House and location were great. Although had to call times in regards to issues during 1 week stay-broken shower, beeping smoke alarm and broken fence panels. All eventually resolved. Garden is a big mess and not safe for young children and dogs. We found broken glass, spare broken fence panels with nails sticking out just lying on the driveway and weeds that are head height. For the cost of the property it needs some serious attention in the outside space. It's a shame as the inside is lovely.

Absolutely beautiful home!! Really enjoyed our stay there however just a couple of things which dragged it down a little. The house is right on the road, with 2 of the bedrooms at the road side, lots of cars speeding up & down the hill at all hours of the night waking us up meaning we didn't get a full 2 hours straight sleep. Garden is lovely however there are a lot od very big & tall jaggy weeds coming out of the slabs, taking away from the dog friendly aspect(or kid) as attracted lots of slugs at night. Very low wall for dogs easily to jump over & escape too. Beautiful sun room but needs some roller blinds as it attracts the heat making it unbearable to sit in there/kitchen to enjoy the views. Beautiful & Spotless apart from those points though! Ideal location just a minute from the beach which our dog loved!

This chalet style bungalow has amazing views and was perfect for visiting family. The property is up for sale and although clean it could really do with repainting internally and the upholstery cleaning. This being said it wouldn’t put us off coming again.

This was perfect for me, my sisters and my mum. Parking directly outside the house. Fabulous restaurants within a short walk (less than 5 minutes). Views straight onto the bay. Never stayed in saltburn by sea before and it had so much to offer. Great base for visiting Whitby, robin hoods bay, Staithes. Dog friendly beach on your doorstep and surfing! Brilliant weekend.

The house is comfortable and the kitchen well equipped, if you're planning to cook remember to bring salt, pepper and oil as they are not provided. We had a lovely New Year here and would definitely come again.

I know Saltburn well and have stayed in a lot of rentals in the area. Burnsyde was outstanding. It is in quaint and quirky position which gives it spectacular views of the coast , but is just off the road and easy to find. Ambience was wonderful. Will definately come back.

Having stayed in Saltburn many times we found this fantastic cottage and decided it was time for a change. Upon arrival we parked the car and entered, it was very well presented and spotlessly clean. The location and views are fantastic, the beach, steakhouse and Seaview restaurants are a very short walk away which was just what we wanted. No need to cook as breakfast's at reasonable cost's are also on the doorstep, the walk up the valley and along the beach were fantastic for both us and the dogs who settled and loved the stay. My only criticism is that the sofas are very uncomfortable, after a short while and when your in for a relaxing evening enjoying a glass of wine it just took the edge off the otherwise great break. We will most definitely be back soon as we love to visit out of season. Please consider changing the sofas!

Such a wonderful place to stay. Waking up each day and watching the surfers head out to sea while we sat all cosy drinking tea was a great way to start the day, and within 10 minutes' walk of the house there are lots of great places to eat and drink as well as walks on Saltburn Pier and the beautiful beach. The house itself was exactly as described and pictured. It has a really comfy living room with thick, soft carpets and luxurious sofas. The perfect place for our group of six friends to gather. I hope we'll return one day.

What a find! A great beach house with more than enough room for the four of us and two dogs. Could have happily had more guests staying and it would not have been crowded. The beach view in the kitchen was great! We had everything we needed and the icing on the cake was the Nespresso machine for morning coffee in that stunning location. The road outside was a little busy and the gates wouldn’t quite lock properly. Would recommend keeping dogs on leads in the small garden due to the proximity of traffic. However, overall the location was great, with access to the beach and town centre. Lovely walks and drinks in the local pubs. Will definitely stay again and recommend!

A beautiful house ideally located. We found the late check in and early check out and the inflexibility of the host to alter these a problem. We understand this works for the business but it doesn’t for the paying guest who in effect loses a day in the property. The double beds were too small for us and too soft so we did not sleep well.

This review is offered honestly. The cottage is in an amazing location. 90 seconds walk to the seafront, the pier and the amazing Seaview Restaurant (book well in advance); the Ship Inn, the woodlands and the southern cliff-top path and the main town are further away - 5 minutes. You do overlook the car park but it's not remotely noisy. Inside, the property is modern clean and really spacious, as per pictures. However we did feel there were some maintenance and upkeep issues: 1. Both security lights are broken outside 2. The extractor fan upper bathroom does not work. 3. The upper bathroom sink was very slow to drain (part blocked) 4. You get issued one J-cloth and no scourer pad and no washing up liquid, with which to clean the pans. 5. The mattresses are pretty much end-of-life (esp upstairs) give a very uncomfortable night's sleep. 6. The large sofas look comfortable but they are not - the cushions are worn out On the plus side there is a large freezer (not listed on airbnb)

Anyway all in one it was a pleasant stay as the weather was nice and we have explore the location but I don’t want to think how it would have been if it was raining all the way with 2 small kids ! House is beautiful .

