the place was nothing too special but it was decent enough for what it was. however there was 4 flights of steps to get up to it which kinda sucked and there were stains on our bedding and the floor also the flat stayed very cold regardless of heating settings but the biggest problem is the checkout they waited until the day before to try and make the checkout time earlier. when we had an issue they basically told us too bad and they'd charge the fees if we didn't listen I argued back and forth for awhile before airbnb itself stepped in and told us we were in the right and even then I still had to reiterate it to the host it doesn't sound like a huge deal until you consider we had it booked for 6 months and people plan around these times. you can't just change them willy nilly and charge fees when everything on paper or online doesn't support the change. it's unprofessional and it was a real annoyance. and it could have been a bigger deal under less lax circumstances for us

A great flat in a great location. The place was tidy, clean and had comfy beds - felt really cosy and nice to stay in. Plenty of lovely coffee, bakery and brunch places close by within walking proximity and a Co-Op around the corner too to pick up any bits and bobs. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Two nights perfect for visiting Brighton. Everything is within walking distance and the apartment is 2 steps from the waterfront. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The apartment itself was clean and well furnished.3 adults staying and it was big enough. However, one of the single beds ( very narrow single beds) was extremely uncomfortable. it felt ok to touch but when you actually lay on it, you could feel something poking through the mattress in several places. The bathroom, whilst clean and adequate could do with better lighting. The communal hallway needs addressing. I appreciate that it is old and has character but it was very very dirty and smelt awful. it seemed the carpet had not been vacuumed in a very long time. not pleasant. Excellent location and I would recommend if those 2 issues were resolved.

Comfortable cosy flat, ideal location. No issue with the communal hall - yes slightly '80s feel to the hall but this is typical in old buildings. The flat itself is clean and modern. If you come by car, parking can be a bit of an issue in terms of how long you are allowed to stay. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay

A few deductions in the review are because the kitchen or dishes were not checked particularly well between the last check-in and check-in by us. Another deduction was in the photos that were taken. It has been suggested that you have "Sea View", but that's not the case, you can't look at the sea from the apartment unless you climb on the couch and lean out of the window.

Lovely little Flat, we stayed there for a week with 4 adults and 2 kids. It was a bit tight, but worked out quite well. Everything we needed was there and location is quiet and right next to the beach.

The house fully met expectations. Beautiful, sunny, well divided and clean environments. A very small note is the French bathroom (solo toilet, while in the other there are shower and sink) and for us Italians, in particular, it can be a small inconvenience. The location is what I prefer, in a few minutes walk you arrive in the center of Brighton but at the same time, at any time, you can enjoy the view, the sea and the tranquility. Finally, the operators with whom we left luggage for a few hours, really nice and available and very close to the station. Great experience.

We travelled with our baby and did enjoy our stay in Brighton. The apartment looks exactly like on photos, we’ve got clear and precise instructions from the host for a self check in and got inside without any troubles. The beach is just in 5 min walk from the place with a lot of coffee shops there and we like this area of the city, stayed there for several times already. We didn’t experience any issues during our several day stay so did not ask the host for anything. The entrance of the building didn’t look as it was described by other reviews, we were ready to face a disaster but it was absolutely ok, probably needs some refreshment nothing more. And bear in mind the steps! We were ok with them though and left our pram on the ground floor. Will stay again during our next trip for sure.

The place is clean, cosy and nice decorated. My family and I enjoyed our stay in Brighton, location is near the beautiful sea promenade and we enjoyed lovely walks. The host is very friendly and offers a lot of useful information about the accommodation.

Very quiet, stylishly newly renovated apartment, which surprises very positively, especially after the ascent through the unrenovated staircase. We slept wonderfully in the quiet, sunny apartment with comfortable beds and cuddly bedding. The view goes over the roofs of the surrounding area. From Living room and the kitchen can be seen opposite the beautiful houses. You also have a side sea view if you are close to the window.

