Jane was such a wonderful host. She was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely to deal with. She was responsive and quick to resolve issues: being a basement flat in a 100-year-old building, the carpets were a little musty, so Jane bought air purifiers to sort it out right away. The wifi also wasn't reaching beyond the lounge despite boosters, and she fixed that fast too, with a much stronger booster in place shortly after. Any quirks you'd expect from an older basement flat barely registered thanks to how attentive, kind, and easy-going Jane was throughout our stay. The flat had a lovely collection of books, films, and games to enjoy, and the location is hard to beat a 7 min walk to Hove station, close to restaurants and cafes both ways, and a short stroll to the sea. We spent three and a half very comfortable weeks here and would most happily recommend it.

We would like to thank Jane and Emma for letting us stay in such a lovely location while we were in Brighton and Hove. The accommodation was exactly as described which was ideal for myself, my wife Jemma and 12 year old daughter Grace. The location was perfect - quiet but not far from the Brighton seafront. Flat was in an amazing location, close to city, easy to catch busses. Local pub and restaurants were amazing, local pub had great entertainment. We really enjoyed our time here, close to my eldest daughter so easy to travel to each other. There was limited parking by but Jane recommended where to park and it all worked well for us. Im allergic to dust and flat just needed an extra dust otherwise it was fab. Great break away. Thank you.

Janes house was just perfect for what we wanted. We were spending the weekend with friends who don’t have the space for guests so we just needed a place to sleep. The flat was clean, welcoming and had everything we needed and we were especially pleased with how quiet it was…we never heard a thing. Although we didn’t need to use the kitchen it was well equipped if you did want to cook. Bathroom and shower was great, very clean and lovely warm shower. Would highly recommend!

Amazing. My fiancé and I stayed here. our first time in Brighton. The home was beautiful and lacked nothing. Jane took the initiative several times to make sure that our stay went well and she responded promptly to all of my concerns. I love that the home is walking distance from restaurants, pubs, shopping, supermarkets, the town center and Brighton Pier. Public transportation was less then 5 minutes. I highly recommend this listing and we will stay here again

Great location. A short walk to the beach, restaurants, shops and train station in Hove, although the road the flat is on is quiet and peaceful. We walked to Brighton most days, but you can also get a bus/cab or Uber quite easily. The property itself is really lovely - clean, tidy & spacious with a modern kitchen and bathroom - it had everything we needed. As a host Jane couldn't have been more helpful and went out of her way to accommodate our needs from start to finish. It was perfect for our girls weekend away!

Really nice flat in a great location! We stayed with two young kids and our only slight issue was that our toddler kept trying to get in all the kitchen cupboards which was difficult to stop/police as there is no door to the kitchen and utility room.

We loved Brighton all the family. Cozy to stay a bit away from the city center but still within walking distance. And so close to the sea 😊 Many good and cozy bakeries and other practicalities nearby. Many bus lines when you couldn't walk into town. Plenty of room! Just plus!

We had a lovely holiday in Brighton and surrounds. The flat was in walking distance of great little restaurants and even into Brighton. No car necessary as we were able to walk or catch the bus everywhere. Car park very expensive.

The hosts are extremely kind people, helped us to fix the WiFi issues even despite they just came back from a long journey. Location is top notch, the neighbourhood is superb, short walking distance to train station and to the seaside. Apartment itself is ok - spacious and has everything you need. There’s two things to note however. As it is lower ground, it is quite damp. Turning on heating helped but I would recommend the owner to equip the place with a dehumidifier. The second thing was WiFi - only works in the living room. That is an issue because since it’s a lower ground flat, the mobile network barely works in the bedrooms. We really enjoyed our walks to the seaside over lunch, thank you for accommodating us!

The location of the house is really good The check-in process was also easy. The furniture, cooking utensils, etc. were all spotless. The bedding is clean and comfortable. The warm water came out well and the heating was good. However, because it is a semi-basement, it smells unique to the semi-basement, and it has a slightly humid feeling. I was a little worried about this because I had kids Other than that, everything was good.

Great location, fairly near to the beach and all amenities .It's near a good bus route for easy travel around Brighton and Hove . The area is peaceful despite being so near to lots of shops, restaurants , bars and cafes so provides a good balance of rest and entertainment . The flat was as described in the advert, it was clean and well-equipped for our stay . The lounge is spacious ,as is the main bedroom .Both bedrooms are at the rear of the flat and were quiet . The bathroom is modern and cleaned to a good standard . The kitchen had everything we needed . There is a utility room but we did not use this . Overall, the flat has a homely feel with some nice features . Communication with the host was good and the response time was quick when we needed anything.

