Nice room. Looked modern and fresh.
Had everything we needed.
Mix up with the cleaning rota for our room but was rectified. The damp smell is a massive problem. Very uninviting. Made our clothes smell damp. Really off-putting
It's really hard to find. Need to put a sign on the gate or at the house side. It's really confusing.

Very comfortable accommodation .
Very spacious
Felt safe as a solo guest
Many emails received from the managing company .
Maybe a light at the door would help

The location was a short walk to the harbour, plenty of places to eat and drink.
The only thing I was more surprised about was, after a long drive I was desperate for the toilet and there was no toilet paper. It's just a simple request to provide at least 1 roll.

Property accommodation situated in private and quiet area but very central to main high street.
Very cosy and clean studio appartment, big enough for 2 people and possibly 1 dog. Had basic facilities but enough for everything needed for stay
Parking facility outside property is big bonus 👍
Property hosts also kept in regular contact to reassure our stay and left contact details if any help needed during our stay.
To access property, need to enter via back gate. Very conscious that having to walk past private family house and their garden, which I felt little uncomfortable and was intruding on their property to access studio accommodation.

Clean, smelt lovely, had all the basics needed.
Parking is a bit awkward.
Areas behind cupboards need a clean.
Could do with some token bottle of water or coffee/milk/sugar sachets on arrival.

Be aware of additional charges.
Pros: great prime location in Whitby, walking distance from the harbour. Check in whenever, we arrived late so this was great.
Cons: additional charges after booking. You have to pay a fee of either £25 or a £250 deposit WITH a £10 fee. This is hidden deep in the listing, would not have booked if we’d known. This is the first property I have come across with this.
Property had a pet smell, there was a plug in to try and cover the smell but it was very noticeable. And there were cobwebs over most fixtures.
Overall, it’s good for a quick stop to Whitby and maybe just needs a little TLC, especially if charging extras fees.

The location of this flat is ideal for a look around Whitby as its within a short walking distance of the town centre.
The hidden cost of a deposit against damages which I've never had to deal with in 20 years using Booking.com. The foam mattress was awful and there were cobwebs. Which is rich for a crowd so particular that their guests be meticulous.!!There is only a microwave for cooking, and they are not being totally honest about free parking available on site. I had to park at the harbour carpark as there was no space for me to park near the flat on the second evening. And I thought it extremely bad that there was not even a soap dispenser or washing up liquid provided even though they expect you to leave the place as you find it. Thsts just tight!!. Will stay away from this Host & Stay crowd in the future.

The property is very close to the main high street of Whitby.
There is minimal parking, wardens are incredibly keen which made loading/unloading very difficult. This is a dog friendly property but you have to walk through a shared garden with a large Akita dog that barks constantly on your journeys through.

We'd stayed here before when I believe it was brand new is less than 5 minutes walk to the town and in a great location not too much of a hill to get to the apartment which whitby is obviously very hilly so was alot easier
We liked everything the extractor fan didn't seem to work very well so a little steamy after a shower but not a big issue... again carpet could do with a vax but apart from that it's perfect for couples (obviously to be expected with a seaside destination ) neighbours at No1 are great people and friendly always nice to talk to on the way out

Compact, clean, central, parking.
The accommodation is cold. The central heating is controlled remotely by the owner. It was on when i arrived and warmed the room. I assumed it would be on a timer during my stay but, long story short, l was told that I would have to request to have it turned on. After a lot of over and back, I ended up using the tiny fan heater in the apartment. Not appropriate during a cold spell.

Location was the best thing about my stay
Check in was a nightmare. Granted I hadn't read through the full guide they emailed me but I had the address on the confirmation. After parking outside the address, 90 mins and 4 phone calls (including an email with a picture of the front door i was outside of) someone come and took me to the correct address at the back of the property. Not once did any member of staff tell me I'm at the wrong door (there are 2 number 4s)The £250 deposit you have to put down is a joke and to then wait upto 10 days after to get it back is terrible. If you are over 6f3ins tall you won't be able to stand up straight due to the low ceiling in the property

Warm, clean, central location, dog-friendly, WiFi good on first day. Lots of towels, comfortable bed

Nice clean cozy accomodation, bed a bit hard but you can't have it all.
Being asked as soon as payment went across that I needed to pay a 250 pound deposit for any damages,or a one off payment of 25 pound to cover damages up to 500 pound, surely insurance would have been in with total cost, having to pay 18 for parking as there was no parking,WiFi not so good.

