Super beautiful apartment with insanely great views from every window and very beautiful roof terrace! Breathtaking views! The house is right on the center with beautiful old houses, quaint pubs and curious shops. I especially loved the very friendly artist neighbors. My daughter and I did a workshop with him (ornaments made of colorful broken glass). The beach is right outside the door, but it's also nice to just sit on the roof terrace, balcony or living room. The beds are comfortable and rather soft, there are 2 bathrooms (each with toilet and shower) and a bathtub. The kitchen is huge and has plenty of storage space for supplies. Overall an outstanding stay and the goodbye broke my heart a bit! I wish I'd stayed there!

We had a mixed experience with this stay. Despite being covered by AirCover, we were requested to pay an additional damage waiver. Airbnb assured us that external damage deposits are against policy unless clearly communicated during the booking process through API-connected software, which was not case here and not mentioned in the original listing. I contacted the host ahead of our stay and was told this would be reviewed, but our check-in information was withheld until we paid a non-refundable damage deposit upon arrival. This caused unnecessary stress and delayed our check-in. However, once inside, we found the apartment super clean, beautifully maintained, and even better than the pictures. While we loved the apartment, the check-in issue needs addressing.

Great location. Third bedroom was not as advertised. Its was a room with no windows or ventilation and bunk beds not two single beds as advertised. The en-suite was dirty. Dining room chairs and one chair in the living were stained and dirty. Very disappointing considering the price paid. Unfortunately we would not stay again.

The house was in a perfect location for the beach with a great view. We strolled in both directions along the coast. Broadstairs offered a great selection of bars and restaurants. The only issue could be the downstairs neighbours. There seemed to be zero sound proofing between the 2 properties. When we were there it was only occupied for one night, so didn't cause a problem. The beds were super comfortable and the "box" room was fine for our teenage daughter.

We had a wonderful stay - this is the most beautiful place with such a perfect location! We came with my husband’s elderly parents and they loved watching the hustle and bustle of the busy harbour and beach from the fantastic balcony. Very clean, everything was stylish and it felt like a very loved home which we felt very lucky to experience. We got lucky with the weather too! Couldn’t recommend highly enough - thank you!

Fantastic location, large kitchen and living room views were superb. Despite now parking onsite, very easy to unload and walk up the path to the place. Loved Broadstairs and it was fantastic way to start the day with a cup of tea watching the tide go out from the comfort of the sofa. Only improvements would be to buy more wine glasses, there are not enough and they are all Mismatched. The main bathroom really needs a handrail to get in and out of the strange sunken bath., very tricky to bath kids with the set up. Would stay again, the view is was amazing.

We had such a great stay at Ancient Lights, the place was exactly as described when booking (if not better). The bedrooms were all clean and comfortable, with two good bathrooms and an easy to use thermostat to control the heating. The living space upstairs was spectacular, an airy and open living room with comfortable sofa and dining space all positioned to enjoy the awesome view over the bay from the folding doors that opened out onto a lovely balcony. Even with the dreary weather that we had on our first day, we could still enjoy the outside from the comfort of the sofa! The kitchen was really well kitted out and it was nice to be able to close the door when we cooked to keep the living space free of cooking smells. The location couldn’t have been better, with access to the beach just down the path outside the gate and the shops (and arcades!) just up the path. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and we can’t wait to return!

Excellent place. we were looking for somewhere quiet for New Years, this was a perfect place, right beside the beach and starting point for the cliff walk, loads of lovely restaurants and pubs nearby with supermarkets. would highly recommend, house was lovely and clean and warm!!

We had the best views in Broadstairs with spectacular sun rises. I would definitely recommend this quirky upside down house with a panoramic sea view from the settee or the roof top. Loved it .

