We had a wonderful stay in Gordon’s flat, located in the prestigious 7 dials area and within a few minutes walk to the sea, shops, restaurants, railway station and plenty of buses. Sherry gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and was great at communication throughout our stay. The flat was clean and well equipped with everything we needed and we would definitely recommend staying here.

Sherry deserves a mention! When my flights were cancelled and then delayed, I didn’t arrive at Brighton station until midnight… And Sherry picked me up and drove me to the property. I was then given a tour of the flat and had everything clearly explained. Such a beautiful personal touch. I genuinely felt I could reach out and ask for anything I needed.

Great stay at this spacious and cozy Airbnb. 🦋 We came to 2 friends in Brighton for 4 days and 3 nights and we were very well hosted by Sherry who is adorable and remarkably kind❤️. The Airbnb is a little off-center on the other hand, 15 min walk to North Laine, 20 to the city center and it goes up to come (I prefer to warn) but nothing unfeasible:) on the other hand, 3 bus lines stops 1 min (barely) on foot from Airbnb and even spend the night! (For party-goers like us it was great!) The bedding is great and if you have nice weather the terrace is super nice. Excellent cuisine! Would recommend ✨

Home away from home!! I was incredibly lucky to have been able to stay at Gordon’s whilst I looked for a long term home and I lovedevery second of living there. There are so many pros! - incredibly comfortable bed of a very high quality - very quite flat yet in the heart of seven - spectacular location: Flour Pot cafe, Seven Cellars beer and wine, Kindly health food, delicatessen, salons, pubs, and a handful of adorable shops, all within a three min walk - 15-17 minute walk down to the beach - the tub, shower, kitchen are all stocked and excellent - the flat stays cool in the summer and warm in the winters (I was there at both times) - Sherry is the best host I have ever come across! She is kind, helpful, and is all about the details - 12 minute walk to Preston Park and 10 minute walk to Brighton train station (if you are walking slow) - there’s a small park across the street - there are so many more… Cons: Honestly, there are not any! It was truly a home away from home.

We love Brighton,after visiting family there over many years. This has to be our favourite place to stay. Its quiet, though so close to train station, lovely shops and pubs at 7 Dials, which is a real gem of an area. Buses frequent down to tbe sea. Sherry, who hosts with Gordon,was kind, responsive, and gave us a warm welcome. The apartment us stylish and spacious. Good place to recover after tge grandchildren! We will be back!

We had a lovely stay at this Airbnb, Sherry our host, was very friendly, and made sure we got into the flat and showed us around. The only downside was having to ask our host to adjust the heating / timings, we couldn’t control this ourselves. Other than that, would highly recommend!

I love this Airbnb! It is absolutely superb. In fact, I enjoyed my stay so much, I booked it again in April, May and also in June. From the start, my correspondence with the manager of the flat, Sherry, was absolutely five-star! At every stage, she was incredibly helpful and supportive. I have spent a fair amount of time in Airbnb's this year and I can unequivocally say that this flat feels like home and Seven Dials is by far one of the best places to stay. The flat is a stone's throw away from everything you need, plus, it’s a 10-minute walk to the train station and a 15-minute walk to the beach. On this trip, I was specifically looking for a quiet, spacious, calm-feeling AirBnb, where I could work and sleep without disruption, and pop out at any moment to grab a bite or a pint, and I found it! It is very quiet and feels surprisingly secluded. The wifi is perfect, the furniture is comfortable, and the bed and the duvet are of excellent quality. I could not recommend it more!

Well located basement flat in the Dials with local shops and cafes etc all within easy reach...the street, being a route to and from the town, is a bit busier than others in the area but inside the flat is quiet, warm and generally well equipped. There are steps with handrails down to the basement.

Sherry was super-helpful in meeting me, making sure I knew how everything worked, gearing the heating to my preferences, telling me about the very-local area. She stayed in touch to make sure all was well, and that scaffolders weren't being unduly disruptive. The flat is exactly as shown. Very spacious. I'm always pleased to find basic store-cupboard stuff in a kitchen. The location is brilliant - a short walk from the station and from the beach. Happy to recommend.

