The welcome, the location, the view, the peace and quiet, the overall presentation of the property, the facilities: all excellent.
A high quality property in a perfectly quiet location. A great basis for exploring the North Yorkshire moors.

Having to walk through the main bedroom to get to the second bedroom, but this was a really minor thing all things considered, and I appreciate that there isn't really any other viable option 🙂

We had an amazing time at Millfield Cottage. We were greeted by the lovely host Jill, who made us feel welcome and showed us around the property. The area was beautiful and the views from the cottage were stunning as was the garden.
The cottage was well equipped and extremely clean, we loved it. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to stay again.
There is plenty to visit in the area, the coast is not far and the North Yorkshire moors surrounding the area are amazing.

The cottage was extremely well-appointed and in a lovely tranquil setting with beautiful grounds to explore and plenty to do within a short drive. When we arrived the table was laid and a fire set making us feel instantaneously welcome & at home. A real gem of a place.

Nice, spacious family friendly place suitable for young children. The play room was a hit with our toddler. Lovely welcome by the owner who was very accommodating. Surroundes by greenery and the grounds were worth exploring.

This is mainly to do with booking.com. I requested a travel cot as it stated on the property description it could be made available upon request. Booking.com denied the request stating it wasn't available. This was not consulted with the owners. When I arrived the owner was more than helpful and knew nothing about the request for cot. However she did have it in the property and provided us with all the sheets and blankets etc for it. This made our stay really comfortable.

Fantastic venue for a Christmas break and to visit family. Amazing warm welcome from Jill and Steve, and great to return here each day. Beautiful scenery and walks from the door, lovely outlook over garden, ponds and stream.

Thank you Jill and Steve for sharing your cottage with our family. We had an absolutely lovely time in your peaceful corner of the North Yorkshire Moors. The cottage was spacious and luxurious and the kids loved the playroom and large open spaces also. We would love to come and stay again in the future.

Millfield cottage is absolutely beautiful and worth every penny. Jill & Steve are tremendous and lovely host's and are very helpful with there local knowledge. We had a few issues with host & stay regarding the damage waver, wrong gate code number and they never told Jill & Steve we had a 3 year old and a 3 month old, Jill & Steve we're also in the dark about these issues. We had a wonderful time and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

A stunning property that was ideal for our family of 3. The owners - Jill & Steve were friendly and so welcoming. The “cosy cottage” as our daughter named it had all the comforts of home including a beautiful playroom that our daughter fell in love with. The bedroom was peaceful with soft linens and black out blinds, and beautiful views during the day. Everything was so nicely decorated, so much thought has gone into this property.

We were able to easily travel to Flamingoland, Scarborough, and Dalby Forest within an hour of the property. We had such a brilliant time. We will definitely be back to enjoy the outside space more when the weather is a bit brighter. Thank you!

This location is perfect for families, property have beautiful landscape with frequent visits from rabbits running along the grass. There's also owl nesting on one of the trees which is something to keep an eye for. They had everything we needed during our stay. I would definitely recommend to visit with your family and kids.

Loved the attention to detail and how super clean it was. Ideal for children too, who are well catered for with toys and a special play room too. Good location if you want to be less than an hour away from everything but want peace and quiet.

The property is great, nice sized rooms and in the heart of the countryside with chocolate box views all around.

The hosts were excellent and offered a friendly welcome.

We loved this place and cannot recommend it more highly. It is a beautiful home in a stunning location. It has been immaculately maintained, was spotlessly clean with every possible thing we could need for a home away from home (plenty of equipment to cook, lots of firewood for the fire, and 2 lovely touches of fresh fruit in the bowl and tea and scones in a welcome hamper - thank you Jil :) ) The host welcomed us warmly when we arrived and had kindly put the fire and some lights on for us as we arrived after dark. There was a super extra sweet surprise of a wonderfully equipped play room which our 2 young children loved. We will definitely be back, thank you.
Our only comment would be having to go via Host & Stay who have a silly insurance waiver policy (we have used Air BnB for 11 years and never had to pay one) and who didn't even send us the check-in details until we called them less than 24 hours before check-in - but we cannot fault the property or it's host, thank you.

Millfield cottage is a stunning property set within beautiful grounds as an annex to the main hosts property and accessed via the same entrance. The property is furnished with everything you need and more and well thought out.

The inclusion of amenities within the offering makes it feel like a home away from home and in all honesty goes above and beyond what would be expected of a short break accommodation. The welcome basket and log burner already going on arrival supported with breathtaking views and immersion in nature were brilliant.

To add to this, the property is finished to an extremely high standard and spotlessly clean with exceptional attention to detail.

The play room was a brilliant surprise with a great range of toys and play things for the children.

The hosts are brilliant in supporting and offering advice and guidance and happy to deal with queries and advice about the local area.

The offering is absolutely stunning and a true credit to Jill and Steve.
