Unfortunately we found suspected drug paraphernalia in a bowl in the kitchen cupboard. The host told us to dispose of this which was concerning. We also found a pair of dirty socks in the sofa. We were willing to ignore all of this but then we went to get in bed and found it to have a horrible odour, however the pillows were absolutely fine. We had to sleep on the sofa because the smell of the mattress and duvet was so bad and we could not find an Air BnB at such short notice. We then left after that night and had to pay for another Air BnB. The flat itself is lovely and has the potential to be a 10/10 accommodation, unfortunately we had a bad experience.

Great place to stay, literally only “issue” was it was fairly tough to keep warm, but there was electric radiators which kept the main rooms toasty. Would definitely stay again, loved have a parking space which is always important in Saltburn!

Flat was very conveniently located near the beach and cafes/restaurants, with private parking spot and ground floor was helpful. Saltburn is beautiful and we enjoyed being there. The decor was modern and the place was clean. We had some issues with the electric heater in the livingroom (was stuck on 13 degrees and in Jan wasn't ideal) and the fuse had blown in the bathroom rail heater so the place was a bit cold. I messaged and someone helpfully came round to fix the fuse on the Sat but we couldn't get the heater in the livingroom to warm up which was frustrating. A few extra things like sponges to help with washing up, a spare blanket in the cupboard, and an extra few loo rolls would help especially if people staying have a baby & a dog like us! Small things to increase comfort. Saying that, the company that manages the property were very communicative and apologetic. I'd stay here again but in spring/summer when it doesn't matter so much about the heaters.

Great little flat. Pretty cold on arrival! Heating situation is not so modern which would make me pick somewhere else. WiFi works well. Furniture all nice and flat had everything I needed.

Great location and private parking a massive plus. Only downside you need to bring your own kitchen cleaning stuff (I.e. Hand soap, dish soap and sponges) as these are not provided which was a little surprising. Otherwise good

Great little apartment central for both beach, shops and restaurants. Lovely to know you have a parking space to return to after a trip out. Night times were peaceful even with the great traditional pub which is very handy right behind the apartment’s car park. Bed incredibly comfortable but sofa could do with an upgrade - it wasn’t the one in the picture! Saltburn is a gem of a place well worth a visit!

Nice cosy flat, a two minute walk to the lovely beach, nice restaurants and a supermarket. Very comfortable, apart from the tired sofa - not the sofa shown in the photo. After reading previous reviews it would appear that other guests have made the same comment. I probably would not have booked if I’d seen the sofa that is actually in the flat not on the photos. If you stay make sure you know how to use Netflix apps etc. It would be good if you provided a small amount of washing up liquid with cloths etc. crockery and cutlery not the cleanest, and needed washing before use. Kitchen well equipped. £250 deposit was taken at least 2 weeks prior to staying - not refunded until 10 days after returning keys. Bit cheeky!! On the whole a nice flat in a great location, just a few niggles - loved Saltburn!

This is a wonderful accommodation. It was clean and tidy and matched the description as well as the photographs. The location is beautiful in the town of Saltburn with plenty of places to eat and drink as well as little boutique shops. It is in a prime location to explore Whitby and the north Yorkshire moors. It is ideal for walks along the Cleveland way.

We arrived early evening, exiting the car we were greeted with an intensely loud crowd of drinkers from the pub directly behind. Inside the apartment you could not have the window open at night due to the level noise in the evenings- it was hot. Did not sleep well. This was the weekend though, Sunday evening was less crowd more individuals shouting till after 12. The apartment has everything you need. It was comfortable and relatively clean - we arrived to a puddle of what can only be described as bacon fat all over the kitchen floor which we had to clean up and it subsequently left a sticky residue and was just gross. The bathroom light was not working. Both these issues were raised and the light was fixed the day after I contacted the company twice. The location is fabulous. The apartment is comfortable and decorated very well. Overall the noise from the pub was awful and we came away very tired had I known about the pub directly behind I would not of booked.