Sherry is soo sweet. Our journey to Brighton was a bit distressful because our flight from Paris to Heathrow delayed and we lost the two last coaches we had managed to book. So, we had to buy another ticket for the last train available. We arrives at Brighton station at 00:45 and Sherry was there! Waiting for us with a great smile and a warm welcome hug! She drove us to the flat and showed all the details we needed to know - where are the keys to the doors, to the windows, how to heat the water…and the next day she checked on us too. The flat was very cosy! Was extremely clean and smelled incredibly! The kitchen has everything we could possibly need, including all the seasonings. Sherry was kind enough to leave bread, coffee, milk, butter and chocolate for us. The shower was great - a lot of hot water and the towels were thick and soft - amazing cotton quality! The flat was not hot at all - we used to open the patio door and the kitchen window for air circulation and it was fresh and confortable. Everything was great. The only set back is that it is uphill. So, remember to take the bus (#7) when returning home. At the second day I gave up walking uphill. The fare fron the rail station to the flat is cheap enough (£1.70) to be worthy the foot ache the next day… rs 😊😊. We loved the place!

Nice basement flat in seven dials with everything needed, a comfy bed, a nice kitchen and a spacious living room. It is well located with small shops and cafe really close to the place. You can access a lot just by walking but there's also very frequent buses just 2 mins away. Sherry was nice, helpful and available as well. It was a great week, highly recommend!

Lovely spacious flat with great modern facilities and furnishing. It's a basement flat but gets plenty nice daylight from the large windows and patio doors. Great location - 15 minutes walk from town centre and lots of nearby shops. It's across the street from a park, and very little traffic noise at night. The host is wonderful and easy to reach with any questions or issues. We would definitely stay at this same flat if we visit Brighton again.

We loved the kitchen and the fact that the flat was self-contained with its own entrance. The location is perfect and you can walk to the Co-op within ~3 minutes. If you're a member of the Enterprise Car Club, there's a car opposite the flat with great availability 24/7. This place will definitely become our "go-to" in Brighton when we visit friends & family in the future.

When we first got home Sherry greeted us and helped us get settled in and introduced the house to us. As it was our first time to Brighton, we didn't know the place. We asked every question that came to our mind. Sherry gave us good answers. Coffee, tea, spices, milk and other essential kitchen supplies were available at home. Plates, glasses, pots, pans were in good condition and sufficient. The house was well cleaned. In the bathroom and toilet, there were the basic necessary materials and they were sufficient. It was nice to have a balcony in the house. We had a great 12 days. A big thank you to the host and Sherry for this. This house has the ideal size and facilities for short and long term stays. The location of the house is also in a very good place. We walked to most places we wanted to go. This was also important to us. Note: I write this comment in Turkish and translate it into English with Google translate. If there is a word or sentence that is not understood, it may be caused by this.

- the toilet flush broke numerous times and we kept having to fix it - we got back at one point and there was foam all over the floor outside which we had to walk through in order to get to the front door - there was a disgusting amount of dust/dirt under the bed - we were asked to take our shoes off outside? Bit strange - don’t recall there being any mention of it being a basement listing. When we got to the address we didn’t know where to go. We rang the company in charge of the letting and they told us we were 30 minutes late arriving to the listing and the property manager had been waiting for us that whole time to let us in. According to the messages this is incorrect. We asked the property manager when he arrived if this was the case and he informed us it wasn’t and he’d only just arrived. Again, quite strange. - from the moment I booked the listing I was bombarded with messages from the company. It was such a bad experience that I nearly cancelled the listing. When booking there’s no mention of this so when I asked for recommendations I was sent a link to the Brighton tourist info website. Very impersonal and the quantity of messages was extremely unpleasant.

Gordon's flat is in a fantastic location—opposite a green in the lively (but not excessively busy) Seven Dials neighborhood. Those able to manage a few hills can walk to all of Brighton's favorite attractions. Communication and check-in were friendly and fast, and the host provided helpful maps of the area. Unfortunately, it really can't be avoided: the apartment just isn't terribly comfortable, for a number of reasons. First, as noted by previous guests, the space is very damp. There is a dehumidifier in the entry, and this seems to help, but it can't manage the load for the entire flat, and had to be emptied of water at least once daily (we stayed four nights). No doubt relatedly, the linoleum floors in the entry hall and bathroom are sticky underfoot, as are the kitchen tiles—we took to wearing socks indoors; their soles quickly turned brown. It also has to be mentioned that the sewage from other flats in the building seems to flush and drain outside the bedroom window. This was particularly unpleasant during our stay, because it coincided with a heatwave, and we weren't able to open the window without letting in a strong odor. And a small thing, mentioned because it seems to have come up for other guests, too, and would appear to be so easily fixed: the toilet seat in the bathroom is broken in such a way that it won't stay up. Guests who typically pee standing up will have to choose between holding the seat in place by hand, aiming with great care, or adopting a new technique for the duration of their stay. It is hard to cast blame for all of this—it's a garden flat at sea level, so dampness is to be expected. Keeping such a space clean isn't easy. And some guests may well have a different experience from ours. It truly gives us no pleasure to be so critical—especially when everyone we dealt with during our stay was so kind—but if one has saved and planned for a holiday by the sea, we think they deserve to see honest reviews.

