The space
Head down a few steps to the private entrance of this bold and beautiful Brighton apartment. Beautifully designed throughout with a number of thoughtful and fun design features, it's set up for the perfect guest stay.With a double bedroom and plenty of storage, there are also 2 fold up single beds that can be put up in the lounge so the apartment can sleep 4 guests. Plenty of fresh linen, towels, toiletries, tea and coffee are provided. It really is a home from home.
There's a large comfy velvet sofa and big 40" TV in the lounge that has French doors that lead onto the terrace with patio and benches. There is plenty of free WIFI too.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher plus plenty of crockery, cutlery, cookware and glassware and a narrow table that's perfect for breakfast or brunch for 4.
Perfect for 4 guests, it's located on a pretty residential street in a conservation area, that is just 10 minutes from the beach. In fact, you can see the sea when you look straight down the street! It's also just a few minutes from cafes, shops and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance.

I'm sorry for the bad review and I've shared it with Host&Stay but unfortunately this accommodation is extremely dirty, it's not worth the price. The location is perfect, super well located, but between what you see on the listing and what you find on arrival there are a lot of differences, dirty kitchen utensils, infamous cupboards, stains on the sofa and carpet, impossible to eat either inside or on the terrace which are in the same condition, the owner must review the condition and cleanliness of this place. This won't stop me from renting again with Host&Stay, but I'll be more attentive to reviews, as these problems have apparently already been highlighted before.

The flat was not properly cleaned and is not maintained. The pillows were yellow, the mattress was brown, and there were stains on the carpet, sofa, pillows, and even the sheets. Plates were still in the dishwasher from previous guests. Basic supplies were missing, like bin bags and a sponge. A lamp and the kettle were broken, and the bathroom door lock didn’t work so if the door closes fully you need someone from the other side to open the door for you. Some bed slats were broken, making the bed uncomfortable. There were no curtains in the bathrooms, and one window faced directly outside... The musty, damp smell in the entire flat was so overwhelming and probably the worst part. We had to buy cleaning spray to feel comfortable sleeping. Customer service just dropped off new sheets with no further help. Considering the price being charged, the standard falls well below what is acceptable. The location is the only good aspect, but be aware it’s at the top of a hill.

We arrived in Brighton early so we left our luggage at the office. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The cab driver drove us to an incorrect address first but later found the right one. The airbnb was appropriately announced and located at a basement so it was not a surprise to find the few steps to reach it. They were steep steps. Difficult with large luggage but not impossible. Inside, we found the place clean and prepared for our stay. The place was fully equipped. Access to the terrace added light and provided fresh air. Printed instructions were clear and additional information truly helpful. Extra linens and towels were useful too. The area is quiet and peaceful at night. There is a magnificent view of the beach from the top landing. The centre as are many other amenities so walkable. Good bang for buck. Definitely fit for purpose.
