Location was great and the house is as described. I would recommend on this basis however, there were negatives to note. - no door on bathroom in upstairs bathroom so no privacy at all if sharing with another person. This was mentioned in reviews and they said they would look to improve this and they haven’t. - The kitchen appliances, cookware and all plates, mugs etc were all dirty. We had to clean everything before use. - the sofa had stains all over - They only give you 2 toilet roll between six people for a weekend - all towels had stains on them - weird missing items like oven gloves, tea towels etc.

Lovely accommodation with plenty of room in a great location for visiting saltburn. Close to a busy road but did not cause any issues onve once inside the property woth good soundproofing. Perfect for a family stay.

Great hotel let , we were a family or varying ages and it suited us all. Loved the little playhouse in the garden for our toddler was a lovely touch. Lucky to have sunny weather during our visit and enjoyed the luxury garden furniture. Felt very safe and secure and had everything we needed. Super comfy sofa too!

The bungalow was absolutely beautiful inside. Perfect layout for multi generational stay, the living area was open planned, and full of light and we were all able to be in the same room together. Outside space was lovely as it was sunny. It was a great location for getting to the beach by foot and a good supermarket a couple minutes walk away. Would highly recommend anyone staying here if they were staying in Saltburn by Sea.

Lovely place to stay felt very comfortable for family of 3 adults 2 bathroom was a must. Easy to find and great location for local wedding. Great communication from owners would definitely recommend and stay again.

Lovely place plenty of room for 4 adults. All nicely furnished and clean. The road was busier than we imagined particularly early morning. The garden area at the back gets the sun early in the morning and most of the day so was lovely to sit out in. Overall a nice sunny clean place would stay again.

Absolutely suited us. Well equipped. Enjoyed sitting outside- a real sun trap! Not too far to walk into the centre. En suite bathroom floor needs attention it was very creaky!

I had a few reservations about parking and traffic noise before arriving but I had no problems with either. Not far to walk into Saltburn. If you like the photos of the place then you will definitely like the cottage. Will be looking to stay again next year.

Really enjoyed our visit to Saltburn and the use of the lovely house, which had everything we needed. We visited various locations including the Saltburn tram, Hutton le Hole, Guisborough and Roseberry Topping (a must see for those who can handle the climb). Communication with the owners was extremely good (and swift). Instructions to get in (and leave the house) were clear. Everything was clean and the house felt more spacious than the photos let on. Dining area/kitchen was quite warm but we wondered if the many windows had something to do with this - however very much welcome after a cold day out exploring. Would highly recommend this property to others, thanks again.

We were attending a family wedding. The cottage was lovely. I was particularly impressed with bed linen which was of very good quality. The property was spotlessly clean and the location was great for us as only a short walk to the beach and 5 mins drive to wedding venue.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bankside Cottage. It's clean, spacious, well maintained and has a nice light living/dining area. It's within walking distance to the town centre and has a convenience store close by. Parking is on busy road outside the house but is plentiful. Communication from the hosts was excellent and check in very simple. The only suggestion for a slight improvement would be a welcome basket with bread, milk, coffee etc. We can highly recommend this property.

Beautiful bungalow within a short distance of the centre. The location and whole place was perfect, done to a high spec. The garden was lovely and perfect for our dog as it was enclosed. Instructions were clear on getting in and we were sent a guide of local things to do.

We liked Bankside Cottage and the host was extremely helpful. It’s immaculately done throughout and a nice place to relax at the end of a day. One point of note is that there is no door on the en-suite bathroom which was a surprise to find. Overall a very pleasant place to stay.

Clean and tidy house, was perfect for what we needed it for! Had a wedding to attend at Rushpool Hall, with it only being around a 10min drive, the taxi services were useful and cheap! Beds are comfy and all the amenities were very useful, great garden for a child to play in too

Bankside was beautiful and met all of our needs. Three gorgeous bedrooms. The whole house was furnished and decorated to a very high standard.. Fully functional kitchen. Easy walk down to Saltburn Pier. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants to choose from. The only downside was the on road parking but it wasn't a problem.

Bankside House is a pristine, spacious property, with easy access to town centre and promenade. Everything required for a home from home stay was provided and having to bathrooms, one unsuited was a bonus. we will definitely recommend the property for a comfortable stay.

Great location. Easy to walk to the beach and shops. Spa next door. Lovely decor. I personally think it could do with a few more curtains/blinds up in the lounge, twin room and dressing room to make it a bit more cosy. But it was a lovely place to stay. It is right on a busy-ish road and next to the freight line. The road gets a little quieter at night and the freight train only woke me up once in the two days we were there. It wouldn’t put me off staying there at all. But if you’re a light sleeper it might bother you more. All in all a lovely place to stay.

We had a great stay. Just a few point for . Improvement. 1. More tea towels. We only had one for a weekend with 6 people. 2. Hooks on the bathroom doors. 3. More choice on glassware. Would have been good to have some tumblers. 4. Downstairs shower/ bath water was not hot enough. Couldn’t have a bath.

My first impression of this property was that it was stunning. Decorated to a very high standard, beautifully clean, everything about the house was amazing including the garden which is totally enclosed and wonderful for the dogs. It is so easy to walk from the house to the town centre and the beach and all it's amenities. There is a supermarket 2 mins away too. If I had to pick a fault it would be the noise from the freight rail line, okay through the day but if you are a light sleeper (like us) it woke us up a few times. The only other thing is parking we parked in a nearby street as we weren't happy parking on the busy main road in front of the house.

When we arrived at the property, the key safe was not visible so it took us a couple of minutes to locate. Having entered the property, it was pristine. Very beautifully decorated with attention to all detail and felt very comfortable and easy to relax in. The guidebook did say there was a TV in each bedroom as well as the living room but this was not the case. The 2 ground floor bedrooms did not have TV's, even though pictures in the guidebook also showed there was The guide also states all towels are supplied. There was 1 bath towel each, then a hand towel and bath mat in each bathroom. It would have been nice to have a hand towel per person. As we didnt bring towels, there were no beach towels provided, which i understand as that is another expense for the host but maybe this could be specified in the guidebook. Another small suggestion would be to have a coffee machine. There were some pods in a jar but no machine. The filter pot leaked a lot. Lovely, relaxing property

Never been to Saltburn before or stayed at Bankside. Highly recommend both! The cottage is an excellent location just over a 10 minute walk to the centre and a little further to the beach. Spa supermarket two mins walk away. Uber taxi £3.75 from beach. The cottage was immaculately presented both inside and out. There was nothing lacking! Very comfortable. Excellent communications from owners. Private and quiet back garden. When booking we were a little concerned about the proximity to the railway and main road but these concerns were unfounded. Washing machine situated in outhouse but never used-always good to have one though! Would definitely stay at Bankside Cottage again. Thank you!

Well equipped property in a good location. Clean and spacious with a safe outdoor space for the dog. Comfortable beds and good quality bed linen and towels. Toiletries also provided which we didn’t use.