Thank you so much for allowing me to live in the apartment for two weeks. I liked it very much. The apartment is a bit dark, but illuminated with beautiful lamps. It has everything you need and it is beautifully furnished. And the location is fantastic. Everything in Brighton is easily accessible and the apartment was very clean. Many thanks to Clare, the housekeeper, she helped with everything very fast and friendly.

For a first experience of ever using AirBNB, staying at Gordon's place was a great introduction. Good and prompt communication prior to my arrival and during my stay. Easy to find, a nice place, comfy bed, very clean, good facilities and some extra nice touches such as tea, coffee, bread, milk, juice and cake... Plus a map on the wall with some guides and different bits and pieces. 15 minutes walk from the shorefront - so a good location, with a local co-op and other shops/restaurants a hundred yards up the road for getting additional supplies. This flat is decorated beautifully and located in an ideal location. There is a Co-op to do food shopping 5 minutes up the road and a few really nice pubs within 5-10 minutes walk also. 10- This flat would be an idea Brighton stay, however it has a big issue with damp. Initially when arriving at the property there was a slight smell of damp in the bedroom and hallway. However through the night the smell got worse and the room got very stuffy and felt like there was no air, even though we had the window in the bedroom open as per the owner's guidance. The damp was so bad that on the second night we were unable to sleep in the bedroom at all. Both me and my partner felt a tightness in the chest due to the damp, which has not left us even though we have been back home for 2/3 days now. We were only there for 1.5 days and had to leave at 5am on the second day otherwise we would definitely asked Airbnb to move us. The flat looks generally clean, but is dusty everywhere. The sofa looked nice enough in the photos, but in reality is old and worn out, below the cushions there was a lot of dirt and food. There were dirty utensils in the kitchen cupboards and there were cigarette butts in the small patio are and in the doorway in front of the flat. The bed was also really uncomfortable, as this was a floating bed pushed against a wall (which was actually in built wardrobes) this left a small gap between the wardrobe wall and the bed for the pillows to keep falling through. There was an old log cushion to help stop the pillows falling, but this itself was not stable and so made the whole thing pointless. I don't like writing this sort of review, but we wouldn't stay here again. Thank you for refunding the £30 cleaning fee, but to be honest the refund is not sufficient for the damp issues.

Ideally placed by Seven Dials to have a great evening out within a 2 minutes walk. Great to get into the town centre and lanes with a lot of choices of routes. This was a beautiful flat in the most ideal location. With a 10 minute walk to the lanes and station; as well as co-op and coffee shop, just up the street, this place was just right. Gordon offered an awesome book selection at the home too, that I would definitely recommend checking out. Great stay on Vernon Terrace.

Unfortunately my partner and I could not stay past the first night due to the overwhelming smell of damp within the apartment. A dehumidifier was already on when we arrived but the smell did not subside at all. This was such a shame as the actual lay out of the flat was so nice. The outside area was also disappointing as there was no furniture as listed and it was full of cobwebs/spiders, hadn't been swept and the overflow pipe from flat above was blocked so water cascaded onto patio, an unusable space. IMPORTANT- If you are planning to stay here, please make sure the smell of damp has been rectified by the host before your trip. We wish we had taken notice of other reviews before booking.

We had a great stay at Gordon's. Communication was excellent and we felt very well looked after. They arranged an early check in and a late check out for us which really helped us out and also left fresh milk in the fridge which we were very grateful for on the first morning! Location is great, there's lots of pubs and cafes around seven dials and the town centre is a short walk away. The only downside is that the flat smells a little bit of damp, but from my experience with basement flats in Brighton, this is very common. I would stay here again.

The flat is in an excellent location, under 10 minutes walk to the station or city centre. The area the flat is in has a mini supermarket and some great pubs and cafes, literally one minute walk from the front door. But the road is lovely and quiet, you won't get woken up by the neighbours or people on the streeet. The flat itself is massive, so great for staying more than one night as you have space to do your own thing.

