This quirky period town house, which is just a few steps from the seafront and buzzing St James Street, has been lovingly restored and individually decorated & furnished. Step through the front door into the colourful reception room with big L-shaped sofa! Set over four floors with three double bedrooms, a large bathroom with shower and roll top bath, a big kitchen/dining room & a beautiful west-facing walled garden at the rear.
The space
This unique seaside home is truly one-of-a-kind, offering a vibrant and fun space filled with colorful furnishings and decor that beautifully complement its period features. Designed to be both sociable and comfortable, this home has everything you need for a memorable stay in Brighton.

Upon entering on the ground floor, you’ll step into a welcoming lounge with a large L-shaped sofa, which also serves as a sofa bed for one or two additional guests. This room flows seamlessly into a spacious dining area with seating for six to seven guests and offers access to a sunny, private garden - a perfect spot to relax and unwind. A sofa bed is available in the living room which can be made up upon request to accommodate an additional guest, thus providing an occupancy of seven maximum.

Head downstairs to the fully equipped kitchen and dining area, which includes all the cookware, crockery, cutlery, and glassware needed for convenient meal preparation. The garden can also be accessed from this level, adding to the home’s sociable layout.

Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms with flexible sleeping arrangements that are ideal for both families and groups. On the second floor, there’s a king-size bedroom and a twin room with two single beds. The first floor hosts another king-size bedroom alongside a spacious family bathroom, complete with a luxurious freestanding roll-top bath and a walk-in shower.

All beds are made up with fresh white linens, and ample towels are provided for each guest, along with complimentary toiletries, tea, and coffee to make your stay comfortable.

The secluded, west-facing patio garden is a true highlight of this property, with a brick-paved surface that captures the sun beautifully—an ideal retreat for relaxing outdoors.

Ideal location - a short walk from the pier, easy to stroll to The Lanes, North Laine and the city centre. Note that the front foor opens directly onto a bustling side street so it's not quiet during the day (but I doubt you're going to Brighton for peace and quiet) though we had no issues with noise during the evening or overnight for our midweek stay. The place has loads of character and the beds were comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were spotless, though the decor in some places could do with a bit of TLC.

Excellent location - so close to the heart of all the activity as well as the beach for a morning swim. Host is super responsive and very helpful. All round a very good stay

Note Listing stated the sofa bed can be used was broken. Glassware was smashed in cupboards so had to clean out. No cleani g products available to actually clean. The toilet brush was absolutely disgusting. The listing had originally said for 8 people but they had changed the listing so extra expence for people. In general not that clean. When looking at the comments they knew the sofa bed was brojen in February but nothing was dobe. They messaged ne the morning of ta say vacate at 10am but the check out clearly stated 11am. When you spen nearly 1500 to have not even the bare minimum. location however was good

We were very excited for our stay with relatives at this property. Unfortunately my eldest came out in chicken pox a few days before. We contacted the owners who suggested we went through air bnb’s options for a refund/reschedule. They then went on to decline both options leaving us £612 out of pocket. We asked multiple times for a reschedule and offered to pay the additional. The hosts would rather have a child with chicken pox stay at their venue than reschedule which we saw as unfair and unsafe for the visitors after us. We then went to air bnb who tried again to reason with the owners but they also had no luck. They said “they try and help in exceptional circumstances” but apparently contagious chicken pox wasn’t good enough. Even with a doctors note. Absolutely money grabbing and so unempathetic. Would never ever book with these again.

Loved the house & the 2 uninvited guests (mannequins 😅). The furniture, beds & pillows were very comfortable & loved having the little garden to spend time in. Great position, literally a 5min walk to Brighton Pier & beach front. Also, very happy with the service provided by Host & Stay, any time we contacted them, they were very responsive & helpful.

    HOUSE RULES Please take your shoes off when inside the property. Please be considerate to neighbours at all times. Please be considerate to As per the listing: no extra guests, no smoking and no parties please, at all times. Any lost keys and keys not returned to correct location will incur a charge. If a guest locks themselves out during their stay and requires assistance there will be a minimum charge of £25. Unless agreed in advance a late check out will incur a fee of £50 per hour. There will be a fine of £50 for smoking indoors. If there is any sign of a pet having stayed at the property either inside or outside, you may be liable for extra charges. Property Manager Terms

  • For a full refund, the guest must cancel at least 5 full days before the listing’s local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email).

  • Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is cancelled before check-in.