It was close to the centre of Whitby. Comfortable couple sized studio.
Clean and attractive decor.
Difficult to find at first. Directions unclear.
WiFi was unreliable at times. There were a large number of flies on the door to the outside which meant they came into the studio - unless time was spent getting them out.

Location
When we was looking for a place to stay, we look at a property with a garden as we had a dog.
When we arrived we found out that we was not allowed to use the garden area.
This was very disappointing to us as we would have sat outside.
This was not mentioned in the description for the property.
If I know before I went I would have looked for another property.

The property was clean, well decorated and an excellent base to stay and explore Whitby and other areas. Nice size. Great location too
Going through the back gate across other peoples gardens who had big dogs which barked aggressively at us as we tried to get in and out of the property.

The location was fine,
Room was clean, with all facilities in the kitchen/ bathroom..
Access was Ok
The main stipulation was, that afer the booking was accepted,we were informed that an extra damage deposit of 250 pound
is required upon arrival or a damage insurance of 25 pounds (none refunable) on tope of the initial booking!
This effectively increased the cost of the stay from what had been advertised !
As it was too late to start looking elewhere we reluctatly paid this extra charge !
A single (Small) wardrobe , only large enough for 1 x persons clothing, it also snagged the carpet, we had to lean against it to open the door.
Tried many time to get the TV to work, it kept saying no internet, after findiing a swiching on the internet, the TV stiil would'nt work,.
Only one beside cabinet on one side of the bed.
There was a parking spot 'Maked'' No 4 Pricess Place, but there was also a ''House with No 4 Princess place'' so no parking !
Shower curtain, not a screen or door, very unconfortuble showering (we thought curtains had gone out a few years ago)

Right in the center of Whitby great location minutes walk to the town... Nice little apartment... were looking at coming back for a week over Christmas... although this apartment might be a stretch as there is no oven or hob top to cook on so will need to plan out food a little but 99% of the time we eat out and have a simple breakfast anyway...
The neighbours were lovely aswell... we knew the rules of its not a communal garden before hand!
There is parking outside but it's first come first serve with another house tbh we didn't want to irritate anyone and it's £6-9 for 24hr parking 5 minutes walk away at the co op near the harbour... there is also a 1hr max stay just on the corner which came in handy for unloading and loading the car
We already knew about the ceiling heights being low I'm 6"3 and tbh it wasn't too much of a hinderance

It was a great location very close to the town centre.
Grear for just a couple of nights for a couple who maybe jst want to have a cofee and cerael toast or simiar and be out most of the time,
It was very clean adn comfortable
There were no arm chairs or sofa, so we had to sit on the bed to watch the TV.
We couldn't connect to the wifi despite the password being available. (this wasn't an issue for us but may have been for someone with very little data,)
It was dod friendly, however there is no where suitable close by to let the dog of for a late night wee. The place had an enclosed garden which we weren't allowed to use. So we had to go out onto the street to allow them an early morning wee. This wasn't clear on the infrmation and may be useful for others bringing dogs.

Bit tricky to find. As tucked away behind a back garden gate. Two number 4s. One a Town House at the front then the studio behind. At first we thought we were double booked. Bit stressful.

The location is prefect for exploring Whitby, just a short walk from the centre. The place is clean and comfortable, just what you need for a weekend away.
it wasn’t clear that there was a townhouse and a studio both with the same number, which back onto each other, it needs a sign to clearly separate the townhouse to the front and the studio only accessible from gate entrance around the back, also it shouldn’t state parking as we was unable to park during our whole stay.

