Very nice accommodation, ready for a refresh and deep clean and stains on the carpets (from previous) bathrooms needed more attention to cleaning and few marks on the walls etc but very nice layout and quirky

Thanks so much - we had a truly lovely time in Whitby and the view out of the living room window was just awesome (in the true sense of the word). Felt very fit after climbing up the hill from the old town a few times a day!! Beds were super comfortable and water was always hot. My only suggestion is some more hand towels along with the bathtowels. There were only two and so washing hair was a bit of an issue as we'd run out of clean ones! Thanks also for the very helpful guidance on access and reminder of departure time etc.

Blind cords too high,had to stand on the table to open and close blinds.very dangerous! only 3 mugs and 3 spoons. The cooker was dirty. only one loo roll for 2 bathrooms. This was however a perfect location and decorated stylishly. Not happy about the waiver you have to sign before they release the check in details.A deposit should be 100'/, refundable. They charge a £25.00 non refundable insurance fee or a £250.00 deposit which is refunded several weeks after your stay minus £10.00 admin.

Beautiful building on top of the cliff side, 5 minutes walk down hill/steps to the main Harbour & attractions. Modern rooms with everything you need. Clean and tidy. View from the lounge is perfect but the bedroom view was a bit disappointing. Could only see the brick wall and the overgrown weeds within the flower bed. Obstructed the view. Other then that amazing stay and we would definitely book again in the future but a floor higher. Thanks again from us all.

Brilliant stay, the host was full of information and guidance on how to check into the property. The property was everything we expected it to be. It felt very safe, secure and homely. We had a young child with us and it was great for them too, particularly enjoying that the bedrooms were downstairs ensuring a cool, peaceful nights sleep. Beautiful view and easily accessible to all the great activities that Whitby has to offer. Thank you for a great stay.

The apartment was modern and well laid out for a break. The lounge area had amazing views over Whitby bay. The basement bedrooms smelt a bit musty but I don’t think anything could be done about it. My only negative comment is that after I had booked and paid for the apartment,, I was then informed I had to pay an additional accidental breakage insurance before they would give me access codes. I already had my own (better) insurance, but they would not accept it. I felt that I was held to ransom by a hidden cost which I didn’t need and was not informed about until after I had entered into the agreement.

On the whole the flat was very good. Needs afew things freshener up. A broken socket which I have reported. Our main thing which we were not happy about was parking. Last year we stayed _ got a parking permit which was great & gave us stress free thinking about where we could park. We were told this is not available now but we found old permits from March? I'm sure most people would like this, even if you had to pay.

Excellent accommodation, location was fantastic. Would definitely stay again. Only confusion was with the address provided as it was listed as the Sandbeck which was another property around the corner. When we went there the owner said it happens all the time and he would look into getting it sorted. Other than that it was perfect and we would 100% stay again in future

On first impressions the property is well furnished and location is great, however the property is poorly maintained and full of mould which smelt all through the bedrooms. The bathroom was also mouldy and the carpet was not hoovered. There was dust throughout, and a bin bag had been left by the front door which was not a great first impression. Host&Stay were extremely reluctant to provide an adequate refund as we had to depart after the first night due to being unable to sleep in the bedrooms. Really unimpressed with the place and think it has such potential to be a beautiful holiday home but unfortunately is being poorly managed and maintained.

The place was lovely, well presented and immaculate. On arrival we were advised that a parking permit (scratch card) would be found in the property, no card found. I contacted the host and they said a card should be there, and ignored us, we did eventually find some where to park 15 minute walk back. However the worse was to come, we were woken up the following morning at 7:40am with knocking and drilling, sounded like major construction work on the apartment above, this continued for our short stay, which ruined our break there, we were forced to go out, because of the noise, a complete disrespect for us staying there. On our return home I contacted the Host and Stay, I never got a straight answer and different people would reply, poor communication between them, nobody taking ownership, I finally got to talk to them, and although polite, they were reading from a script!! All they offered was 15% off our next stay! Really! Full refund would be in order!

My mother and her closest friend stayed at Beach View, they had an awesome week there! Great apartment, spotlessly clean, two lovely bedrooms both on suite and you can see the sea from the living room. Great location as looking over the sea and close to Whitby. They loved their holiday there and would definitely visit again! I’d like too as well now!

