The beach house was perfect for what we needed. Somewhere walkable to the square and the beach. It was a lovely stay all in all. Looking at previous reviews, I do agree that things could need a bit of updating like the living room carpet. Also when we pulled the coffee table back to make room, I can’t say it was hoovered too well. It didn’t affect our stay though, everything else was great. We Found the on road parking absolutely fine. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Thank you for having us :)

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this house. Absolutely love Marske and this house is so well placed for the beach. Literally a short walk down the road. Our dog even walks straight in now, doesn't need to be shown!! a great base for us to visit our daughter too who is around 20 minutes away.

The parking is terrible ,yes the listing says park on road, but the owner needs to be honest. It's terrible . Overall the house needs attention to detail and some repairs (money spending) . Living room carpet stained, cuddle sofa warm out. Kitchen lacking baking trays (only 1 dirty tray found), knife blunt and no bread knife. Dinning chairs wobbly and have been badly repair before. Outside light (front & back) don't work) garden swing chair is dangerous and upset my grand daughter as we would not let her on it. Front double bedroom blinds don't open (broken) . Stains on furniture, wall paper torn in several places. The pictures make out this place is bright and has a great garden , well the living room has been re-decorated and Is dark, the outside is worn out with the back gate latch not working (unsafe) and the bolt hard to move,chairs dirty and no chimney as shown in pictures and very dark at night due to no lights. Living room TV has poor sound due to tinny sound. Need re-fern

location great, so close to the beach. house had an unusual odour around downstairs bathroom area. we bought air fresheners & candles to mask the smell. carpet in lounge was well stained. everything above eye level was dusty. cleaning overall including dirty fridge. had to buy wipes to clean including kitchen table. however we still had an enjoyable stay

Booked this last minute to get away. Perfect little spot to access Saltburn. We didn't try the local beach which is walkable, but it had easy access.

Lovely place for our family to stay for a couple of nights away. Bathrooms were beautiful and modern. The only thing is that one of the bedrooms blinds are super thin so bring black out blinds if you can.

Great location in Marske, close to beach and town. Comfy and clean beds, good layout in kitchen and in to private outside area. Shower and bath facilities were good too. We were disappointed with the level of cleanliness, especially on the carpets, which were covered in pet hair, both downstairs and upstairs. Considering the added cleaning fee, this was surprising. I enjoyed Craig’s coffee and Pastries and base restaurant’s food was great. The beach was good but unfortunately there were a lot of inconsiderate dog owners not cleaning up after their dogs.

Very relaxing stay at The Beach House. Easy to find, no problem parking, and great location for walks on the beach and setting off on trips. Would heartily recommend, especially to those who wish to take their furry friends

This is a lovely quirky little place. Decor was unusual and budget but very family friendly. Beds were very comfortable although some new pillows wouldn’t go amiss. I’d definitely go back on account of how close it was to the sea and how good the family friendly space is. Drawback was that the king size bedroom’s blinds are paper thin and therefore let in all the light which meant our baby rose at 5.30am each morning, I hastened to to add this was not the case in the other rooms but our party dynamics couldn’t account for this.

We were disappointed in this property that we had booked for a special celebration. The reality did not match the pictures advertised of it on the website. The cleaning staff have obviously tried their best but there are some significant maintenance issues. The carpets in the living room, stairs and landing were stained and there was a large damp stain in the living room. The effect of this was a very unpleasant dirty smell throughout the property even in rooms with hard floors. We communicated our concerns to the management company who were responsive. However, no offers of compensation were made and we left a day early. We feel that we were misled by the listing and I have no idea what the £90 cleaning fee on top of the rental goes towards. This place needs a lot of maintenance and a good deep clean and I don’t believe it should be offered for rental until this happens.

I sort of knew the area having been born just down the road in Saltburn but left as a child. Unfortunately, we were here for a family funeral but we were able to relax and do plenty of walking along the beach to Saltburn and Redcar. We had a lovely stay at The Beach House and the property and all the items that we needed to make our stay comfortable. The decor was nice and the area was quiet.. It was just what was needed.

