We had difficulty in gaining access to our Coach House booking because entry is via the back from the upper car park.
At no point was this made clear
The bar is an unrelated business and the bargirl was not aware that the coach house had its own entrance
It would have been more than helpful to have known this!!
Once inside no internet!
And no logs for the log burner!
Additionally when we got home, I discovered that I had been charged for 3 rooms!!
I had clicked on an icon pay £5 to upgrade your room ended up being charged for 2 rooms and was not offered a full refund when I took this up with booking.com as per cancellation charges in Terms and Conditions I was told that I had booked 2 rooms, certainly not my intention, so after protracted dispute with Booking.com on phone and exchanges of emails I was eventually told that I would be credited for the unused 2nd room which counted as a “ no show “ and that £79.85 cancellation levy would therefore apply as per T&C
So in summary al these issued made for a stressful situation
Do not be tempted to upgrade your room, you may be charged twice as I was by both Host and Stay and by booking.com
All somewhat distressing on top of struggling to find our room and being incorrectly advised by the girl behind the bar” of a completely unrelated business
She did not know that the Coach House has entirely separate access from the upper car park and no internet, how come ?

The place was lovely, the bath size was great, warm and homely for the night. Only downside is the communication was poor upon arrival as we asked a few basic questions to which were ignored, making us a little anxious about the credibility of the place. Other than that no issues with the stay itself and would return :)

We enjoyed the Airbnb itself and the furniture was comfortable. We especially enjoyed the large bath. Unfortunately we had a patchy experience in other aspects. We arrived to find no signage or instructions to find the property itself. We had to call the pub manager who gave us the entry code. We eventually received our welcome email the next day which lacked a lot of detail and was for the wrong property. There were no lights down to the door - not ideal when I was 30 weeks pregnant. The room was basic and only had minimal supplies. We stayed for 5 nights and could have done with bigger cups, glasses, a mini fridge etc. There was also no signal and no WiFi. I guess my mistake for not noticing that on the ad but be prepared for being off grid!
The place was comfortable but set up more like a basic hotel room without the perks and no reception desk.