The flat is excellently located close to the train station, restaurants etc without being noisy. The flat layout is also good as the bedroom is not close to the living area. However, on the downside the flat was not as clean as we expected (not dirty but there were crumbs and "bits" on the floor, work surfaces and kitchen sink needed a clean and the crockery needed to be washed before use as plates appeared not to have been properly cleaned). The flat is at basement level, not a problem in itself but but we did not like the pervasive smell of damp - the dehumidifier provided did not shift the smell. The toilet was also not screwed to the floor and the toilet seat was loose which, if we had been staying for more that a week, would have been a major concern but for a few days we could live with just being very careful when using the lavatory. The mattress was a bit to hard and rather uncomfortable. The bed is really on the small size for a double bed, rather cramped for two people unless you are both really slim.

The flat is large, tidy and nicely located at the Seven Dials with many shops, cafés, bakerys and restaurants nearby. Early check-in was no problem and the host was very service oriented. The kitchen was fine and equipped with everything you could need in a holiday stay. The bedroom was small and the bed not that comfy, but OK. The only trouble was the strong humidity smell in the corridor of the basement flat which was noticeable in the whole flat although we aired the rooms as much as possible. An applied dehumifier kept the apartment dry, but it could not reduce the smell. For a short stay maybe not a problem, but it can be an issue.

We had a lovely weekend in Brighton. The host was very welcoming and accommodating. He really responded immediately 24h as promised. He was also positive when we asked for a late check out. Amazing flat, with a great kitchen and nice leaving room. It is located in a great location close to the city centre and also to the train station. On the downside. We have been disappointed with some aspects of the apartment. The flat could do with a good clean! The bathroom and kitchen were ok, but the floor, sofa cushions, edges and garden terrace needs a spruce up. We found cobwebs and dust around and inside the property. In addition, there was a disgusting damp smell in the property (probably due to the high humidity and the lack of fresh air). The host provided us with a dehumidifier but it wasn't enough, since we had to empty its full of water container almost every 4 hours. From this you can imagine how much humidity there was inside the property. For the money we spent on the place, you would expect a tidier and better kept property. No garden furniture like in the photograph! The insulation of the building is not that good as you can easily hear the steps and other loud noises coming from the tenants who live upstairs especially in the morning. To sum up, it is a really lovely flat for 2 people to stay in.  However, for its money you would expect something much better.

We had a lovely stay here in Brighton. However We have been disappointed with some aspects of the apartment. The bed was very uncomfortable and sinks in the middle. We lifted the mattress to discover the bed is broken, which is why this is happening! The flat could do with a good clean! The bathroom and kitchen ok, but the floor, bedroom cushions, edges and garden terrace needs a spruce up. No garden furniture like in the photograph! The poor plant needed watering and no water in the vase of flowers. Above all the damp smell is not very pleasant. For the money we spent on the place, you would expect a tidier and better kept place. No loo roll when we arrived was not the best and the man who greeted us didn't seem to know much about the place or the area and parking. On the plus side. The flat is in a great location. The kitchen is well equipped and it is a lovely space.

Overall we really liked the property including the excellent location, however there were problems with cleanliness in the flat including crockery and cooking implements which hadn't been cleaned properly; cobwebs and dust around the property and a damp smell in the property. Also, there was extremely noisy building work going on upstairs from early in the morning which we hadn't been told about. This really spoiled our experience at the flat.

A comfortable apartment in a good location. There is a public green space across the road, really nice to picnic here and it is only a few minutes​ walk to the beach. Would be very happy to stay here again.

Gordon's place is located in a very convenient position, less than 10mins from both Brighton station and Western Road (main road towards the seaside.. It's also less than 5mins walk to Seven Dials with shops and facilities. The house was clean and very well presented, with everything you may need, proci(including kitchen towel, plates and hoover, just to mention a few). Communication was excellent and prompt. The flat may smell a little damp but there's a very effective and powerful dehumidifier which helps considerably. Absolutely a place to recommend.

A very agreeable, large basement flat in a good location. Well equipped and clean. If you are a couple and perhaps taller or larger than average then the double bed may be a bit 'cosy' as it is a small double not a large one. All communication was prompt and accurate.

The place was really nice, the place is big and we had plenty of space. The flat is within a walking distance from the seaside and the bars/restaurants. Very easy check in and check out and communication with the host. I would recommend the flat and go back if I need to stay in Brighton again. Good value for the money we spent.

Beautiful outside the house, white building, easy access.But the house is on the B1 floor and the light is not good.Also the stairs downstairs are old and slippery, easy to wrestle, especially at night you need to be especially careful.The room is nice and has basic functions.