The property was spotless and well prepared. Easy to find and plenty of on street parking. The 3 bedrooms were excellent, the beds very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, bathroom and shower rooms were excellent. The host was always responsive and everything I needed to know was emailed to me early or on a link. Wi-Fi was very good, the kids had lots of IT with them and the Wi-Fi had plenty of bandwidth. I thought this house was good value for money. The £90 cleaning fee was a little excessive, however I can imagine that some guests would leave the place in a mess. I’d return to this property and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to family and friends. Easily 5 Stars.

Had a lovely 5 days in the house, it’s in a perfect location, 2 mins walk to the beach and pub and a 5 min walk to the shops!! The house itself is lovely with everything you need (we didn’t have a bread knife or kitchen scissors but we managed) Having two bathroom’s was a big bonus with 6 of us!! It has comfy beds, great WiFi and all the little ornaments / pictures on the walls make it very homely. We especially loved the teddy door stop for the front door. The parking was on street but not always outside the property which wasn’t a major issue. We did get a note on the car for parking 6” over the wide road!! We were disappointed with Host & Stay as we messaged them when we arrived and there was no reply 24 hours later so I messaged again and it was another 24 hours for a reply, this was an auto reply and I was told to refer to the house manual which I’d obviously already done and so still didn’t have the answer to my question!! Not to worry tho we still had a great time!!

Very quiet street and so close to the beach! The beach itself was lovely and not at all busy. Lots of room in the house with beautiful bright light. The yard at the back was a perfect comfy sun trap. The kitchen area was large and roomy but perhaps a little under stocked with essentials- no cafetière, no kitchen scissors and few ovenproof dishes. Both bathrooms were great and the bath sheets were wonderful. The lighting in the main bedroom was disappointing as there wasn’t enough light to read at night (pretty bedside lamp but didn’t throw out light- main light dim as well.) No hanging space for clothes in main bedroom. We appreciated all the wonderful decorations throughout the property and the quirky signs in the yard. An enjoyable 3 night break- thank you!

We did enjoy our stay we just thought it could have a little more attention on the cleaning and hoovering side the bedding and towels were spotless but the tea towels were clean but full of stains carpet did have a few stains in the living room and landing a lot of pictures and ornaments gathering dust the bathroom were lovely especially the shower room The house is in a great location and has everything you need

We had a great few days stay, was a bit annoying that next door but one we’re having work done, so a lot of drilling etc and the skip is right outside this house! Loved the proximity to the beach and to the town. The back yard is a sun trap hardly used the living room. Would stay again.

Fabulous location with nice gardens nearby, less than a minutes walk to the beach & not far from Saltburn which is lovely. Stunning walks nearby on the coastal path, beach was so quiet too. We loved our stay & will definitely be back!!

We had a very happy time, the weather was great, and the house clean and as described and in the most wonderful position - quick walk to beautiful beach and very quiet road. Just a few extras would have made it a top rated experience. ;-Hooks on the back of the back bedroom door so there is somewhere to hang hangers; bedside tables; waste-paper baskets; and in the kitchen a cafetière would have made coffee making much less messy; bottle holder in fridge broken; ice cube maker(left one there) a proper roasting tin; the knives were v.v. Blunt, and although there were lots of saucepans there was not a big one, for say boiling pasta for 6. The house came up to our expectations and these suggestions are only to be helpful obviously!

My husband and I (and our 2 dogs) have relocated to the UK and stayed at this property for 5 weeks while we got our bearings and secured a more permanent place to live. From walking in the door, this house felt like home. It is fitted with everything you might need for a short stay or a longer one. You are steps away from the beach and lots of wide open green spaces which has been lovely for the dogs; and minutes away from the main square. The neighbors are wonderful and it’s a quiet and beautiful street and there is nothing you would want for staying here. Host & Stay has been great to work with - I know some people are hesitant to work with 3rd party agencies, but I have to commend H&S for their quick communication. We didn’t need to contact them in regards to any issues with the property, but we did request to extend our stay which was achieved easily. The house is spacious and comfortable- great for families or groups of friends looking to be by the beach. I would highly recommend this property.

