, the living room is welcoming and snug. Relax on one of the two sofas with a good book or play games with your loved ones. Modern in style, the space also includes a large coffee table, 55 inch flat screen Smart TV and delightful ornaments.

Head next door and you’ll find the dining room. With a rectangular wooden table and seating for all guests, there is ample space for your party to enjoy meals together.

With light coloured walls and sky-blue tiles, the kitchen has a bright and airy feel. Grey wooden cabinets and modern fittings fit perfectly with the nature of the property. Fully equipped for all self-catering staycations, you’ll have access to an oven, hob, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer and dishwasher during your stay.

Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find two bedrooms. Bold in colour, both bedrooms have spruce blue walls to create cosy and stylish spaces. You’ll enjoy your sleep at Crab Cottage as both the king size bed in the first bedroom and twin single beds in the second bedroom feature crisp white linens and plush bedding. Please note that both bedrooms can either be made up as kings or twins so please contact us before your stay to let us know which layout is best suited for your group.

The bathroom at Crab Cottage comes in the form of a clean and modern suite with a walk-in shower, WC and basin.

Also located next to the bathroom is an additional WC.

Outside you’ll find a large garden with outdoor furniture on a patio area and artificial grass with a football goal. A real treat, this outside space is an added luxury. You can enjoy al fresco dining with your party and drinks outside as the evening draws near.

Guest access

Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Crab Cottage are accessed via a key safe box and full details will be provided prior to check in.

Private on-site parking is available for up to two vehicles.

A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Crab Cottage per reservation.

Crab Cottage has a wonderful atmosphere. We felt right at home the minute we entered. The kitchen is great with everything you may need. Lounge super comfy. Bedrooms are lovely and spacious. Loved our short stay there and would highly recommend.

Crab Cottage is like a home from home. The house it set up so well, especially for families. The garden is gorgeous for some lazy time at home while on a trip, and equipped brilliantly. We felt so relaxed while staying and enjoyed local sites. The beach down the road is amazing and there’s plenty to do in the area. Our hosts left tips and descriptions a plenty. Brilliant stay, we may well return.

We absolutely loved our stay at Crab Cottage. The house was clean and had books and games for the kids, as well as a wonderful garden with a little football and net for them to play with. These little details just made it feel like home from home. We loved the house and were really sad to leave. A couple of days we took a drive past the farm to Sugar Sands beach. It was great having a beach so close with two young kids. The cafe in the village is amazing! Well worth a visit. The house is also close to Alnwick, which has everything you need, Alnwick Gardens & Castle and Amble. We had the best holiday and can’t wait to return! :)

Crab Cottage is a lovely home in a quiet village just minutes from the coast. We found it clean, very comfortable and a really great base to explore the incredible local area. So much to see and do that a week simply wasn't enough! Didn't get time to relax in the spacious garden but loved curling up on the sofas (under blankets due to a chilly July!!) watching TV with a hot cuppa! The amenities are excellent and loved the child-friendly touches like a little desk and chair with little book library too... we didn't travel with kids but very thoughtful things like these makes Crab Cottage feel a little different. Highly recommend Crab Cottage for a stay of any length!
