Very disappointed with the property I'm afraid. Strange smell in the living room, upon entry, that didn't go away even after opening the windows. No mirrors in the whole flat. Multiple hanging cobwebs in the hallway. Dirty oven and oven tray which we had to clean before using. Multiple pieces of broken glass in the courtyard. Despite being offered as suitable for 4 guests, there were only 2 breakfast bar stools available meaning very difficult for a family to eat a meal. Integrated fridge door handle broken. No microwave or dishwasher unlike other similar properties we have stayed in locally. As others have said, the bedrooms are really poorly configured with no space in the main bedroom. The flat seemed unloved and purely a money making exercise and not worth what we paid. Will not be staying again.

We decided to book the apartment as a last minute weekend away for Easter bank holiday. Finding the apartment and collecting the keys was relatively easy and the interior was very clean and tidy. Unfortunately the great first impression was short lived. We couldn’t find the parking permit, despite the host saying it should be in the welcome folder but there wasn’t a welcome folder either. We did manage to park nearby adhering to parking restrictions though. There is a small yard to the rear but unfortunately it wasn’t usable though due to the weeds and discarded rubbish much to our children’s disappointment. The beds were comfortable and warm but could benefit from mattress protectors and better pillows. Despite the issues we encountered the apartment, though basic, was a comfortable base for discovering the local area especially as Guisborough high street is a short walk away with some great places to eat. We would consider staying again if improvements were made.