This is a great property in the heart of Brighton that offers fantastic nearby amenities and a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of town or to the beach. The cinema is also just 15 minutes walk, as are some lovely restaurants. The flat is well kept, clean and looks just like the photos. We were greeted by Heather who was very friendly, and we were always able to ask questions at any time of the owner. It's perhaps worth mentioning that it is a basement flat and during our stay it did rain, meaning there was a slightly damp smell. There was a dehumidifier running at all times, which helped. The bed perhaps wasn't as comfortable as I might have liked due to a gap between the mattress and the wardrobe behind it, but another few pillows would easily fix that. Taller guests may notice it more. Overall this is a great find and was a relaxing place to spend the week, thanks to Gordon for having us!

This was such a great flat , we had such a lovely stay and I wish we could have stayed longer. It had such a homely , warm , welcoming feel. So if you are looking for a chilled time alway its really perfect. It's in a good location and easy to find.10 minute walk to town and 20 minutes to the pier which was super convenient. I'd recommend it highly. You won't be disappointed:)

Meeter and greeter knew her stuff and was most helpful, suggest people take their alarm clock as it was so quiet there. Local convenience stores very close. The pictures do not do the flat size justice, it is very spacious. Would most definitely stay here again.

Great communication. Accurate description. Very accommodating host. Reasonable location, about 15min walk to Brighton city centre, via a big hill (down on the way into town, but up on the way back!). Flat itself was nice, but a small note to others; the air can be a little damp, so asthma sufferers beware. Otherwise, pleasant stay.

Collecting the keys was easy as someone was here bang on time. The place has been decorated very nicely and all very clean. Parking is £5 pday around the corner but the actual road is permit holders only but Gordon does have a few spare permits for £3 pday. Location wise this place is great. A stones throw from a super market and some cool little eateries. Brighton beach and town centre are just 10mins walk away. Would defo recommend this place!

Gordon's hosts were amazingly patient! Our journey was beset with delays, but each time we rang they were so accommodating and helpful, putting us at ease - despite the jams! The accommodation is great - a very spacious lounge with the added bonus of patio doors for that fresh air feeling. It was quiet with little or no noise from other people and the actual location is a gentle 15 minute stroll to the seafront or shopping centre.

Good and cosy unit. Could do with a dishwasher and not for being lazy but better cleaning and ensuring dishes are clean. Only drawback were the elephants upstairs. Couldn't hear their voices but buy do they walk with their heels. Thank you and definitely would recommend. Jonathan

My stay at Gordon's was a great experience for my first time using Air bnb. The house itself was neat and tidy and we were welcomed by the lovely Kelly. The house was a good size, but cosy at the same time. My daughter and I loved the flowers, candles.. and the coffee (it was a nice touch). The kitchen was well equipped, which made it easier to stay in during the bad weather! Would highly recommend this place to people who want to stay close to central Brighton.

Gordon's flat is in a lovely area of Brighton, walking distance to the centre but with great cafes/restaurants right on the doorstep. The flat itself is well presented, and it was unfortunate that at the start of our visit the de-humidifier was not working, however, Kelly who looks after the flat could not have been more helpful and brought us a new dehumidifier so that the stay was more pleasant. They were excellent hosts despite a few other small issues which were addressed.

This is a great place for a weekend in Brighton. The lounge room is huge and the house is very clean. There is a gorgeous little courtyard out the back. The bedroom is fairly small and the mattress isn't the comfiest, but it's ok! There are plenty of cafes/shops/restaurants within a minute walk and it takes around 20 mins to walk to the city center. We were provided with detailed tips for things to do and places to eat. We were met at the place by Heather the cleaner who showed us around and also gave us some great tips. Kelly was sure to check that everything was ok during our stay. Thank you!

My fiancé and I enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay at Gordon's property. Gordon and Kelly were incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. They replied to our queries in a prompt manner. The property was accurately shown on the Airbnb website. The property itself was warm and welcoming with tea, coffee and milk provided on arrival. Gordon left a bunch of flowers outside the property wishing us a pleasant stay which was a lovely touch! The property is well situated - it is within walking distance from coffee shops, bars, restaurants, shops and the sea! The bathroom lightbulb went out on the second day and within an hour of us contacting Kelly about this, the problem was sorted with no hassle whatsoever. We honestly have only positive things to say about our experience with the host and the property. It was such a great find! My fiancé and I just wanted a few days break in Brighton but the experience we had at this property was better than we expected! We would definitely recommend the host!

This was our first Air BnB experience and will definitely be using the site again! Kelly replied to messages immediately, was there for any questions and Jackie gave us a tour of the flat and was also on hand for any queries while we were there. The flat itself is in a fantastic location with lovely coffee shops nearby and a short walk down the beach. It's exactly as pictured - a spacious lounge area, a great shower, comfy bed and good storage for hanging clothes.