A fantastic little hideaway close to Whitby centre.
Loved everything about it, clean, well decorated and had a homely feel to it. The online guide was very helpful and made communication with the host directly unnecessary. All the pubs and restaurants were in short walking distance. We managed to park for both nights and days without any issue, once a short walk and the second night in one of the 2 reserved spots.
Some suggestions:
Air fryer for cooking perhaps
A better shower
Maybe a small sofa or chair to relax in.
We would use this place again for sure.

Accommodation was very nice, local to town and beach.
Ideal for the 2 of us and our dog
Although the accommodation is dog friendly ,the exterior and approach to the property is not!
When we left yesterday the one resident was quite rude that I hadn't immediately shut and locked the gate .... I had a bag in one hand and was holding my dog on lead in the other whilst waiting for my partner to lock property up.

Great location and managed to get the free parking at the front of the property.
The shower is pretty tight and I’m only 5ft1. any person in the 6ft range would struggle. Also the water pressure was quite low on it so wasn’t very powerful.

very nice place, very clean and newly decorated. lovely and warm in the icy winter.
only problem was the house at the end. They kept locking the latch across when we were unloading and loading up our car. so each time we had to keep feeling for bolt to unlock it. strange behaviour?
plus the communal garden is owned by same house so noone is allowed in it. shame as we brought 3 little dogs. However managed to take them for wees on the lane where we parked outside.

Location was spot on, all amenities accessible
A disgrace at the start. U acted on the information provided to myself ie emails and texts, I was provided with 2 different addresses then I spoke to a lad who was ignorant and not helpful to say the least.
Upstairs above us there was lots ov noise banging etc until midnight and throught the day on at least 3 out of 4 days.
Dogs were constantly barking in the yard yet its hypercritical to ask us to be wary of dogs yet the neighbour in the 1st property was very ignorant.

Everything inside, the colour, decor and surprise tea/coffe/milk.
The key safe box outside on the wall. We followed the instructions to the latter, but tried to get the key safe open 5 times. By this point we got very annoyed as nothing happened. We then knocked on a neighbour's door and they got it open, but said a number of other guests had the same issue. Maybe it needs to be changed to a digital safe.

central location.
although there was a garden immediately outside the entrance to the studio it was not available to our dog. In fact it had 2 dogs belonging to immediate neighbours in it during daylight hours. For a studio apartment it didn’t feel cramped or on top. The apartment is tastefully decorated and there is plenty of cutlery plates glasses etc we stayed during 38 degree temperatures and it was so so so cool cos it’s kind of built into the hill which was lovely and much appreciated.
There wasn’t any dog bowls provided which generally there is in dog friendly properties. Mainly it was fantastic but there was 2 big bug bears for me - it was difficult to find and as reviews before me said the neighbours had to help us find it. There is a gate where a sign could easily be put up. furthermore the neighbours have a dog and the access to the property is through their actual garden - although I appreciated taking my dog I’m not sure it’s necessarily fair on the people and dog who live there as residents of Whitby to have to deal with tourists and their dog coming in and out and stressing their pooch out in their garden and own home. Seems like the owner is making money and unecessarily allowing dogs whilst the neighbouring Whitby residents and their dog are somewhat suffering which seems unfair.

Fridge had been turned off so was covered in water. Bedding was dirty with hairs. Pillows were very uncomfortable. WiFi was inconsistent and mostly unusable. The shower was tiny you couldn't be taller than 5 foot 6 to wash your hair. The TV didn't work most of the time and the signal was awful.

Was a really sweet studio, well cleaned and set up and in a great location close to Whitby. Unfortunately we found the mattress really uncomfortable though which ruined the stay. The studio was perfect for a weekend getaway for two. We initially got confused about the entrance - would be helpful for a photograph of the back gate to be shared with future guests. Other than that the flat had a little kitchenette that was reasonably well equipped, it was covid-safe and the bed was comfortable. A bit on the expensive side, but it was one of the few places available in Whitby in spring/summer so we were happy to have booked it ! The location was great, walking distance to the harbour and nearby attractions.