Beautiful views from all windows. Lovely spacious kitchen. Large sitting room. Only criticism was the skirting boards were dusty and scratched. The en-suite upstairs didn’t have adequate lighting to see your face. The steps could be improved from the driveway to the sunroom, too deep and not easy to negotiate. Disappointed there were no wicker chairs/cushions in the garden to relax in the sun, as photographed. Couldn’t find one dishwasher tablet, for £90 cleaning this should have been available. Overall we had a lovely time at Burynside.

This is my 4th visit to this property and although the property itself and location is outstanding, there were a few hiccups this time around and as a result will be unlikely to return. The checkin code was not provided and the host was unresponsive. My 92 year old mother was left standing at the door for 40 minutes after a long day’s travelling. I asked before our stay at the property if it had a dvd player, if not I would bring one. I was assured it had a working one but I found when I got there it wasn’t working. I had to spend holiday time driving to find one. There were no batteries in remote controls, only one roll of toilet tissue in the bathroom, one dishwasher tablet etc. This meant part of our holiday was spent grocery shopping. Nonetheless we had a great stay at this wonderful location. Just disappointing customer service from the host.

Spotless property with easy check in and check out details .. should probably state when booking that you need to pay a damage bond before then send you relevant details or maybd just add the £25 to the booking price . But overall worth the money and will look to book again if in the area .

We parked up at this fabulous seaside home and the car never moved again! Apart from a few slight issues which have been resolved, we walked along the beach daily with our little dog, took the funicular Cliff lift a couple of times, but mainly just sat and looking at the sea and sandy beaches, watching the world go by from the amazing sun lounge . This has to be one of the most relaxing holidays we’ve had as a family and we will definitely be returning in the spring .

I wish we could have stayed longer. We sat in the kitchen with mugs of tea watching sunrises, the stormy sea, people happily walking their dogs. Easy drive down to Whitby, and great location for coastal walks. Lots of fab tests and pubs in walking distance all with an interesting history. This was the most cleanest of places we’ve ever stayed. Will definitely book again.

We were revisiting Saltburn after many years (my grand parents had a caravan in the town, spent lots of family time in the late 70s early 80s) I was pleased the town had retained its charm, and felt more prosperous than at the height of cheap package hols abroad) The valley gardens, prom pier and funacular were really lovingly looked after. The new cafes and restaurants are a welcome addition. The property location is fantastic, 5 Mins walk into town, less than 2 to the beach. The view to the cliff head is epic The interior of the property is well designed and thought through the f&f are contemporary and in good order. Host and stay and management company were friendly and easy to deal with. We wouldn’t hesitate recommending to family and friends.

This is our third stay at this house so it’s obvious we love it! It’s also our first time staying in the summer and it’s the best place to be in summer (particularly during the hottest temperatures ever recorded in the UK!). The uninterrupted views are incredible, house and garden beautifully styled and comfortable. The claw foot bath is heaven. We loved being able to walk everywhere and just parked up the car for 5 days. Any queries we had were answered almost immediately., very friendly and would definitely recommend staying here.

This property was so easy to find and had plenty of parking. The garden looked lovely and there was plenty of space for sitting and enjoying the scenery. The garden was enclosed too which was a real bonus for our dog. The views over the sea were incredible from the sun lounge. The bedrooms were the perfect lay out for us and the property was clean, warm and very comfortable. We will definately return.

Check-out time should be 11 o'clock, not 10. As there was a prescribed "list" of things you needed us to do that morning, there was not enough time to go for a walk on the beach or through town before we had to leave. I've never once had to remove my own rubbish from an Airbnb location, so to pay a £90 cleaning fee, but we had to clean? Completely unacceptable. The person (not professional cleaning service) who came to clean also arrived early. We all felt rushed out. I'm perplexed what she was going to clean and why it would take from 10-3 to do it. The location seems great at face value, but it is difficult to park during busy hours and aside from the beach and small town, we had to drive 15-20 minutes for daily activities.

Overall this is a great holiday home location which is located 1 minute from the beach and some nice walks. The home is well decorated and has room for 3 cars easily which is a great benefit. The rooms are comfortable and the downstairs bathroom is great. Lots of space in the home. The only one niggle was the en-suite bathroom only had one light so it was rather dark. Overall defo recommend :)

Lovely location, and a really bright, clean living space to spend time in between visits to the beach or forays into town. We were very lucky with the weather but it can get very hot in the kitchen and upstairs bedroom on a sunny day so make sure to keep curtains closed where you can and get windows open once the sun moves round. Much used, steep road right next to the property can also mean noisy engines but as a base of operations located right by the beach, cliff top walks and near bars and restaurants it’s a great place to stay on the whole.

Stunning location and beautifully modern property. Very spacious, hardly used the lounge as spent most of the time in the sun room watching the world (and surfers) go by. We had a 2 year old and 3 month with us. Solid walls so no noise transfer, especially to the upstairs bedroom. Planned ahead and had supermarket delivery an hour after our arrival. Excellent bus service to explore the local area. Would love to return.