Absolutely phenomenal location with unrivaled uninterrupted view straight across the bay. Cozy in winter (with a log burner) perfect sun trap on brighter days - which was EVERY day during our week in mid March 2022. The view holds interest throughout the day and night as tides turn, weather changes and visitors and dog-walkers come and go. There is an excellent quaint independent cinema very close (which we visited twice during our stay). Every nearby (independent) pub and restaurant we ate and drank at was truly excellent (quality and value). We easily found free parking throughout our stay on the nearby clifftop road. There was no trouble or excessive noise (even over the weekend) and, whilst Broadstairs has enough to entertain a family for more than a week, we also enjoyed sunny clifftop walks to Ramsgate (in one direction) then Margate (in the other) for a change. This apartment is a real find - but the interior could now do with a refresh.

Lovely apartment with the most amazing view. No need for a television as we entertained ourselves staring out of the window. Beds were extremely comfortable and even though the third bedroom was small it was sufficient for a teenager to sleep in. Fantastic pubs and restaurants on the doorstep … would recommend The Jetty for its Sunday roast and the beach cafe for breakfast, both a 2 min walk from the apartment. Will definitely be returning when the weather gets warmer.

We had a fantastic break at Ancient Lights during February half term. We are a family of four and the space was perfect for us. The location is excellent with stunning views- it really didn’t matter when the weather was bad as you could simply light a fire and get cosy while playing games and admiring the sea view. The communication with the Owner was extremely informative and questions were answered extremely promptly. Would highly recommend!

Great location that sells itself. Lovely early morning views that we couldn’t stop going back to. Good communication from Blue Fox, much of which is automated. I’d recommend not sending messages to see how thing are if there isn’t a human response at the end. The place is great but a bit more thorough cleaning wouldn’t hurt. There are a few items in the kitchen that require either sourcing (colander) or replacing (most of the frying pans). These were flagged so hopefully not an issue for future residents. All in all, you won’t be disappointed with the location or views of the place, it’s lovely.

Amazing Appartement overlooking Viking bay! It’s beautiful and the views are stunning, no matter the weather. We stayed for 6 weeks with our two kids and really felt at home but you should keep in mind that parking is a few minute walk away through a footpath and you need to go down fairly steep stairs to get to the entrance and then up stairs again inside the apparent. It was fine though and the views and location just make you forget everything.

The best thing about this accommodation is undoubtedly its location right on the beach-front at Broadstairs. I was worried it might be a bit noisy at night but it really wasn’t as the road in front is not a through-road and just runs into a car-park. The views of the beach from the full width lounge windows are wonderful and the roof terrace is a great place to sit and look out too. However, my biggest gripe is that the property is advertised as (and priced as) a 3-bedroomed property. I personally think it is misleading to call it a 3-bedroom accommodation because the third bedroom is not actually a habitable room (no window or ventilation) it is literally a cupboard with bunk beds in it and no room for anything else. I don’t think this is acceptable as a third bedroom. Our two teenage children ended up sharing the twin bedroom because the third bedroom was so hot and stuffy and unsuitable as a bedroom - very disappointing!

A fantastic property in an absolutely brilliant location. The features and the quality of the accommodation were great. The view from the living room is spectacular. The bedrooms are a great size. The kitchen is well equipped and there are great little touches throughout such as high quality bedding, towels and toiletries. Blue Fox were great. They gave very clear comms and were very attentive, checking in before, during and after the stay. We'd love to stay again and can 100% recommend this property for families or groups of adult guests. Five stars. Thank you very much!

What a wonderful location! Right in front of the beach, great view and minutes from many local restaurants! Our children had a great time dispite the unpredictable weather. The communication was great from the blue fox team and the check-in process was very efficient. One note for any family with young children: there are a lot of stairs (down) to access the house. It is quite a challenge for toddlers or an adult carrying the pram to walk down. I also find the house would be made safer by installing a child gate on the living room level to prevent toddlers accessing the stairs. Overall it is a good choice for 4-day seaside break for us in this property.

The property is comfortable, spacious, and superbly positioned, with a wonderful view. A great base for trips to Margate, Sandwich and Deal. Enjoyed meals at Posillipo and Sardegna, and drinks in the Magnet micro pub.

