I understand York is an expensive place to stay. But I found this area very intimidating. This property advertises a garden. It’s very overgrown.
A long walk into town.
The neighbours dogs x2 (bullies) burst through the fence while my 2 children where in the garden with my small dog. Very terrifying if they hadn’t ran into the house in time. Dread to think what could have happened.
Then we went out for dinner and came back and the neighbours were in our garden!
A horrible constant buzzing noise from above the washing machine.
Couldn’t watch itvx cause someone had set a PIN number.
Depending on what you’re going to York for depends on why you would stay here.
I wouldn’t recommend this property or area to my friends. Very pricey for what and where it is.
But the beds were comfy and clean.
Shower good. Quite spacious.
You are forced to pay for insurance and there’s a £60 cleaning charge added on that you don’t know till final payment.

We had a comfortable stay. Location is okay, not that far from the city centre — around 10 minute drive. There’s a walkable grocery store and a bus stop too. Toilet seemed newly refurbished, so it’s nice, clean, and spacious. Kitchen is equipped with more than enough cookwares and stuff. There was just no toiletries such as basic shampoo or body soap, if we are to compare it to the other Airbnbs we’ve been to.