Apartment is just like the pictures, on the beach front with stunning views. Little coffee shop directly across the road which is brilliant. Really clean, comfortable and spacious property. Host provided really clear instructions for the property and are really responsive. Brilliant at answering back at all hours. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The property matched the pictures, and the view was beautiful. It was fairly easy to find but not easily identifiable from the road. We had to message to receive our check in instructions as on the day of arrival, they had not arrived but they were quick to respond and once we were in it was well presented, however the decor definitely needs touching up, with obvious recently filled holes in the wall not yet painted. We discovered a dirty towel left on the back of the bedroom door, rusty accessories in the bathrooms, and mould in the shower. I lifted the ottoman bed up to locate an extra pillow and found it dirty and dusty, with empty drink bottles left behind. After also being blindsided by an extra damage waiver charge after booking that other reviews have mentioned, this didn’t leave us feeling pleased. You definitely pay for the location and the view, and we were disappointed given our previous experiences with host and stay have been very good with very high standards set.

Had a great few days in Whitby, the apartment was perfect and had everything we need. It was totally as described with a nice view of the sea from the living room window. Everything was spotlessly clean and well looked after. We parked right outside the apartment every day although it was not peak season so probably not like that all the time.

Lovely place and great location. Walking distance from everything you could need. Parking token was a great touch, but paid parking is available directly outside the apartment too which was good as we had two cars. Slight smell from the en-suite bathroom, but to be expected from a basement bathroom. Very comfy beds and spacious living/kitchen area. Would recommend.

Really lovely apartment, well designed and layout thought through. Location is great for exploring Whitby. A few minor changes would make it perfect- some missing kitchen utensils need adding and curtains at bedroom windows. The hosting company were easy to get hold of when we needed anything and check in and out was very easy.

We came for NYE 2022/2023 enjoyed it so much we wanted to stay longer. Lovely place perfectly situated in Whitby, close to the centre but not in the extreme busy part, close to the beach and amenities. Lovely view of the sea felt very peaceful, easy check in. Felt very homely perfect place for my boyfriend and I. We enjoyed the place so much we wanted to stay longer and was disappointed in the early check out as it was also a late check in. Slightly disappointed as I felt blindsided into the extra fee of £250 or £25 waiver. I know it was the time of year we went everywhere is expensive however it was slightly more than I thought with the cleaning fee on top as well as the extra damage fee. I would still stay here again as the location is perfect!!

Lovely location, walking distance to the whole area Sea view from the breakfast table which we don’t get at home. Clear instructions on accessing the building and our accommodation. Parking permit was Welcome and we managed to park out front to unload and then find a space for our entire stay. The accommodation itself was nicely styled and well equipped. First impressions could be improved (front garden / shared entrance).

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights and we absolutely loved it. The location is perfect as its right across from the ocean. We enjoyed breakfast every morning sitting at the dinner table facing the window listening and watching the waves. It is a very spacious and comfortable apartment but at the same time cosy as well. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals and also a dishwasher for easy clean up afterwards. The host were very responsive and provided plenty of information to make sure your stay was as straightforward as possible. It does not mention this on the actual apartment page but there is a deposit to pay. You only find out about it once you have booked which is a little disappointing. There are two options, you can either pay a £250 refundable deposit which they hold onto for 14 days or you pay a £25 non-refundable deposit. Overall, we were very happy to stay here and were a little sad to leave lol. Highly recommended.

A wonderfully clean, modern and comfortable apartment in Whitby. It was lovely having breakfast by by the bay windows with views of the sea. Everything in the apartment was thoughtfully laid out, we appreciated the effort that went into it. Wish we stayed longer! The host has been very thoughtful and left parking scratch cards, milk, ample toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, coffee, etc. FYI for future guests, you'll be sent a link to superhog for verification to complete with a non-refundable deposit for £10 taken, and also £250 which is supposed to be refunded later on. I didn't find out about this until we had already set off and spent the day frantically researching about superhog.

A beautifully styled rental in a fabulous location. Parking permit included which is a real bonus as all roads nearby are permit only. However there are pay and display car parks really close by. Thoughtful touches such as fresh milk, tea and coffee. Excellent, friendly communication. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Bright apartment with good access from the street, décor was good. As with most basement bathrooms, smelt a little damp however was not an issue. Host does need to clean outside the house steps, lots of old cigarette butts and rubbish, also congregated around the bedroom windows.