The shower room had a damp smell. The kitchen had only one tea towel, the oven was not very clean at all, so much so that we didn't even consider using it. The fridge had bits on the inside and could have been wiped clean more thoroughly. Both TV's worked OK until the night before we departed,so we were left with just channels 1, 2, & 3. We did call to discuss matters and they said they could send the housekeeper out (during our stay) but we declined as it should have be done prior to our arrival. We left the property one day before we were due to leave.

Beach House is in a great location for walks along the beach and access to Saltburn by the sea. Local facilities were more than adequate, especially the lovely bakery, Craig’s nearby. The house was well equipped, comfortable and exceptionally clean.

A really lovely holiday home just a couple of minutes walk from Marske beach. The house was immaculate when we checked in, with contemporary decor and a great selection of utilities. We would really recommend this stay and if we are able to visit the area again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay in the same property.

Lovely place in a great location-only 5 minutes’ walk from the beach and half hour walk to Saltburn. Really comfortable house with pretty secure garden (great for our dog), lots of space and well equipped. Parking is slight issue as it’s a narrow road and first come first served, we struggled with our camper van and weren’t able to park directly outside.

The communications with the owners was detailed and prompt. The house is in a lovely location. So close to the beach and in walking distance to the local shops and pub. The accommodation was exactly as shown in the photos and everywhere was clean and bright. The beds were comfortable and the bedding and towels were lovely. There was plenty of room for four adults and two children. The bathrooms were great. The shower downstairs was amazing!! We all loved this place and we are hoping to return again soon.

The beach is literally at the end of the road and the rear yard is a definite sun trap if you’re lucky enough with the weather. Parking can be an issue, we dropped lucky on 2 of the nights but the 1st night we arrived we had to carry the bags about 100 yards up the road in the rain as there was nowhere nearer to unload. Overall a really nice house, well finished and a comfy place to stay.

We stayed at the Beach House this Christmas and we cannot recommend it more! The location to the beach is incredible and it’s just round the corner from the local pub and amenities! It has everything you need and it really is home from home. It is thoroughly warmed throughout so no need to mess around with heating settings and the kitchen is the perfect entertainment space. The front room is extremely cosy and the fire is awesome! This place literally has everything you will need and more including strong WiFi! Amazing place and we had a truly wonderful stay! Would most certainly recommend to others and would definitely return!

This is a gorgeous house. We went with our 12 and 14 years old plus a dog. It has got everything you need. Even milk in the fridge which was a nice touch. Not even 5 mins walk to the beach. Dog was allowed off lead it was that close. Very clean and smells lovely. Beds are comfortable. Great strong shower plus a separate bath. If you do have a dog this is great because the back garden is safe and they won’t get out.

What a GEM! A beautiful comfortable property within easy access to a great beach. All the amenities you need and more! Excellent communication for arrival and departure. Easy street parking. Local shops and a gorgeous beach walk to Saltburn was a treat! This really was an excellent holiday home, highly recommend.

Great spacious house with quirky decor and everything we needed for the weekend ! Dog friendly and 1 minute from a fantastic beach, with long beach walks and / or cliff walks in both directions. On the England coastal path walk. Not crowded or “touristy” just great ( and within distance of other great places if we’d had a bit longer! Recommended!

The Beach House was such a beautiful home for our weekend in Marske and Saltburn. Within minutes we were on the beach and our mornings and evenings were filled with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets on the sand. Without a doubt the garden is one of the best features of this stay, complete with darts board, cute swing bench, and a shed full of games. We are already talking about coming back here for some more summer fun in the future!
