Quiet area. Parking outside house. Central location. Very nice property. Very clean. Plenty to do in Barnard Castle - walks, eateries, pubs, museum, theatre. We hope to return.

Lovely cottage and a great location, really easy access to the town and the hospital where I was visiting a family member was 2 minutes car journey up the road.
Would highly recommend.

The only down side was the cooking hob didn't work so had to eat out, however this was reported and should now be fixed.

This property is centrally located. It takes just minutes to walk into Barnard Castle, with all its lovely restaurants and cafes.
The cottage is spacious and well appointed. The bed in the main bedroom was gigantic and both beds were comfortable. We found everything we needed for our stay and more.
The neighbour in the adjoining property was very friendly. He came straight out to meet us on our arrival and gave us some restaurant recommendations and maps of the local area.

The sofas in the lounge were a little on the small side and not the most comfortable. I don’t think this would be a problem if you visited during the warmer months and were out and about most of the time. However, the weather was very cold so we’d planned lots of cosy nights in at the cottage and would have appreciated a bit more comfort.
