We all enjoyed our stay.
There was 4 generations on our little break away & the accommodation worked well.
It was comfortable, tastefully decorated & spacious.
Everything was sparkly clean on our arrival & there was a welcome pack of essentials too.
The hottub is private & not overlooked so a real bonus & we had a dog with us so the secure garden was perfect & the park just behind tbe property was ideal for morning walks.
As we were a 4 generation family it was great to have TV in each bedroom so at certain times everyone could watch their favourite programme when needed.
We visited Sandsend & can highly recommended Fish Cottage for a meal, eating inside or out & The Tiger Inn at Easington do a lovely meal too with a varied menu.
We would very much recommended this property & would visit again.

We all loved the house. The layout etc.
Everything we needed was available Loved the hot tub
Location great next door to Queens arms. Sunday lunch there was gorgeous
The sofas were a little uncomfortable and the bedding in the upstairs room anyway needs replacing as it has got to the bobble stage from washing so much which is to he expected but it's a pet hate of mine so others maybe.wouldn't mind.

Cottage is lovely. Very clean, the place is as you see in the pictures. Hot tub was great. Great enclosed garden for our dog which was fab and parking just outside. We were a little surprised that the cottage was attached to a property that people live in, we thought it was detached but perhaps we missed this when booking. Either way, didn't cause an issue as the neighbours were very quiet and you can hear them in the property. We had some issues with the heating and WiFi during our stay. Host and Stay were difficult to communicate with and didn't read what some of our messages actually said, just responded with auto messages! However, the actual owner was excellent and attended the property twice to fix the heating and WiFi. He was there within minutes once notified and couldn't have been nicer. Can't fault him! Would stay again!

Lovely accomodation and a great location close to a good pub dog walking field to the rear and garden feels private and secluded. Bus available from the main road to Saltburn if you want to avoid the busy car parks

Gorgeous place to stay, we loved every minute. Only slight downfall was that the outside lights around the hot tub wouldn’t turn on and no one got back in touch with me. Otherwise we had a great stay and loved how close we were to other pubs and the nearest town. House was gorgeous

Had a really nice and relaxing stay. The hot tub was delightful and the local restaurants were great too. The pub was most definitely a hit for a gorgeous meal. Overall we enjoyed the stay and the accommodation was clean, however, some of the furnishings really needed either some work done or replacing. For the price we paid I’d have expected regular maintenance to be carried out. There was plenty of room for both of our dogs and considering the property was semi-detached it was extremely peaceful. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!

Lovely quiet location, very good layout & facilities, gorgeous hot tub. Brotton and the cottage gave easy access to Saltburn, Whitby & other towns. As well as local shops & a lovely pub.

Beautiful accommodation that felt like a home away from home! Had everything we needed and even little cute welcome package with some goodies for both humans and dogs! There were 3 couples all with 2 little dogs each and we often find it hard to accommodate us, so a big THANK YOU for that!!!! The hot tub was extremely private and perfect for an evening of relaxing after long days! The cottage is tucked away down a private lane behind a pub and is the perfect location for visiting the north east coastline! Definitely would recommend to anyone and hope to go again in the future!!! ☺️

Lovely Airbnb, photos and descriptions matched online and the hot tub was fab, would benefit from a cover over the towels by the hot tub, to allow for the rain. Lovely welcome pack which helped set us up
Pub at the bottom of the drive served amazing food and Marske and Saltburn beaches where lovely.
Bedrooms super spacious and could easily take larger beds to make the stay extra luxurious. Lovely that towels where provided for the hot tub but we struggled to dry them, lots of towels and bowls provided for the puppies.

Location was lovely. Great pub at the front. Didnt get any noise or disturbance from it though as tucked away. Kitchen facilities great. All you could need. Hot tub was amazing. Beds very comfortable. Welcome pack very welcome. Walks from house were great...pretty much straight to cleveland way
Only negative was hot tub noise when sleeping but other guests werent affected by it...just myself

Very spacious for 4 adults and 2 kids. Great location especially when bus is £2 and at front of property. Goes whitby and middlesborough.
Neighbours dog pebbles loves a good morning scratch.
Heads up extremely thin walls. Can hear everything that happens from any room in the house. But only from the occupants inside. Neighbours are like ghosts, seen in fleeting moments and can not be heard.

Very easy to find, homely vibes. The welcome pack was unexpected but very thoughtful. Very comfortable beds. Loved the layout and the secure garden was big enough for my dogs for a run around and playtime. The hot tub was a bonus. The seating area in the garden was lovely to sit out and enjoy the warm weather on.
The lino in the seating area by the doors expanded in the sun so lifted up slightly, that would need sorting as could be a trip hazard. Thankfully me and my family popped the doormat on top so not to walk on it.

We enjoyed our stay and the house was very nice. The house has been decorated to a high standard but there is some small aspects of wear and tear such as the floor in the on suite and the wallpaper beginning to curl in the bedroom. The front door was also difficult to lock at times.
The hot tub is a great addition and we enjoyed this a lot. I’m unsure if it advertises that this can not be used past 10pm due to the neighbours. This was not an issue for us but I can see that it may be for others.
The hosts communication was great and there was recommendations for local things to do and places to eat. Please do try the pub at the end of the drive… the Queens arms. The food is absolutely delicious and all home cooked and in great portion sizes. The staff can not do enough for you.
All in all, a very pleasant stay. We would definitely return.
Thank you 😊

nice clean property and pub at end of drive serves nice food and friendly. Shared bin store is discusting, the property is semi detached, wasnt told this and the attached property is not well kept (car on bricks in garden, clutter everywhere). Hottub is located right up against next doors fence. The property is also next to a play park/field, doesnt show any of this in the description. Good location for getting to all the local beaches but would not pay this much to stay in this property again due to the negatives listed above.