A lovely place right on the sea front. Fantastic views, well equipped, and very convenient for the beach. Communication was good prior to arrival, and check in was easy and smooth. It’s not for those looking for a peaceful escape, as you do get a lot of noise both from the street and through the walls from neighbouring properties. But that is to be expected given the location, and the compensation is being able to easily pop back and forth to the beach - and great people-watching! The roof terrace is a lovely extra, but could do with some sun loungers and a parasol to really get the most out of the space. The bedrooms were pretty warm in the hot weather - but very noisy if you left the windows open! A word of warning, the chairs on the balcony stained a few items of our clothing with rust, which we haven’t been able to get out. So definitely cover the chairs with something before using them. We tried to work remotely from the property one day and the internet wasn’t really fast enough for video conferencing - but fine for everything else.

The location and accommodation was perfect. Great view, close to the beach and restaurants, quiet at night, good fireplace, good kitchen and comfortable living room. There were a couple of minor things that together made our stay slightly less enjoyable. One of the toilets was broken, we understood firewood would be provided but it was only two logs and scraps of firelighters (for a 5 day stay over a cold weekend) and not enough disposables provided given the 5 day stay with 5 guests (only one bin bag, not enough toilet paper, only two dishwasher tablets, no surface cleaner, etc). Had a lovely time nonetheless, it just impacted the value rating :)

Lovely location and accommodation. There are quite a few steps so need to take that in mind, especially with little children. One of the toilets was out of order during our stay which was disappointing but aside from that we had a very good stay and enjoyed the property.

A lovely apartment, with wonderful views. The balconies were a real treat along with the roof terrace, to watch the sunrise, sit and have a coffee and watch the world go by. The apartmentwas plenty big enough, the beds super comfortable with lovely white linen. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need plus a large fridge and freezer and ice maker. The hill up to and the stairs down to the apartment are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. But I can say the apartment was one of the nicest we have stayed at, and Broadstairs was such a lovely place to visit. We can't wait to come again.

Location is outstanding - and the morning sunrises are something to behold. Communication with the host was fantastic and they were great to deal with. We did stay with a 6 month old - so it’s worth noting there are quite some steps to enter the property, and another staircase in the property. We would certainly stay again!

This is a lovely property in a great location, it’s well-equipped and was very clean. Due to the bad weather there were some leaks from the patio doors in the bedrooms but this was dealt with professionally when reported. The balcony is a great addition...even in the winter!

The apartment itself is very spacious, with comfortable furnitures. The bed in the master bedroom is very big and very comfortable! Very spacious kitchen, very well equipped. The view from the balconies is outstanding. Lots of very nice restaurants and shops in walking distance all around the apartment. The only downside would be that you can not access the apartmet at street Level, but have to walk up a short, but steep foot path with all your luggage, and to get to the entrance you have to walk down a steep set of stairs again. Other than that - if you arel looking for a place with outstanding seaviews in the heart of Broadstairs, Ancient Lights is it!

The property is exactly as described and is beautiful throughout. The living area is gorgeous and even though our stay was a wet and windy weekend in October, sitting and watching people on the beach from the warmth of the sofa was great! The location is perfect and we would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Broadstairs.

There are lots of very good features to this property which I have commented on above, including the stunning location. However, there are major issues regarding the lack of storage space in 2 of the 3 bedrooms. Living out of a suitcase for one night can be done but for 5 nights is extremely difficult. No wardrobes and no drawers in 2 of the 3 bedrooms is unheard of in my experience of Airb&b and should be highlighted in the property's description.

Beautifully newly renovated 2 story maisonette. Excellent far reaching views over the bay. Large balcony the full width of the living room that is totally accessible via the bifold doors, bringing the sea into the living room. Very light and bright throughout due to the skylight in the kitchen and over the stairs in the living room. Light modern decor throughout complimented with oak flooring and staircase. Comprehensive kitchen and appliances. Lots of the owners personal touches making it very welcoming as well as a wood burning stove. There is a steep ascending footpath to climb and then a metal descending staircase to access the property so not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Otherwise top marks all round!
