Great location in the center of Canterbury. Easy to walk to places of interest.
Shower and toilet didn't work in downstairs bathroom.
Bed slats were too thin and slipped off the frame when we got into bed. Mattress would collapse. Downstairs bed uncomfortable.
We would like a partial refund for the inconvenience.
Cannot recommend this property .
We were not told where the lock box was. I expected it to be next to the door. It was in the garage.

It was close to the cathedral.
There was no regular TV or fan, the sofa was extremely uncomfortable, the alleyway location was terrible because it was used by drug addicts as a hangout and all the local staff smoked outside the window making it smell of smoke all day. Lots of noise from surrounding businesses at all hours. Woken up by extremely loud glass bin collection at 5am two nights.

The location was great. So close to the city centre and main roads. The house however needs some maintenance because there is a bit of a smell in the place from the carpets i assume. Overall great for a short stay.

Very underwhelming apartment definitely needs to be updated the carpets were flithy and the apartment was very musty and dusty and full of cobwebs!!! They state in the advert child friendly and it was the complete opposite single bedroom on the ground floor and double room on the 2nd floor with full length windows that open completely out on to the street which was really not ideal with a toddler would not recommend but the location was good and the management team were responsive when we asked for fans as it was very warm! And very noisy street as it's across from the back of a restaurant and lots of people smoking and talking and rubbish collection at 5am on Mondays not very happy to say the least

The location was great for town, easy walking in abt 5 minutes.
Was a little noisy at night but otherwise was good.
We chose this property as it had parking, but it was a very tight squeeze for family car.

The location is excellent
Great to have a washing machine and racks to dry clothes
Stay was advertised falsely...eg 3 bedroom when clearly was 2 bedroom.
If we were aware of this ...we would not have booked it.
Toilet brushes in both toilets were filthy.
I understand some things take time to rectify eg....massive stain on carpet and kitchen benches that need replacing....however not a good look
I hope you understand these are objective criticisms....and overall we loved our stay

Best location in Canterbury. With a parking space included!!!!! Great for a weekend citybreak. Facilities all excellent except a new sofa is desperately needed and I’m told on its way.

I liked that everything was on a separate level. my brother stayed in the single room and I stayed upstairs, it was perfect for us while visiting family in Canterbury.
I Also liked that the property let a lot of light in, the large windows throughout made it feel very roomy.
the toilets didn’t flush particularly well, if I’d been sharing my toilet with someone that could’ve been a problem.
It also would’ve been nice to have a small milk or milk pots at the property. we stayed 2x nights so didn’t want to buy milk but with all the other tea making facilities available, it would’ve been nice to have a little milk too.

flat is in fantastic location in the city centre with excellent access on foot to lots of attractions, restaurants etc. Great to have parking on site too. and the communications with the host is very good.
the flat itself is more functional than cosy and could do with a little TLC. Great base for exploring from, but if you want somewhere to relax and spend time in, I would choose a place that focuses a bit more on comfort.

The location is noisy during the night and early mornings when you want to rest. Finishes are tired and some flooring should be replaced.

I would not recommend staying here. We spent a week in the flat and never got a good night’s sleep due to noise from neighbors, people on the street and rubbish collection in the alleyway at ALL hours of the night. The ground floor single room was unbearable in the summer heat as the person in our group sleeping there did not feel safe opening the window at night. Finally, the flat was not very clean when we arrived and most of the cutlery in the kitchen was plastic. It felt like the bare minimum was done to check the “fully equipped” kitchen box. I read most of the reviews for this flat before booking and dismissed the one bad review because there were far more positive ones. I regret not taking the warning, so again must recommend finding another place to stay on your visit to Canterbury.

Please DO NOT stay at this property. It smells awful inside on the bottom floor. The front door is frequently visited by hard drug addicted homeless people arguing, dealing, drinking and on one occasion actually sleeping under the property in the parking spot and leaving broken glass around my car. The parking spot was frequently obstructed so I couldn't exit the property easily and the actual road to exit the property was blocked on several instances by cars parking for the city and we could not even drive to exit the property! So had to cancel events. It's super noisy and the walls are paper thin so you can hear quiet conversations clearly let alone the arguments. The inside of property is shabby and substandard the owner has just painted the kitchen cupboards and worktops with regular wall paint to make things appear clean, and so anything you put on them just stains/tarnishes the worktop. I could go on, it's a facade, and whilst some of these things are outside of the host's control these details are omitted from the listing which focuses on the property internally. I ended up leaving mid way through the paid period to stay elsewhere. The host / rental company couldn't give a toss about this and despite having the opportunity to resolve and part-refund some of the unstayed time preferred to fall on corporate policy and keep my money. Stay away.

