Good location for Whitby without being to deep into the town. to get into town it's a 10/15 minute walk down a hill. the address that we put in Google maps took us to a house with a car park about 7 houses down so was quite hard to locate as we arrived in the dark. lots of stairs to get to the apartment but we didn't mind that. nice views from the rear windows. getting a shower was a bit awkward (you can see that from the photos) but was fun nonetheless! the cold tap in the kitchen wasn't working and I couldn't get the heating on (user error!) so I phoned and chatted to a nice lady and someone came to to sort it whilst we were out. will say that the bathroom door just wouldn't stay closed, had to wedge the bin in front of the door but even then it wasn't fully closed. think that needs looking at especially as people value their privacy. despite the little issues and quirks we would stay here again and I was impressed with the customer service that we were offered

We enjoyed our stay and the apartment had everything we needed for a weekend in Whitby! It is basic and compact but we felt good value and was ideal for what we needed. Some maintenance is required such as the bedroom window leaking in the rain and the cold tap in the kitchen not operational. Parking was tricky but we knew it would be - just a shame the reserved (for other apartment) spaces were empty all weekend but we couldn’t use them. We knew this in advance of booking though so not a complaint. A cheap and cheerful weekend!

Lovely air bnb so cosy and done up nicely with a seaside theme. Would stay again if went back to Whitby perfect for couples. Good location to get to Whitby and also to Robin Hood’s bay!

The place was as described, a bit of a hike up to the top. The apartment was clean and airy,and you wouldn't know you were by a main road.

The cooks cabin was clean and cosy. It was in a great location with the town in easy walking distance. The only minor issue being the sloped ceilings in the bathroom, my partner is 6ft1 and kept banging his head on the low ceiling!

Short walk down a steep hill into lovely Whitby. Lots of nice walks along the coast and pleasant walk up to the Abbey. Lots of little independent shops to visit. I found some free parking just found the corner on the street past the ambulance station leading down to the town. Perfect base for other places to explore like Robin Hoods Bay and York.

The accommodation itself, Cooks Cabin, was perfectly adequate. Lounge area was comfortable; kitchen well appointed; bedroom comfortable. The attic space bathroom meant no room for a shower and the bath was dated and scored so we decided against it. Main issue for us was the cigarette smell which hit you from the moment we entered the front door. The location, on the main road south out of Whitby, very close to a junction, was pretty noisy. Thankfully the bedroom was at the back of the property, so was quiet. The other main issue was the lack of any parking, especially when unloading and loading. It's too close to the busy junction to pull up outside. In terms of value for money, I guess it's the going rate for this popular resort in the summer, so no complaints there. Overall perfectly fine, but I think these limitations need to be clearer before booking, to make a better informed decision.

The apartment was OK for the price we paid just needed a good clean the batteries needed replacing in the TV remote also the kitchen clock needed the battery replacing the bathroom picture didn't show the damage around the toilet which was a little poor overall i had a reasonable stay no more no little

The post code takes you to a guesthouse down the street, luckily they were lovely and helped us find the property, but be aware. The location is great, only a short walk down the hill to the center of Whitby, couldn't have asked for better.

Lovely accommodation, we'll equipped - altho lots of stairs to climb, and hill down to town! On tiptoes, good view from top floor. Great base to explore Whitby. However it proved impossible to contact the host over 2 queries we had. And a bit stingy with the toilet paper!

Flat is decorated to a good standard and contains all mod cons that you will require. Great that you accept guests with dogs. Shame about the lack of parking, but not really anything that can be done about that. Shower is a little impractical due to layout of bathroom. Location isn’t too far from Whitby sea front, only a 10 min walk which was ideal.
