Great location and accommodation.
We spent a lot of time out exploring, but this was a great base for our visit.
3 lovely big double rooms (one can be converted to a twin) and 2 bathrooms.
Well stocked kitchen and a TV with Netflix etc for rainy days and early lazy nights after all that exploring.
The location is just on the quiet edge of Whitby, but only a 5 mins walk to the pubs, supermarket, shops, takeaways, bus station and restaurants.
The only negative was after a 3hr drive I had to go out and get milk and tea bags for a cuppa. I've suggested to the host that a few tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk cartons would be a welcome sight on arrival - and they are taking this onboard. 👍

The house did look like the photos but it was lacking finishing touches & didn’t feel homely. There was a noticeable damp smell downstairs. Location was excellent, couldn’t ask for better, everything walkable.
Nothing was left for you such as washing up liquid, hand soap, extra bin bags etc so that was a bit disappointing. No shower in the en suite so essentially there is 1 shower between 6 people & the bed is 2 singles pushed together
The main thing we were surprised at was the annex flat attached to the home - we didn’t think this was mentioned? Someone was in it on our last night and we could hear doors banging/smell cigarette smoke.
Don’t book this place for the parking as it was terrible. There isn’t on street parking as suggested by other reviewers close by. We struggled the whole week with other people parking in the allocated spaces.
Overall we had a good week but wouldn’t book this place again sadly :( don’t normally like to write negative reviews but felt disappointed

We had a wonderful stay over Halloween. Fell in love with Whitby and the location of this property was perfect. Helpful hosts and the property was immaculate, but still homely for 2 children and a dog! Thanks for having us and we hope to return!

Property was in a perfect location right in the centre. We did notice a damp smell in the property which was off putting, it also could do with a freshen up in regards to paint work and a deep clean but we had a pleasant stay.

Lovely place, within an easy walk to the town centre. Very clean and spacious for all 6 guests.
Expect to find other on road parking (easy enough) or walk down to the train station parking, only £10 for 24 hours. The spaces outside were occupied for the two days we were there, but there are plenty of other options a short walk away.

On the plus side the accommodation is in a very central location and fairly well appointed. However there were a quite a few negatives for us. As we have two young children, we primarily picked this accommodation because it was supposed to have a washer and drier. Unfortunately it had neither. The parking was also extremely limited, was unavailable the entire stay and the closest alternative parking was 10 minutes walk away. The place could also use a good dust and there was a smell of damp in the kitchen. We loved Whitby and will definitely go back but wouldn't stay at this accommodation.

Living room carpet was wet and needed hoovering but no hoover available. Upstairs bedroom floor was dirty and my nephew got a dirty top. The outside bin was full so couldn’t dispose of rubbish. The house smelt like cigarettes and there were fag ends in the plant pot by the front door. Shower is broken, can’t adjust height. Emailed about a bag we left (3times) and am yet to find out if it has been found. Someone not connected to the property parks outside the house so you can’t. Had to pay for parking 10 min walk away.
However, ideal location, and spacious living room and bedrooms.

After booking and paying for the stay I received an email asking for either £25 non returnable (Mandatory) insurance or £250 bond which was fully refundable? (less the £10 admin fee which is not mentioned on the site) I don't like the way this was done, they should be upfront and add the fees to the booking fee so travellers know what they are paying for, or mention it in the booking page write up.

Location is ideal for walking into town, can park the car outside the property which is also a bonus. Have stayed here before so would definitely return again and recommend to others. House is clean and cosy, well decorated throughout and homely so you feel like you can really relax there. Bedrooms are big and airy with plenty of storage space and beds are comfy. Shower is lovely as well. Nice big kitchen with a table for 6 and plenty of plates, mugs, cutlery, etc with dishwasher to use and full size fridge/freezer, a real home from home. Especially love the gothic bat hanging outside the kitchen window - went to a few shops round Whitby to see if I could buy one, but couldn't get one. Overall, a really nice house, perfect for couples and families alike.
Nothing to do with the house but had an issue getting the key code for the lock box : had to phone on the day as no info had been emailed. Said the code hadn't been sent as no damage deposit had been paid. This had been paid over the phone 2 months before but because the email link hadn't been used, they had no record of it (I had an email confirmation the day I'd paid it). Felt like we'd been held to ransom a little bit to be honest. Oven needs a service as it doesn't work properly. When turned off, it is on No 2 instead of '0' and only worked at full flame too. I did leave a note on chalk board in kitchen. Knives need sharpening (silly thing but when you're trying to cut carrots, a sharp knife helps.

