The space
Boutique Balcony has style and class in abundance. This luxury holiday apartment is located in the historic Victorian Metropole Towers building, the ideal location for enjoying Whitby.Beginning in the open plan living and dining area, you’ll find a very impressive space. Two comfy sofas face each other so you can kick-back and relax in front of the flat screen TV or admire the feature slate walls that really stand out in this room. The space is complete with a glass dining table which can be found to the rear of the seating area.
Just off from here is the grey-themed kitchen which creates a cosy feel and contrasts beautifully with the clean, white wall tiles. You’ll have everything you need for your stay as the kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer and dishwasher.
The master bedroom is a clean and bright space featuring a double bed and a crystal chandelier which hangs above the real oak flooring. The neutral colour scheme creates a light and calming environment. A wall-mounted flat screen TV, a dressing table and bedside tables complete the room and add even more glamour.
Head to the second bedroom and you’ll find a bunk bed with a double on the bottom, and a single on the top bunk. This space could provide the perfect base for your children and teenagers who need a bit of their own private space throughout your stay.
In the bathroom you’ll find glossy wall tiles and shiny fittings. The room features a spacious shower along with a wash basin and WC.

We provide a parking scratch card for your stay which gives you free parking in the W zones.
Please note that Boutique Balcony is located on the third floor of the building.

Accomodation as described and in a great location to use as a base for all the local area has to offer. Building itself is showing its age but the flat has been done to a great standard and felt like a little oasis of calm from the very windy weather during our stay. Lovely welcome basket too. Would definitely seek out another stay through Host & Stay.

We stayed in this apartment for 2 nights and we were not disappointed. A beautiful place which was well catered for, clean, and spacious. It has everything you need, including tea bags, coffee, sugar, shower gels, cooking oil, milk sachets and dishwasher tablets. A basket of goodies had been left for us which was a really nice touch. It has a lovely view of the sea from the balcony, with the apartment being warm, cozy and homely. It is a short & pleasant walk down to the centre of Whitby along the sea front. It is Ideally located for exploring Whitby without the need to drive around & find parking. You receive a free parking permit which enables you to park right outside of the building so parking is not difficult or costly. An excellent stay, and would highly recommend. I would definitely return.

Overall we had a good stay. The location is great for the beach. The apartment is on the 3rd floor and is a good climb up about 70 steps. The lift wasn’t working for the first few days and a resident of the building advised us not to use it. The apartment was quite dusty when we arrived. The host offered a cleaning service that we declined, we just got on with it. We managed to park right outside the building which was good. Overall, good.

Apartment was in a nice location and the basics were fine. However, once booked I received a message saying in order to get the check in details I needed to pay either 1. £25 damage waiver which was non-refundable or 2. £250 security deposit which was refundable minus a £10 admin fee. There was a free car park outside the building, however, it was first in first served...so not a guaranteed carpark as implied on the listing. The hamper provided on arrival was a nice touch HOWEVER I would have preferred washing powder/detergent and more than 1 roll of toilet paper to be provided instead. We were given 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 people for 3 days and upon asking the Host, we were that was all they provided and that we would need to go and buy more ourselves - in the previous 12 months of travel this is the first place I have stayed at that I was instructed to buy my own. Table and surfaces needed to be wiped down on arrival before we could use them.

Dirty bedding, unmade beds, rubbish inc. dirty nappies left, wet towels on the floor - took hours to clean the property to a basic standard. Didn't sleep in the beds on the first night - had to go out & buy cleaning products to make the property habitable. Very poor communication from 'Host & Stay' - made no effort to resolve the issues. Shockingly bad!