Check-in was smooth, clear instructions were sent to us by email. Communication was excellent throughout. This is a lovely apartment in the best possible location and the view is spectacular! We have really enjoyed our stay; it's just a walk across the road and down the steps to the beach and only 5 minutes into the town centre. The décor is modern and pleasant- well planned. The comfortable King-size beds in both bedrooms are a bonus. The kitchen is excellent, very well equipped and we liked the open plan design. I highly recommend Beach View and look forward to going again some time now that we've found it. Thank you.

This is a lovely flat right on the seafront. The location really couldn't be better with fantastic views and access to beach etc, but it was still nice and quiet as you're just out of the town centre. A 5 minute walk takes you to the bars and cafes. It's well equipped with all the amenities you could want. Do note however that they ask you to send personal information to a company called Superhog, even sending a text message with 'click this link' (really? in 2022). I got in touch to say I wasn't willing to hand over personal data electronically to an unknown third party and they said it wasn't compulsory. But worth being aware of.

Location and accommodation were great. We really enjoyed our stay. Beds are very comfortable and it warms up quickly with the radiators. Front door handles abit tricky, you have to pull it much farther down than expected, almost so tip handles touching the door frame so it took a few try’s to get in, but once you’ve got the trick it’s fine.

Stylish, modern and exceptionally clean apartment, with a view of the sea. Ideal if you don’t want to be in the middle of the town centre, with tourists staring in your windows! Yet it’s only a 10 minute walk to the ‘front’.

Beach View was a beautiful and relaxing place to stay, a stone's throw away from the beach. It was lovely having breakfast in the morning watching the sunrise and boats sailing past. When we arrived it was a bit early to check in so we parked in one of the two car parks opposite the property which it turned out were free to park in in the winter months (I think they start charging in March) so this was a nice surprise that we had no need to worry about getting the pass from the property to be able to park close by. There was milk in the fridge on arrival and teas and coffees in the cupboard along with a Nespresso machine so I didn't have to worry about stocking up on some essentials. Beds were comfy. A little soap, Conditioner and Shampoo were provided. Would book again, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Beach View is a great place to stay in Whitby due to its excellent location on the west cliff, within a stones throw of the iconic whale bones. The accomodation was very well thought out, nicely decorated and had every amenity you could need. The sea view is fantastic also, very calming. We had our two children with us; a 4 month old baby and 5 year old son, and the accomodation was well suited to our needs. We had a slight issue with the ensuite in master bedroom, but Airbnb compensated us for this inconvenience. Stay were very quick to respond to all communication.

Wow this place is absolutely lovely, 2 adults plus toddler- loads of space for us all. Clean, furnished really nicely and it was so nice and warm! Perfect location just across the road from the beach and easy walk into the town. We can’t wait to visit again in the spring!

The apartment was really lovely and clean - everything you need, including a washer dryer and a nespresso machine which was a lovely touch. As was the pint of milk waiting in the fridge for a cuppa! The apartment is right on the sea front with a coffee and ice cream shop across the road, and only a few minutes walk in into Whitby town centre. We stayed with two small children and there was so much to do within a walk of the apartment that we only drove to go to specific places further afield that we had planned for (Scarborough is about 30 minutes in the car and Robin Hoods bay is 10 minutes and really lovely!). We were worried about parking but it wasn’t much of an issue. Parking is free between 6 or 7pm and 9am right outside. We rented a parking space 10 minutes walk away for days we didn’t need the car, but it really wouldn’t have been too much of an issue. The machines accept card payments - only problem is you can’t pay for a full day but if you are staying local then that really isn’t an issue. We were always able to get a space when we wanted one! We will defo be back to Whitby and would be very happy to stay here again!

We loved this accommodation, such a great location and perfect in every way. The place was lovely, modern and clean with easy self check in. Great position on the West Cliff overlooking the bay and we were lucky enough to see some stunning sunsets. We especially loved sitting in the bay window with a glass of wine and a 'people watch' whilst the kids slept in the evenings. We will without doubt book this place again. Highly recommend