Excellent location. The hosts were very quick to respond and were on hand for anything we might need. The parking is really convenient next to the property. Only downside was the noise experienced in the downstairs bedroom, but in the upstairs double bedroom it was very peaceful! Would stay again!

excellent proximity to the city and cathedral where our daughter had her graduation particularly as the weather was not springlike!
free parking - although slightly tricky parking
a bit noisy at night - bins from neighbouring businesses.
slightly tired “studenty” feel

If you like a lot of stairs this is the place for you it’s a three level first level is a single bed a bathroom very small. The Second level is where you have your living room TV in that was OK refrigerator didn’t get very cold. The third level is where the double bed is at which was okay you really need to learn how to use the heaters otherwise you’ll will bake up there. The outside was dirty with garbage sense it’s behind a restaurant you get lots of noise kids going through there because the school is not too far.

This house has a great location, just off the Kings Mile, and is quite spacious with two bedrooms and bathrooms. The decor is looking rather tired, but it was warm and comfortable. The walls to the neighbouring houses are quite thin, so expect some noise from the neighbours, and also from the bins being moved outside early in the morning. Note that parking and car access to the property is very tight! We were a bit worried about being blocked into the parking space, but luckily that didn't happen during our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in Kings Corner. The location was perfect and right in the town centre. So many shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. It was also only 30 minutes to places like Ramsgate, Margate and Leeds Castle.
The town house was very clean and the bed was super comfy. It also had everything needed to cook a couple of meals.
The only thing we found was that it was very noisy. Mainly in the morning with the cathedral bells and deliveries, bins being moved about and could also hear people chatting out on the street. It was also the early hours of the morning too which woke us up a couple of times. We did see some other reviews about the noise and can see why but it didn’t ruin anything for us and the town house was lovely.
Would definitely come back and stay here if we were to visit Canterbury again.
Thanks Blue Fox

We had a great stay at King’s Corner. The location is perfect, so close to lovely independent shops/food places/galleries and characterful buildings on Palace Street. The bed was super comfortable and the house overall looks really stylish. The kitchen had seen better days but had all you needed. The walls were a bit thin, we could often hear the neighbours next door, but this wasn’t a big issue. We really enjoyed our trip. Thanks Blue Fox!

Property was in the perfect location to explore Canterbury for a few days! Excellent and easy stay. We needed a home from home while repairs were being done at our house, and this was ideal. Comfy, central, lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. A little bit noisy early morning when deliveries were arriving at the back of the restaurant opposite but we soon got used to it.

This was a very lovely place to stay. The host was amazing and very responsive. Everything was clean and tidy, amazing food options from nearby restaurants, and great location. Very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.
There are a few things I didn’t enjoy, but these things are out of the hosts control and purely due to location.
Firstly, I couldn’t leave the windows open because the stench of marijuana from outside just made the apartment stink.
Secondly, when people are being noisy outside, it sometimes sounds as if the person is actually in the house. It was very scary. It’s a very noisy location.
Thirdly, there was construction going on and a lot of heavy machinery that created a lot of noise. This wasn’t very pleasant when trying to relax in the lounge as it made the whole building vibrate and was very loud.
But as I said, these things are 100% out of the hosts control - I’ve just written these things for others to read.

Myself and my daughter had a lovely stay in this house in Canterbury. The location is absolutely brilliant with the town on the doorstep, and inevitably on a warm summer’s. evening there can be some noise. It’s fantastic to have an allocated parking space. Unlike some other places this house has a proper kitchen with 4 gas rings, proper oven, decent size fridge with little freezer compartment and even a washer dryer!! It’s really nice that each bedroom has its own bathroom too. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here, it really felt like a mini home for us for a few days!!

In general we had a comfortable stay at Barbara’s place. Communication was easy and the self checking went smoothly. Having off-street parking that close to the city centre was a bonus, however it is a tight squeeze. It is a great location for exploring Canterbury. The downstairs bedroom only has space for one single bed not the two advertised. The forth person will have to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. Some of the issues we experienced took a bit longer to resolve than we would have liked. Also for long stays extra bedding comes at an extra cost

Great clean, comfortable accommodation in a central location. Communication from the hosts was excellent throughout and couldn’t have asked for more.
Having parking in such a central location is a major plus, as the majority of accommodations rely on using one of the city’s pay and display car parks (but no guarantees of a spot nearby for loading / unloading).
The only slight thing we hadn’t considered is being so close to retail units / restaurants means that on multiple mornings unfortunately we were woken by bin collectors dragging wheelie bins down cobbled streets (this probably wouldn’t be an issue in cooler times of the year, but during hot weather we obviously had the windows open in the bedroom overnight)
Overall all though for convenience of the location and proximity to the centre for access to facilities, restaurants and shops we were very happy with our choice.

Excellent location, well equipped flat and very spacious. The quality of the furniture was very high(good bed and sofa) It was a place to relax after a day of outing.
Minor issue when the weather was hot(it was 30 degrees!). The food waste bins that belong to the restaurants were outside the flat, so the food smell came through the window on the first floor.
All windows can be opened to full length, so be mindful of little children trying to jump out of the window.
Having a parking space was a real bonus!