This is a really nice apartment and with private parking, making it a perfect location in Saltburn. Close to the promenade and numerous restaurants, it is very well fitted out, comfortable with an exceptional bed and very quiet. Easy access too. Had a couple of very minor issues which were acknowledged with speed from the host. Only downside of Saltburn which we were aware of anyway is that it is very hilly and therefore not ideal for some. There is a cliff lift close to the apartmentto get visitors down to the beach. I can highly recommend both the apartment and the town.

Great locaton! perfect for your stay. Close to everything. Great little pub around the back of the car park too. My only little critic is that the sofa on the picture isn't the same, why does that matter you may ask. Because the one on the photos looks very modern and inviting, the one in there is a 3 seated that's been sat on that much it has no cushioning left, and looks dingy. Therefore didn't sit and watch TV or anythig but other than that, the whole place was great. it doesn't advertise and iron and we msged and ask about an iron to be told no, so we took one but don't worry if you forget cause the hosts have put one in the wardrobe- BONUS. Enjoy, well worth a visit.

Excellant location, right in the middle of Saltburn. Pretty quiet. Place had everything we needed. Sainsburys just a short walk away, as was the pier and beach. Communications from host were clear and helpful.

We had a very comfortable stay in Saltburn by the sea. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and in a brilliant location. Very close to the beach and to the local shops. It was very easy to find. Loved that we could bring Reggie, our dog, and was very impressed with the online guidebook and local recommendations - especially noting which ones were dog friendly was really helpful. I’d highly recommend no 23 for a pizza! Overall a lovely stay and we would come back again.

Me and my partner absolutely loved our stay! It was extremely clean - couldn’t find any faults at all. There was plenty of kitchen appliances, utensils, plates, cleaning products etc, all stocked up like your standard home. Bed was comfy, so was the sofa, huge tv & little tubes of shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom:)It was literally a 3-5 minute walk to anywhere, would love to stay again!

lovely stay. Right next to the beach front and close to everything in town. We got a really nice takeaway from the Indian restaurant on the corner of the street. Got lucky with the timing of our stay as dogs were only allowed on a small section of the beach after May 1st till September. We had a good sleep but there was a pub round the back that was kind of loud but it didn't disrupt our sleep and we were visiting on a bank holiday weekend so it probably isn't that loud normally. Overall a really nice stay

Stop looking just book it. After 16 months of me and my wife not being able to get away for a weekend we booked Amber Shores for 2 nights. We wanted quiet, but lovely walks but this place really is a true gem. We are from Doncaster and a month ago after spending 1 day in Sandsend we drove up to have a sneaky look and must admit was disappointed. We couldn’t have been anymore mistaken. The flat is very well catered for, modern and very very clean. To be honest for 2 people it’s huge, and the living room has a massive sofa with a big tv. Turn right It’s 100 yards to the sea front which boasts on of the longest beeches I have seen and a beautiful walk. Turn left and 100 yards there are a row of wine bars and restaurants.. Perfect 👍 We 100% will book it again but one bit of advice is book Seaviews restaurant early it’s book well up. Thank you for letting us use your apartment and hope to see you soon.

Amber Shores is in a great location; seconds away from the beach, a Sainsbury’s within a few minutes walk and easy to join the Cleveland Way and other walks. There are lots of bars and cafes nearby if you want to go out, but the apartment is comfortable to just hang out. The apartment is well equipped with quality items. I’d recommend staying here.

We only stayed for 2 nights, but were impressed with the apartment. It was clean, modern and had everything we wanted. On the ground floor and with private off-road parking it was ideal. It was close to a supermarket so that we could get supplies and cafes and restaurants were also within easy walking distance, although with the present situation, it was all al fresco! Good job the weather was wonderful! There were some wonderful walks along the coastal path and the beach was beautiful, even if the water was cold!! Unfortunately, the funicular down to the beach was closed as were many of the shops and restaurants on the pier (Covid related of course) but I am sure later in the year, this will make beach access much easier. It's a steep walk or lots of steps at the moment! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment without hesitation!
