Spacious lounge, log burner
Was nice that the property had a garden

Property was in need of a deep clean - multiple areas had clearly not been cleaned for some time including kitchen grill pan which was filthy, bath and windowsill in main bathroom was full of dust/debris, shower drain full of Hairs etc.
upstairs bedrooms felt damp and very cold.
Kitchen is in need of an update
No private parking
Several months after our booking was made, Host & Stay changed policy meaning a damage
Protection fee needed to be paid prior to arrival. This was communicated to me via booking.com
Messenger. I spent a significant amount of time on the phone querying this with booking.com
As at first it appeared this could have been a scam message.
They confirmed that although Host & Stay would require a £250 hold on my credit card for damage protection they would waive the £10 Admin fee that would normally be chargeable as I was not made aware of this policy upon booking. Host & stay also
Confirmed this to me via messenger. Low and behold after our stay only £240 was credited back to my account - Host & Stay had taken the admin fee after all. This then resulted in another phone call to booking.com and extra time Filling out forms on my behalf in order to Get this refunded to my account! Not very good customer service from
host & stay. I would not stay in one of their properties again due to this and lack of cleanliness in this property

Great location, little further out of Whitby town centre but worked well for us. Parking 3 cars was fine on the street outside. Only negative was the squeaky bed in one of the bedrooms meant a lack of sleep, would’ve been ok for 1 night but not great for any longer.

Good location, a short drive from Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay and next to a pub doing great food. Bedrooms had comfortable beds and lounge was well laid out for socialising and relaxation. Overall experience was let down by things that could be easily remedied with a bit more care from the owner. The house was not well stocked with things we needed. A shame because otherwise the house is good, including an excellent stove for cooking on.

We had a great stay at Atlanta cottage. The location was great for exploring the coast, only 10 minutes to Whitby and Robin hoods Bay.
The cottage was lovely and had great space for us all. The only thing I would say is that it needs a good clean. This did not take away from our stay however and we still had a great time. We just felt a little attention to detail was needed.
The garden was perfect, very secure and as we have a greyhound it was great for him to run around in.
We would stay here again if in the area, perfect for a family getaway.