We have had a fabulous two night stay in this flat. When we first entered the communal hall and stairs we almost walked out! It was very dark and the stairs needed a good hoovering, there was dust all over. The wallpaper in the communal entrance looked grimy and dirty. This is not reflected when you enter the top floor flat. It is like two different worlds. The flat was pristine and clean and beautifully decorated. I would suggest that the communal areas have a lick of paint, first impressions count for a lot. My friends and I almost left as soon as we arrived. This aside, we had a fantastic stay in the flat, it was in a great location and fantastically clean inside, just as shame about the communal areas!

The apartment was clean and very nicely decorated and comfortably furnished. It had everything you needed! However, the windows were quite leaking and the living room and kitchen were quite cold...Despite heating. The hallway of the house was very dirty and moldy unfortunately!

This property was a little home away from home for us for the Easter break. A 15 minute walk to Brighton pier, nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle from the centre of Brighton but close enough that you can walk. The flat was clean and comfortable with everything you need to cook for yourself. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept very well each night. The only thing to be aware of is that you have a climb a couple of flights of stairs to access that flat, but that wasn’t an issue for us. Brighton itself was as always such a vibrant and fun place to visit. Loads to do with kids and all the shops, restaurants and cafes we went to were dog friendly. Loved every minute of our stay

We were very happy to stay in this very nice apartment. Perfect cleanliness, equipped with everything you could need, new decor and aesthetically very tasteful. The apartment, although not very large, is extremely comfortable and the spaces are distributed in a very functional way. The kitchen is absolutely fantastic and equipped with everything you need. The location is wonderful , a stone's throw from the sea, and not far from the center of Brighton. We have always found parking under the house, payable with a convenient app. Communications and requests were immediately responded to. We had a really good time.

We had a lovely weekend here celebrating my nephew’s 21st birthday. The flat is lovely and cosy and we felt right at home. We had everything we needed and we slept really well. We would happily stay here again.

Stayed for a few days over Xmas with a friend. Flat is nicely laid out and hallway helps it to feel spacious. Modern clean decor that felt cosy and nice to spend time there - fortunately as I got ill and sadly hardly moved from sofa! Heating effective. Bathroom warm and cosy. Living room spacious enough. As other reviews mention, there are some steep stairs once inside the flat which might not be suitable for everyone so please note that. I paid to park in someone's driveway about a 10 minute walk away as outside is residents only. Quiet road - can see sea from an angle from living room and v close to seafront. Walking distance to Kemptown cafes, food shops and nice place to just wander and browse. Had an issue when we first arrived which was addressed promptly and effectively. Thank you.

Great place! Right next to the water so there is a great view from the street. Only downside is it was up 2 flights of stairs but that was not an issue for us. Would definitely recommend

Great location in Kemptown close to the beach and loads of great restaurants and shops. the rest of Brighton's attractions are all walkable too or buses are frequent. the place is lovely, bright, clean and spacious. beds are comfy and we appreciated the black out curtains. Just a note that if staying with dogs there isn't an outdoor space, and there's 55 stairs down to the front door so not good for older pooches.

This property was ideal for me and my family situated perfectly very comfortable place to stay. If you find it difficult climbing stairs this property has a lot, but worth every step. Should we stay in Brighton again soon we will definitely look at this property 10/10. Thank you.

The apartment is well furnished and very pretty. The beds are comfortable. As mentioned in previous reviews, the stairs are steep and so it's complicated for a person with limited mobility to get there. Otherwise, everything is spotless:)

Great place, really spacious! The only downside was one of the single beds being really uncomfortable! Also, there are quite a few stairs to get into the property which can be an issue if you have mobility issues. Overall it was a lovely stay and would have been 5 stars if not for the lumpy bed!

Great little apartment in a fantastic location with a little bit of a sea view . Apartment was modern and clean and comfortable . Perfect for our weekend stay. The accommodation is situated between the marina and pier meaning around a 20 minute walk along the sea front either making it easy access to all the local amenities. Would definitely consider staying here again.