We spent 3 nights at this beautiful property, with a view like no other we have stayed in. The bungalow was spacious for our family of five, plenty of room (and a strong Wifi connection) for two teens and a ten year old. Stunning walks on the doorstep and great independent eateries and shops close by. Host&Stay were on hand throughout our stay and were quick to resolve problems with the heating and hot water on our first night, providing a short term fix within an hour of contacting them followed by a plumber's visit to fix the boiler the following morning. I hope we will be able to return to this beautiful part of the world in 2021 and would definitely stay here again. Thank you and Happy New Year.

Burnsyde is a very comfortable home in an envious location. The rooms are well sized and comfortable, the kitchen/eating space is well designed and perfect for a family. We loved sitting and watching the world go by with the binoculars provided.

Great house with a sociable layout. The ‘terrace’ room was the highlight with its lovely sea view and we also managed to sit out in the garden for lunch even in the last week of September. Facilities very close at hand too.

The location of Burnsyde is excellent in terms of proximity to beach and town and there are great views of the bay. There are many different seating areas outside and in, although the sun lounge would have benefitted from some blinds. The living spaces and bedrooms are spacious and well appointed, although the beds were too hard for our liking, hence the four star review. Saltburn is a lovely town with plenty to enjoy, both during the day and evening, and the house is a great base for a family holiday.

We came away on a girls trip so didn’t make much use of the garden but it would be perfect for people with children. Would love to go back with my husband and children as it’s perfect for a family. Our stay at the beach house was nothing less than perfect! An absolutely stunning house, the attention to detail in every single room was just outstanding. The location of the house was fantastic, waking up to the view of the beach was brill. The beach house provided the perfect location for a get together with friends and we are already planning our return next year. The house is just beautiful and the communication with Emily was excellent. The quaint town of Saltburn is lovely, great food, cocktail bars and a ride in the Victorian cliff lift is essential for any visitors! I can’t speak highly enough of the beach house and look forward to staying again :)

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Burnsyde Beach House, what can I say, what a beautiful property, we had the most amazing weekend and would highly recommend the property to anybody wanting to spend time in Saltburn. The property is perfectly located for the beach and town, superbly presented and Dale & Rachel are fantastic hosts down to providing milk to get you started when you arrive. Stayed as a family of 5 adults, 1 toddler and two small dogs, plenty of room and amenities for all of us. The sun room offers amazing views of the beach. We will be booking to return next year as soon as we have sorted a date out! Highly recommended. Thanks x

We loved our stay at Burnsyde. It was perfect for a family with a dog and toddler. Plenty of space to run around for the little one but lots of nice family spaces too. The view is spectacular and the surrounding area lovely. The decor is beautiful and everywhere was very clean when we arrived. Thanks we will definitely be back!

We had 5 nights in the beach house and really loved staying here - the location is superb, close to the beach and shops and a close walk to everything in town. The cottage itself is lovely, beautifully designed and decorated! The garden patio is lovely on sunny days and we enjoyed using the BBQ grill a few nights. Dale and Rachel were quick to reply with any queries as well - lovely hosts. When back up next we would definitely be back - recommend staying here!

This place is perfection. Every detail has been considered, the photos don't do it justice, it is absolutely stunning. The location is amazing, there is so much space and it is immaculately clean. We are already looking at when we can go back and I can't recommend it enough. We choose it for our baby moon as we wanted peace and relaxation, we had all of that but there are also lots of places to eat and drink. The fact it's dog friendly is the icing on the cake.

We absolutely loved our weekend stay at Rachel and Dale's place. The house is bigger than it looks in the pictures and there was more than enough room for the 5 of us. It is really​ tastefully decorated and has stunning views. We were delighted! We did a fair amount of cooking there as well and there was everything we could possibly need in the kitchen. Saltburn was also lovely - the beach/coast is amazing for walks and there are plenty of nice bars and places to eat. Highly recommended!

This is a fabulous property, extremely well decorated in a modern style. The panoramic views are spectacular across the bays and hillsides. The location of the property could not be more perfect - mere minutes from the beach, pier and cable car tourist sites and only ten minutes from the main conveniences of the supermarket and train station. There was plenty of room for our family of four. The bathroom and kitchen are well stocked with the basics you need and there is an honesty bar for wine, prosecco and chocolate. Dale and Rachel could not have been more helpful, giving us great restaurant tips. We really enjoyed our brief stay and hope to return.

This place is an absolute dream!! Apart from the breathtaking view of the beach, cliffs and sea, the house is very lovingly decorated and stocked with everything you could need. The kitchen is complete and high quality and stocked fridge, the bedrooms friendly, the living room large, bright and super cozy. The location of the house is perfect. You are right on the promenade and on the beach, but also in 2 minutes in the center of the village. Communication with Rachel and Dale was more than great. Direct answers and an answer to every question. I can only recommend the beach house to everyone!! It was a wonderful stay!