We had a fantastic stay at this house. we're a family if 5 including an 8 month baby and 2 teenagers and we had everything we needed and plenty of space. Everything was clean and tidy and the instructions from the host were really clear.
The location was perfect, in short walking distance of the harbour and amenities including a large co-op. Despite other reviews, we found it really easily and whilst parking directly outside wasn't possible, we got parked just round the corner with no problem.

Location was good
Cold. Had to spend £50 for three nights on logs as central heating was set too cold to get the property warm irrespective of thermostat. Also because boiler set to such low temp, warm tepid water was only available in the shower. Also, cheap mattress used, so beds uncomfy. Cheap bed frames also cheap so noisy springs when moving at night.

Lovely house only thing i would say is leave enough for a few fires for guests to use wood burner along with getting a stronger hover as there were dog hairs on the downstairs carpet so gave me allergies
Also the first floor king room needs bed side table lights

Lovely location. Nice property, perfect t for our needs. Parking is a little tricky. Generally clean and tidy and great facilities. Nicely decorated. There was an over powering smell in the property downstairs. Overall we were very pleased and would certainly return based on the location alone!

Good location, large and spacious bedrooms
Entire downstairs stunk of wet dog, it was all over the sofas and impossible to avoid the smell.
Also beware on the "adminstration charge" of £10 which you have to pay AFTER booking it with no cancellations allowed. This fee isn't mentioned on the site (at least it wasn't when I booked). Ridiculous charge for absolutely nothing.

The house was beautiful! The bedrooms were all very comfy and the living space and kitchen were great!
The check in and check out time were too late and too early. I believe 6 hours is a lot more than enough time to clean even if one person does a few units. The house when we arrived had someone staying in it which was no fault of anyone but when we were told the house had been cleaned again and we could get in we found a dirty bowl with beens in it in the microwave and nail clippings around the coffee table.

The property was in a perfect location in Whitby, very quiet.
There was parking right outside the door.
The rooms were all very spacious and comfortable.
The kitchen was like a home to home.
Linen was fresh and spotless.
Ease of check-in check-out was fantastic.
Couldn't use the back exit due to it being co-owned with the neighbours.
Will definitely book again through this company. Host and stay.

Overall, not impressed.
Brill location, clean facilities, beautiful house, but the following managed to annoy all 6 of us:
No heating on upon arrival, very cold, temp at 15 degrees. So we turned it on, only to find it didn’t work as all radiator valves were also off/set to 0.
Log burner didn’t come with prodding tools as a basic, never mind matches, newspaper, kindling, or logs.
Cleaners came a day early, no problem but they refused to accept we had it booked for another day. They rudely proceeded to tell us to leave and even got their manager on the phone who was telling us the same. Had to prove our booking by showing them the email confirmation.
No dishcloth, sponge, oil, salt or pepper - the basics.
The following are just annoyances:
Robotic response from admin team, new person each message.
Gas oven - not electric or fan, and would often go out mid-cooking.
Plug socket locations in bedrooms, can’t use phone in bed, need extension lead or long cable if desired.

The house was beautiful. Roomy. Perfect location. Nice big kitchen for us to cook in. Enough bathrooms. Roomy bedrooms. Couldn't fault the house or location. Perfect.
I think the only things missing were dishwasher tablets (we didn't see any) and wood to burn on the log burner. It would have been nice to have a small amount of wood provided. We rang up to ask for advice on where was best to get some wood and over two phone calls, both people (although very pleasant) were not from the area so couldn't help. We eventually found some though in the local nearby co-op.