I would suggest that travelers carefully consider their luggage size and weight when booking this apartment, as it is located on the top floor without an elevator, requiring a climb of 4 flights of stairs. Additionally, the provided a photo do not accurately represent the property. One of the photos shows a view of the sea from the front, but that is not the reality. It would have been better if they had informed guests about the facility's maintenance before check-in! When I inquired about the washing machine during my stay, they only then informed me that it was undergoing repairs (the washing machine is located on the floor below, not inside the house).

Very good accommodation, indeed as mentioned in the description, the stairs are steep to mount a suitcase, you have to be two people. The accommodation is not well soundproofed from the bedroom, we hear all the conversations of the neighbors . Very good location in relation to the sea

Standing spots are out of order.The interior is clean and comfortable.The only disadvantage is that you need to carry your suitcase without an elevator up to the 4th floor.

A nice stay for a short Brighton break! Easily reachable from the railway station and the main pier. The flat is bright, nicely decorated and has all that one needs for a weekend away. The flat is on the top floor and once through the door, there is another steep set of stairs. The place is dog friendly (we had two small dogs) and the beach areas are all open for dogs. The communication was great, really friendly and informative. There is a nice bakery, a cafe and Co-op close by! It’s worth the stay, as it is away from the main drag and quite peaceful! Big thanks!!!!!

The flat was lovely. We were next to the beach, easy walk to places to eat. We weren't too close to Kempton we heard can be really lively so noise wasn't an issue. To get to the pier was about 20 mins walk, not a problem, but there are lots of busses running up and down the front and the road through kempton too if you want an easy and quick option.

Cozy, very small apartment in a calm street. Very close to beach, centre of Brighton. Generally we liked the apartment although very small for 3 adults. No storage in bathroom for hygiene stuff etc. Very cleaned!

Fantastic apartment in a great location; literally a 'stone's throw' from the beach and a 2 minute walk to some lovely independent shops, cafes & bars. Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and very well equipped, it had loads of character and felt cosy, safe & secluded. The utility room was really handy for storing the kid's scooters and the fact we could borrow camping chairs, cool bag & picnicware for the beach, was an added bonus! We'd love to stay here again, it was great value for money and we'd definitely recommend it to others. Please note: there are 37 steps to the entrance & 14 steps inside the property, this didn't bother us at all (in fact the kids found it really exciting!) but it wouldn't be suitable for anyone with limited mobility.

Beautiful place to stay. Warm and comfortable although not with as much character as other places. It’s very functional and comfortable. Beds are cozy and everything was accessible. My mam is 72 so the three floors of stairs was a bit daunting for her at times so be aware if u have mobility issues though they weren’t too steep and again easy to access everything.

I’m afraid I cannot recommend this host. While the apartment is nice and is reflected well in the images, the property is up five flights of stairs. This wasn’t mentioned on the listing and when I contacted the host in advance of booking to ask what floor the top floor flat is on, they advised me it was on the first floor. On arrival I contacted them to understand which flat it actually was supposed to be as there was actually several floors. They didn’t have an answer to my question… We had a small dog and a one year old child who don’t do stairs with us. It was a nightmare getting in and out of the property. Furthermore, one flight of stairs is inside the property, so a real a hazard for anyone with a child. The apartment itself is fine, just as shown in images. And Kemptown is also very nice. Lots of lovely coffee shops and boutiques. It’s just a real shame that we had a difficult experience. I note the host has not updated the listing despite our feedback.

This wasn't our original booking. We had boiler issues at out original place, but when the problem was noticed, Airhost was quick to offer us an alternate place to stay. The place was nice and clean, very well situated and easy to get to. Plenty of shops nearby if you're missing something. Isolated accident is that we weren't noticed that people were coming to change the front door lock (we had the keys for the new locks in the lockbox but we didn't know what they were for) so we got locked outside once, but this is obviously not something that would happen often. So I'd call this very minor over how great the place was overall. I would 100% stay there (or to any Airhost place) in the future if need be. They were extremely fast to answer any time I had to communicate with them.