Very comfortable and bright "basement flat" with windows facing three directions, a pleasant kitchen and perfectly quiet bedrooms. Jane lives above the property and she is cheerful and pleasant. The office that manages arrivals and departures and can keep bags near the station, in a lively area of Brighton, is very professional and very friendly. Hove is a good option that allows you to discover Brighton on foot or with a short bus ride, while living in a quieter but still lively area. Choice of bakeries-cafés, restaurants, and the sea just a 5-minute walk away for swimming or strolling. The street is typical, pretty and quiet, and the supermarkets, cafés and pharmacy are really just a stone's throw away. We arrived from London via Hove station (5 minutes on foot) and left via Brighton station.

Great Hove location, with shops, cafes and restaurants just a few minutes walk away, and a 30minute walk via the main high street or along the sea front to Brighton, alternatively there are regular bus links into Brighton. The accommodation was in excellent condition and we thought that the photos didn't really do the flat justice! We were thankful for essential toiletries provided by the host. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

We stayed while visiting family & the flat was perfect for us. The spacious flat was clean, location & facilities were very good. This was our first time using airbnb & we were very impressed. We had a problem accessing the wifi but Jane sorted it out very promptly, wifi was great in the living area but patchy elsewhere, particularly the bedrooms. The bathroom was well presented with a good shower over the bath though a non slip shower mat would have been useful. When we visit Hove again, we certainly intend to stay here.

We were doing a pretty intensive walk along the South Downs and Jane’s place was brilliant for getting our heads down both pre and post our last two days. The apartment is clean and lovely, well situated, and the sun shone(not sure Jane arranged this!!) and we would look to use it again. Great place.

This place was great - a few minutes walk from the sea and near to shops, restaurants and Hove park which has its own Parkrun. We walked into central Brighton on each day of our stay although sometimes did get taxis back. Flat was spotless and had everything we needed. Would definitely return. Thanks for a great trip!

This was my first experience of staying in a place with an AirHost rather than direct communication from the owner. The location was perfect and is good value for that. There were a few maintenance issues like a dripping radiator (green substance?), leaking kitchen sink tap and my mother in law being locked in the single bedroom because the doorknob was dodgy. WiFi only works in the lounge and I found charging extra for use of a travel cot harsh.

A very well-equipped and clean property, conveniently located in the town of Hove. The sea is close by, as is the main road. The Airhost service is impeccable but, at the end, they don't need much, as everything you may need is already available in the house. Without a doubt, if we ever return to Brighton and Hove, our choice will be none other than Jane's flat at Hova Villas. Well done, Jane, you're a truly outstanding host.

Great place, as per the pics and well located near the shops, restaurants and beach. Clean and tidy and perfect for couples or a small family. Lovely hosts. If you are driving don’t park on the left hand side of the road during the day as it is residents only but you can often find parking on the opposite side of the road.

My wife and I stayed at Jane's flat for 3 nights with our two teenage children. This was our first AirBNB experience and we would highly recommend it. In fact, we hope to stay there again next time we are in Brighton and Hove. The flat was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We especially appreciated the fact that it had everything we needed, including little details like a DVD collection, books, games, and even some basic supplies in the kitchen, like oil, washing up liquid, tea and coffee, etc. as well as plenty of pots and pans, utensils and crockery. Communication with the host was excellent. We received all the information we needed before and during our stay and we felt like we would have had help and a quick solution had there been any problems during our stay (which there weren't). The location was ideal for us; a quiet street very close to the beach, two supermarkets, a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants, and hove railway station.

The accommodation is impeccable: very clean, very good-quality bedding, well equipped. There was even a large selection of DVDs available. The accommodation is 7 min walk from the beach, 40 min walk from the hyper center ( many buses bring it) but the walk is pleasant. A supermarket and a convenience store are just a few minutes away. Hove train station takes us directly to Brighton, Gatwick or Victoria Station. Ideally located and highly functional accommodation. Jane always responds to messages very quickly. No on-site hosting. The secret code is given at the last minute (perhaps for fear that one day we might arrive too early?). We were unable to leave the premises after the agreed time.

We enjoyed the place, it was comfortable and pleasant to stay, we could relax in front of good TV after a day in town. Location is not central but we found a shop, the seaside is 15 min walk, and the centre of Brighton was accessible by busses and taxis. Happy to recommend!

The appartment was wonderful, and just as pictured and described on the website.
