This place is great. The house is well fitted out with plenty of space, comfy beds and excellent kitchen / bathrooms. The location is ideal for exploring Nidderdale and you can walk straight from the door. The additional charge for insurance is an unnecessary annoyance and could just be rolled into the price, but doesn't take too long to do.

A beautifully appointed cottage, great kitchen, bathrooms and cosy lounge. The beds were very comfy. Walking distance from a very friendly pub that served great grub and excellent beer. Also walking distance to beautiful countryside - our dogs were in heaven. Would love to stay again!

Carlewell Cottage is in an elevated position which affords excellent panoramic views of the beautiful countryside. The cottage is very comfortable and caters for all needs. The kitchen/diner is light and spacious & fully equipped with high end appliances, crockery and cutlery. Two very comfortable king size beds with assorted pillows for preference ensures a good nights sleep. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic location and amenities are really top notch. Three toilets and two bathrooms is an unprecedented luxury. Wonderful kitchen and a lovely sitting room. We also had beautiful weather and could sit outside. Amenities in the kitchen are perfect and there is a small freezer in the boiler room.

Lovely modern cottage. Very comfortable. Peaceful. Beautiful location, but advise having a car with sufficient power to get up the relatively steep hill entering the village. The local pub, The Crown, serves classic pub grub and staff are friendly. No shops nearby so do stock up on self catering items before you come. A wonderful few days in the Dales (despite the rain!).

Lovely location and very clean on arrival. The kitchen was very well equipped, but also had enough empty cupboards for us to be able to put out for away. Two things to be aware of 1. There are no shaver sockets on the property, so if you want to recharge an electric razor or a electric toothbrush you need to take an adaptor plug with you. 2. The next door property has right of access over the back patio (although they only used this once during our 10 day stay).

This is a village that is close to our hearts as a family member grew up around here. This is the first time we have stayed at this home, but we would definitely come back again. It was warm and comfortable and matched our needs perfectly.

Carlewell Cottage has been a lovely place to stay. It is in a beautiful small village perfect for a quiet stay and close to local touristic attractions. We'd definitely come back if we are in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - everything was as advertised (if not better!). The location was absolutely perfect, a great base to explore the Dales. The accommodation itself had everything you needed for a great stay. Thank you so much!

What a lovely accommodation! All new and clean, and very well kitted out. It has everything you would need (fully functioning kitchen specifically), and including towels etc. Bedrooms and kitchen/dining were really lovely sizes, and the living room was nice and cozy. We had great communication from the host throughout, including a message to make sure we had checked in ok and that we had everything we needed. Location wise; it really is the middle of nowhere and nearest town/village with a food shop is 20min drive away so really do make sure you have everything you need before you arrive. It's also up a very steep hill so we decided to drive to get to some local walks (we had 2 babies with us) but there is also a public footpath almost directly next to the house which was accessible. So many lovely places to explore nearby. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, and would definitely recommend. Would consider going back if we're ever in the area again.

The Airbnb was in a lovely location and the views were amazing! The house had everything you needed and was very clean. The beds were super comfy too which was great after a day of walking!

Carlewell cottage is a new house on the edge of the beautiful Middlesmore village. It’s at the top. At the end of the road. Suited us just fine. The house is spacious, spotless and very comfortable. Top end appliances and furnishings Walks right from our doorstep. Pub just down the road. Fabulous place.