Lovely place, situated close to the centre. It was clean, nicely decorated and the rooms were great. It wasn’t as picturesque as some parts of Whitby & only got parked outside the property for one of our days. The tv didn’t work which was disappointing when the weather was dreadful & we spent more time indoors than anticipated. However, the maintenance team came out to sort it fairly quickly once reported which was a relief!

This cottage was beautiful and in an excellent location. The rooms are large and bright and the living room and kitchen perfect for family’s. Two bathrooms is also really handy if there are quite a few guests. There is enough parking for two cars. The 25 pound damage deposit is a little bit annoying as the property is already quite expensive but you just have to factor this in when booking.

The house was in a lovely area and access was easy
The hosts had left plenty of crockery and glasses as well as other supplies
Loved the log burner and stash of wood
Could have done with a couple more toilet rolls and maybe a second shower in the top bathroom as shower times with 6 adults was a bit slow

The property is in an excellent location, just a short walk from all the amenities.
The beds were comfortable and all three rooms were spacious with double beds.
The house was pleasant and clean with everything you needed for a short stay.
Parking could potentially be an issue, someone had parked across the reserved parking for the property the entire stay, but a lovely neighbour said we could park outside their house. Which was really kind.
The light fitting made a noise in the main front bedroom on the first floor when someone moved around in the attic room. I think this could easily be fixed though.
A bright outside light, which doesn’t belong to the property shone all night, lighting up the second double bedroom on the first floor. I’m not sure if the owners could kindly ask for this to be switched off at night, as it lit up the entire room.

Lovely and clean, very spacious, lovely big bathroom with roll top bath.

The downstairs rooms had a damp issue and smelled fusty. We could not use the living room or kitchen for this reason. There were slug trails on the carpet when we woke after the second day, at this point we cut the trip short and headed home. There was also continuous barking from a dog next door.

The property was amazing, spotless and exactly as shown on the pictures.
Perfect location for us & great facilities.
Will defo be looking to stay again I the future!
The bed in the higher bedroom as was 2 singles pushed together, they we quite squeaky due to the bed frames being made out of metal and the mattresses weren't as comfy as the other rooms.

cleanliness, location and spacious. Very well equipped kitchen.
The bed on the top floor, uncomfortable and noisy. Would also prefer one bedroom with twin beds would make it more desirable for some groups of people. A washing machine would be a great asset and stronger kitchen utensils very flimsy.

Had a lovely stay, however the parking situation wasn’t made clear and it was very hard to open any of the windows apart from the top room. Also, there was no note about the area behind the kitchen being accessed by other people, quite a shock when I was on my own to see someone arrive in the house- if they are linked it should maybe be mentioned.
But thank you for a good stay

we moved the second sofa during our stay from under the window so it was facing the TV. This also prevented drafty viewing of the TV on a night as the sofa was no longer in front of the window.

Great house in the centre on Whitby. We stayed with our two children and small dog and the house had loads of space for all of us and everything needed to make you feel at hone. The centre is a couple of minutes away with all its small shops, cafes, etc and quite a lot was open. we loved walking along the beach to Sandsend for lunch. Make sure you check closing times if you want to eat out as a few places stop serving early out of season.

Lovely property, great location. The house was well equipped with comfy beds and furniture. Very central to the two, only a short 5 min walk to the harbour. Only point there were no cleaning products left in the property, the house instructions stated there would be.

But ambiguous listing meant we expected outside space. And the parking was tricky. No outside space makes it very hard when you have a family who is back from the beach! On the plus side, location couldn’t be better and the house is very good. Be great to have had a washing machine, again, easier with family

The property was lovely and had no issues with getting in settling. We had a lovely time.
Parking is so hard though and maybe worth making this more open in the ad.
Other things to note where that having pets and no garden made it very hard work as had to go out very early with them to find grass.
Finally the big kitchen utensils where so flimsy making them very difficult to cook family meals.
Great location though and very clean!
