Lovely accommodation in a lovely secluded spot, excellent property that has been built with a lot of thought and planning to a great standard. The outside area is enclosed with a great variety of wildlife which is priceless! The property has everything that you need for self catering and lacks nothing at all. The only thing needed is more of a deep clean as it wasn’t very clean.

What a beautiful place. Nice & quiet. Lovely to see all the animals! Nice location to visit places. Nice pub down the road we had lovely takeaway fish n' chips from the pubs fish shop! Just a couple of niggles Cleaning needs attention to detail!! There was a rip in the duvet cover! Looking forward to return! 😁

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in The Stable. The accommodation was clean, spacious, very well equipped and in an ideal location for exploring North Yorkshire. Host & Stay provided all the information we required. We recommend this property for a holiday and would definitely consider staying again.

The property is beautiful and very quiet, good kitchen and bathrooms, beds comfortable. Kitchen and one bathroom were not fully clean when we arrived, no wifi in the property - router has failed? Hard to get hold of Host and Stay (we arrived bank holiday evening) and then not resolved during our stay. You can get mobile reception to hotspot tether and use mobile data for internet, but I would not have booked it if I had known the wifi was down / was not going to be fixed for the duration of our stay. Host and Stay charge a premium of £25 in addition to the cost of booking. I don't feel like this is money well spent, the property was not fully clean and they didn't resolve our wifi issue. NB: if you do stay here, look out for the white duck who will come to the kitchen window demanding food! He's lovely.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay! The setting was absolutely beautiful and we loved the white duck who would regularly come and visit, such a character! There was lots of beautiful wildlife to watch from the windows. The home itself is in a beautiful building, very spacious for our little family of three and had everything we needed. We slept very well, beds were super comfy and rooms all had blackout blinds and curtains. Location was also great for a weekend stay at the East Coast, accessible to all main attractions and beaches in a 15 minute drive. We would.highly recommended and hope to come back again soon!!!

This was a very pleasant property. The kitchen was modern and well equipped, the furnishings (e.g. sofas and beds) were super comfortable. The living areas were spacious. The location is lovely. Really nice views, with some inquisitive resident ducks. It would be helpful if there was a photograph of the driveway provided in advance, as google maps took us up a neighbouring drive. The lane gets very muddy. A larger interior mat at the entrance way would be very helpful to enable muddy boots to be removed more easily. My only real gripe is the damage deposit. £25 for damage cover for a 3 day stay is very poor value for money, and only £500 is covered. You also have to do this process separately which is just time consuming. My advice is to include this £25 in the pricing and avoid adding on extras like this. I nearly didn't book the property because of this issue, and it was only because it was perfect for our requirements that I proceeded.

An incredible space! The Stables has a huge living room on the first floor - a really generous space with lovely views. A large kitchen and dining area too, we had local friends over for an evening and comfortably sat 8 around the table. An easy drive to Scarborough, Filey and Hunmanby. If you get sandy or muddy - do bring an extra rug or mat - the front door leads onto a beige carpet beyond the doormat. We had a lovely peaceful stay and the girls loved saying hello to the ponies each morning.

The views from the huge lounge windows are beautiful. 2 en suite bathrooms was a welcome bonus. We had a trio of white ducks who came into the yard at 6.30 pm every evening. Very funny, lovely for families with children.

The Stables is a great property in a great location. Spacious, very well equipped, beautifully furnished, all really high quality. Beds lovely and bathrooms excellent. Area is beautiful. Property is next to fields with horses, sheep, rabbits and ducks. Only issue was the lack of Wi-Fi. Not just a bit poor, or a bit flaky, just none existent. Difficult with a daughter revising for GCSE’s!! 4g signal was not great, which is perhaps to be expected from the beautiful rural location. Led to a difficult time and stress all round.

We had a lovely week here. The accommodation is light and spacious. There is plenty of storage everywhere!! The kitchen is very well equipped. Both bedrooms have ensuite which is an added bonus. It was a great location for us visting various places around Yorkshire. The only fault we found was the wifi was very hit and miss in the evenings. Apart from that it was pretty perfect and we would definitely be staying again.

What a perfect location, not completely in the middle of nowhere but peace and quiet with all the things you need very close by, supermarket, pub and restaurants very nearby. Great location for The Moors or beautiful coastline and York an hour away. The very well equipped kitchen was very good and the bedrooms are on the ground floor both with generously sized en-suites. Just wished we could've stayed longer!

A great place to stay. exactly as per the photographs! huge living areas, lovely and clean with plenty of kitchen equipment! nice and quiet with loads of room outside for the kids to play. well placed for visits to surrounding towns and a large supermarket less 10 minutes drive away. would definitely stay again!

lovely cottage, the children loved watching the sheep, lambs, rabbits and ponies from the living room and grounds. Lovely and clean with great access to the coast. Only note would be the Wifi was poor. Not a problem for us but could be if you wanted to use it.

A great base which made for a fab couple of days. We had a lovely restful break, and there was plenty of space for our teenage boys to spread out and relax too! The rooms are really comfortable and the living space upstairs is a real bonus. A lovely, peaceful, luxurious property - we are definitely going to return.

Great property. Peaceful, lovely surrounds. Accommodation was clean with all you could need for a stay. Less than a 10 minute drive to Filey beach too. Would stay again.

Lovely accommodation, very clean and tidy. Really well equipped and very spacious. Wi-fi worked well for us. The pub close by has excellent food and the accommodation is ideally located to travel to most of the North East Coastal resorts. We would happily return.

We had a fantastic time for my girlfriends birthday, staying here whilst visiting Whitby and Robin Hood bay. Location is fantastic, plenty of space and very clean. Would definitely recommend!