Lovely quiet cottage with lots of space and a nice secluded garden. Hot tub was a nice touch, kitchen was well equipped and was great to have decent TVs in all the rooms. Made for a great base to explore the area - we liked Saltburn-on-Sea which with its Saturday market had lots of character. Food in the pub at the bottom on the garden was excellent.
Such a shame that there was no garden furniture to go with the patio so that we could sit out in the sunshine and keep an eye on the children in the hot tub.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the facilities were really good and the rooms clean and to a high specification. We’d definitely come again

Really lovely place to stay! Very clean, newly renovated and private location. The hot tub was a good size and although we had a slight issue with it, the owner came out to fix it very quickly. The outside area was great to relax in and the inside open plan kitchen/lounge area was great for when it got a bit too cold to be outside.

We really enjoyed our stay at Badgers Cottage. The house and garden is finished to a high standard and makes for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It’s a perfect base for exploring North Yorkshire. Host was very responsive as well to all messages. Fresh bread and milk was appreciated and also the games for the children and the dog accessories too. The pub and restaurant less than 2 minutes walk from the house is very handy and food great too. Would definitely return again in future.

such a beautiful home!
literally is a home from home.
the cottage was so clean! it literally felt like we were the first guests to stay!
has everything you could possibly need, the owners kindly put up a travel cot for our baby which was a great help.
the garden is immaculate!
the hot tub was such a nice feature, we only used it twice due to having a little 10 week old baby and not often getting the timing right for when he napped haha
However I was able to get a lovely nice bath on the night which was lovely!
We didn't go to the pub near by sadly as we attempted to be out of the house as much as possible to explore the area.
we was a regular visitor at the ship Inn in saltburn which was a lovely place to have a drink and food with great sea views (pirate vibes).
We was told someone would come round in a few days to check the hot tub was all in order.
a friendly guy came (unfortunatly for him while my son was having a screaming fit!) he gave us a quick knock and let himself round the back I hardly noticed he was there!
The area is very quiet, all you can hear is birds singing, the odd noise off the field from dogs and kids playing but nothing you'd really notice.
All you can smell is wildflowers!so lovely!
Also the dog next door (brown spaniel) is absolutely adorable!! always there for a stroke!
you will not be disappointed with this place!
the only thing I would say is that you do need to travel to places as Brotton is a little village with not a lot there unless we missed something! it's quite sleepy which was nice.
we travelled to saltburn, Redcar, sandsend,Staithes, whitby, and my favourite runswick bay! all of which not that far! there's a bus stop right outside the property so travel isn't a problem!
very happy with our visit!

Badger cottage was a lovely home from home for a few days away. Perfect for a family to enjoy. Big enclosed garden for children to play in had it been warm enough when we stayed. We enjoyed time in the hot tub, the whole place was very clean and welcoming. Plenty to do in the area. Perfect little touches from the host such as a welcome basket with a few essentials and still felt Christmassy with a pretty decorated tree. We would definitely stay again.

All I can say is wow, the whole interior and design of the house and the garden has been so thought through and there really is everything you think you need in the house to the hair dryers in the drawers to the board games in the box under the stairs for children (there is even a box for the dogs). The host was very attentive and helpful all weekend and on the run up to the visit ensuring we had all the information we needed and was available for questions whenever we needed. The location itself is in a great place with a 5 minute drive from saltburn centre/pier and a large complex with an Asda/b&m and an aldi, also being a 30 minute drive from whitby centre. If I was to say anything negative about the property i would inform you that the cottage isn’t a detached cottage as personally I presumed from the photos but other than that, I can’t fault the visit, perfect and worth the money, plus the hot tub is a massive added bonus :)

Lovely cottage, everything clean and comfortable and the hot tub was great. We had an issue with the internet but the host was very quick and responsive. The only downside is that there is a next door neighbour which you can't really tell from the photos.

The house was beautifully decorated and clean. The location was not what we expected. It’s in the middle of a large village, behind a pub and attached to another property. Next to it is a large park, which had a lot of evening noise from young people. We were expecting something more secluded from the pictures. Hot tub was great. Wi-Fi superb.
Before the booking I received frequent reminders to verify myself from a third party letting agency who manage the property. I tried to do this but the system the owners use did not work. Eventually I contacted the third party company who told me to ignore it and it would not affect my booking. I found it quite annoying that I’d made the booking through Airbnb, through which I am verified, but had a third party constantly contacting me.
Because of the location, I’d question the value for money. It’s not in the type of location we believed it was.

A fantastic place to stay, and a great base for exploring the local area - surfing at Saltburn was brilliant. A well equipped cottage with the bonus of a park and a huge field next to the property which our kids really enjoyed. The hot tub was fantastic too, and Rob visited regularly to make sure it stayed clean. The cottage is in the middle of the village, but it's a quiet setting with beautiful views from the upstairs bedroom. I'd highly recommend and our kids are already asking us to book again next year as they enjoyed it so much.
